Came here for a mani pedi after walking by and being on a lunch break from a conference near by. There was one other person getting a pedicure and 3 employees sitting down. I walked in was asked what I wanted and color. I choose and was prompted to sit in the back. My pedicure took less than 10 mins and was not good I had to ask the lady to check on the cuticles as they were not done right. Then the nail polish she had to fix on my toes. She was not very personable either. The free wifi was not working… The sign said 24.99 $ for mani pedi but she charged 26 $ even if it was with tax it would not have been this price so not sure what the extra was for as she did nothing. I’m used to my nail place close to home and will be sticking to it. There was another place called glitter nails across the street next time I’ll try this one. Save your money go elsewhere.

I normally get my nails done in midtown since I haven’t yet found a place in Morningside Heights that is remotely decent. I am all for a no-frills, cheap manicure. I usually go to your standard $ 10 mani place so my expectations are not high, and after reading all of the great reviews, I figured this would be my new go-to spot. I came in on Easter Sunday. As expected, the place was dead. There were 5 employees sitting around and chatting and you would think that my nail tech would be able to give her full attention to my nails, but that was not the case. She was distracted and kept making mistakes that I had to ask her to fix. Two of my nails had small chips the next day. By Thursday, all nails were chipped and looked SERIOUSLY bad. Unfortunately I will not be coming back here.

I’ve lived on the UWS for the past 9 years and this is my favorite nail salon. I’ve been pleased with every manicure I’ve gotten. The manicures are precise and last at least a week. The women working at the salon are friendly and patient if you decide that you don’t like the nail polish color. It’s rare to find a salon that has a warm and friendly environment like Lady-Q. And you really can’t beat the $ 9 price for a manicure(which includes a quick shoulder massage). Highly recommend.

Amazing service, friendly and quick. One of the best manicures I’ve ever gotten and so reasonably priced. A good find for sure.

I come here for the gel/shellac manicures and pedicures. Although, I can’t comment on their other services or the cleanliness of their bathroom, I plan on returning. I have been here and had both amazing and middle of the road experiences. The last time I went the woman was very limited in her English, was rushing until I asked her to slow down and nicked me while cutting the cuticles of two fingernails. She tried to continue through the service hoping I would not comment on it. Her tip suffered. The manager took over for her and I could not have been more pleased. The first time I came here, I had a awesome service which is the reason I returned. I deliberately waited prior to write a review to ensure that the quality of work would hold up. Alas during day 3, after my last visit, one of my shellac nails chipped. It was twice as bad because apparently I was the first to use the color I chose. So combine the chipped shellac and my nipped skin and I certainly cannot make this place my go-to. It can be used in a pinch and is never that crowded to expect a long wait.

Terrible service, staff is rude. I asked the lady to be a little gentler while removing in grown nails and her response was«if you want me to cut it, it’s going to hurt.» That’s not the way to treat a customer. Very poor practice.

I give 3 star because I went 2 times and both time with different ladies did my manicure just fine. The firs time was regular full-color nail. The second time was more disappointed to the French manicure because she didn’t file my nails neatly. And the white line she drew was obviously tilted and in completed line corner to corner. However, the pedicure last long and great job from a different lady(short hair and a little big lady)

I needed a manicure and pedicure to go the TONY awards in early June. The staff were incredibly accommodating as I as running short on time. They went out of the their way to do the manicure while I was getting a spa pedicure, which included an excellent massage and was not as nearly as expensive as another salon a few blocks north. This salon has a super friendly atmosphere that I loved. It is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and I will definitely be back.

I wanted very desperately to love this place, but I visited first thing on a Sunday morning and they were packed and understaffed. The woman who did my manicure took no more 10 minutes with me. Usually, I’m all about a quick mani, but there’s only so much filing, buffing, and cuticle cutting you can actually accomplish in a few minutes. I can do a better manicure myself at home for free and take my time. Not to mention how it started chipping 12 hours later. My other cons: $ 20 credit card minimum and tips in cash only. Pros: great color selection.

Lovely people. Beautiful pedi! With the best leg massage! Sat under the drier for my toes and I got a wonderful shoulder massage! The place is clean, the chairs are awesome! Great place!!! Great people!!! I’m new to NYC and used Unilocal to help me find places I go. Unilocal helped me find Lady Q.

Under new management. This place has really improved from the old establishment. Clean, bright, friendly, and a great selection of colors. Ting Ting the manager is very kind and is the best at doing manicures. It’s cheap and quick. If you are looking for a fancy salon/spa, this is not it. However, if you are looking for an inexpensive good mani/pedi this is a solid place.

New to the area and near my place so I decided to check it out. Gel manicure and pedicure. Rushed and not relaxing. The gel manicure wore off faster than any I’ve had. It even chipped which I’ve never seen before. The only positive was the color selection. Will not be returning which is a shame since it’s so close.

I was having brunch on the UWS and noticed this salon when I walked by. I decided to stop in and treat myself to some pampering. The pedicure lasted only 15 minutes. There was no massage. The woman applied lotion and did not even rub it in all the way. I can do a better job on my own cuticles. The manicurist had slightly more attention to detail and was very pleasant, but I have never had a manicure where they do not even soak your hands. Everything is done dry, even pushing back the cuticles. The whole experience left me feeling like they cut corners. $ 24 is a mid-price for a mani-pedi, but they didn’t even achieve mediocrity. I live in Astoria and the nail salons there do a much better job.

I believe this place is under new management thus the name change(From Casablanca). New to the area, I was looking for a «go-to» nail salon. I was extremely pleased with my service, great polish selection, variety of magazines and level of detail Linda gave my toes and nails. I’ll be back for her to take care of me this summer. This is a NO frills place for a great quick mani/pedi. As a previous Unilocaler stated, this is not a SPA experience. This spot is your go to — bi-weekly mani/pedi spot — as you sip your coffee and check your social media accounts :-). If your in the area and you’re looking for a reasonably priced mani/pedi($ 23) then Lady-Q is for you.
