Larry is an amazing therapist and person. Everyone in the office is professional and will help you figure out your insurance.

This place is absolute amazing! I have been to many physical theraphy places but this one has topped it off. From how welcoming and caring the staff are to how good they do their work. I have never felt better than how I feel now. Everyone is super caring and always attentive to all of my needs. I recommend this place to everyone!

The fact is that one never wants or even expects to have an injury especially at a young age. However, Larry Shapiro and his team of expert PTs did a great job and within a few session my leg injury felt better. PT is not a miracle — you actually need to do your own stretching too at home or alter your movements until you’re fully healed.
PROS:
Larry and his team are nice, caring, and competent people. They will make you feel right at home. They are genuine and really care about the healing process.
I’ve had to reschedule or cancel many times — I never got a complaint or a slap on the wrist. They are flexible for all people and lifestyles.
CONS:
The space may be smaller than bigger practices you might have been to in the outer boroughs. Face it this is Manhattan! I feel that the space is cozy and accommodating.
BOTTOM LINE:
Make that call to Larry Shapiro’s office and have some peace of mind that you will be in good hands.

No matter how bad your injury, keep at it and stay positive.

Lost one star because the facilities are small and cramped (welcome to New York). But in a way that’s also what makes this place rock: No pretense, no BS, just focused, experienced therapy. These guys work hard with their patients and with the doctors and insurance companies like no PT provider I’ve seen (and I’ve worked with many). If you’re all about stats and charts and progress measurements and all the other stuff that ISN’T moving muscles, these guys aren’t for you. If you want a team of patient-​focused coaches who focus on service, patient mobility and pain relief over paperwork, these guys are for you. I live nearby, but if I moved to Brooklyn tomorrow, I’d still come back here for PT

I’ve been to many PT offices and Larry Shapiro is by far the best. His leadership is evident in all aspects of the business. His staff is professional, warm and friendly and made going back each time well worth it.
Larry was always happy to discuss my treatment plan and was sensitive to my doctors wishes and made sure I got the care I needed.
It was clear that everybody there was working to get me as healthy as possible as soon as possible and they were clearly not there to chase a quick buck. I eagerly recommend Larry and his team!
