Law Offices of John F. Lang offers New York Metro legal representation in estate litigation, trust litigation. probate litigation, Surrogate’s Court litigation, and disputes involving inheritance, powers of attorney, wills, executors, trustees, and beneficiaries.

We also handle commercial litigation and white collar crime defense matters, as well as provide a range of general corporate, corporate securities, and corporate finance services. We troubleshoot problems for businesses, professionals, executives, and high net-​worth individuals through strategic counseling, assistance with negotiations, supervision of investigations, representation before government agencies, and trial advocacy.

We strive to offer large-​firm quality, small-​firm attentiveness, and cost-​conscious representation. We invite litigation and transactional engagements from throughout the United States and overseas. We are pleased to serve as local counsel, coordinating counsel, or in a consulting capacity.

History

Established in 2010.

After a career in public service as a prosecutor and in private practice as a litigation partner in two large law firms, John Lang founded this law firm. He brought with him decades of litigation experience, including trying dozens of civil and criminal cases to verdict before state and federal juries. His goal was to establish a law firm where individual clients would benefit from both strong, determined courtroom advocacy as well as a concierge level of service, availability, and attentiveness.

John was joined in this quest by of counsel attorneys Danielle Yatrakis and Pamela Corey, both of whom share his vision of litigation representation that is both strong and client-​centered. More recently, senior corporate attorney Craig Wolson and litigation associate attorney Angelica Kontoroff joined this team, giving the firm the capability to handle larger more complex cases.

In 2012, the firm became part of Haute Living Magazine’s exclusive invitation-​only Haute Lawyer Network.

Following overseas service with the U. S. Marines, John Lang served as a senior frauds prosecutor with the N.Y. District Attorney’s Office and as a senior official corruption prosecutor with the N.Y.S. Attorney General’s Office.

A career in private practice led him to an 18 year partnership in the national law firm of Loeb & Loeb LLP, where his litigation work earned a «N.Y. Metro Super Lawyer» rating from Thomson-​Reuters.

John Lang then founded Law Offices of John F., Lang, where, in 2012, his work was recognized by Martindale-​Hubbell with an «AV Preeminent Rating» and by Avvo with a «Superb» rating. John is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America trial lawyer honorary society and was named a N.Y. «Top 100 Trust and Estate Lawyer» for 2012 by the American Society of Legal Advocates. Mr. Lang is listed in the Worldwide Who’s Who Registry for Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs and was selected for the Haute Lawyer Network N.Y. Trust and Estate Litigator listing.
