Dr. Lanre Dokun is an Ivy League educated physician who received his BA from Brown University and his MD from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Raised in New York City, he is dedicated to providing quality psychiatric care that is contextualized to the cultural and socioeconomic diversity of the city and which meets the unique needs of patient’s striving toward health in this environment. He provides psychotherapy and medication management. While specializing in the treatment of anxiety and depression, he also treats a wide variety of psychological disorders.

Business Owner

Prior to joining Park Avenue Doctors and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, he worked at the University of Pennsylvania, where he specialized in providing treatment for young adults desiring more meaningful personal relationships and researching the connections between HIV and mental illness.

Dr. Dokun was born in Nigeria but grew up in Queens, New York. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his family. He was named Teacher of the Year for The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and is a contributor to The Mount Sinai’s Experts Guide for Psychiatry.
