Lezama’s Catering

I heard about the pop up dinner Lezama´s Catering was hosting for Valentine’s day through some friends and we all decided to go as a big group!
I have to say that it was AMAZING! One of the best dinner experiences that I have had in the city so far, each plate was a surprise and very original. It was a very long menu and every course was accompanied with a different wine so to keep it short… favorites, the Gin fizz to begin with is a mix of cold and warm gin and lemon cocktail that makes you laugh so tasty and original, the trufle Spanish tortilla. mmmmmm one of my favorites, I’m Spanish and very demanding with tortilla, it was delicious and yet again so originally presented (inside an eggshell!) we also had Langoustine Ravioli, I would have had many many more… and the stuffed squids are a must of the must!
All in all what I found great about Lezama’s popup dinner, is that is not only about eating very well, it’s a whole experience, how the plates are presented, the story behind each plate, originality, mixture of textures and flavors! Loved it, highly recommend it to surprise anyone or to be the best host of the city!

We had an amazing time at a cooking class offered by Leti! The food was amazing and it seemed like the drinks were never ending. It was the perfect, private adult birthday party! I would recommend everyone taking a class, you won’t regret it!

My birthday was coming up and I was looking for a cool way to celebrate my bday. I didn’t want to do something cliché like the fancy restaurant, the rowdy bar, the douchebag club, the house party, etc… so I decided to do a cooking class with Leti and I’m so glad I did!
First let me say how easy it was to plan and organize b/​c I didn’t do much. All I did was pick a menu and give Leti the emails of the attendees and she took it from there. (side note: I don’t like fish and Leti was able to accommodate me since I wanted chicken paella).
What else can I say, the food was great. I learned how to cook some dishes and had a great birthday! You can check out photos on her facebook page.

Leti’s cooking is amazing! I had the pleasure of trying some of Leti’s delicious spanish food as part of a food photography course offered by PhotoUno. It was a four hour long food photography class featuring Leti’s Catering.
When I arrived Leti and Nacho were in the back preparing all sorts of goodies for us to photograph. She prepared some sort of spanish salad, tortilla — which is like a potato cake, gazpacho, tomato and cheese skewers, tuna tartare, a paella, and an assortment of desserts ranging from mini fruit tarts to merengues. The dishes may seem simple, but she uses quality ingredients, which makes a huge difference.
I remember sitting through the class and couldn’t help but turning around and salivating at the thought of when we can actually consume the food. With the aromas that have filled the small room, I am sure it was hard for everyone else to concentrate on the lecturer.
After two hours of the photography class, which seemed even longer with all the food staring at you, the instructor finally stopped talking so that we can practice. A sigh of relieve ensued, the though of being closer to the food lifted our spirits. Practice session ended and we were back at our seats. What? We don’t get to EAT yet? Sadness dawned upon us once again as we went back to listen to the instructor. Another two hours pass, by now I was so hungry that I was no longer hungry. Another practice session to incorporate the new techniques we just learned. After everyone got in their last shots, it was PARTY time!
We ended up having an intimate dinner party with more food than we can consume. Leti had everything you can possibly need for an event. We started off seeing and photographing the dishes as a whole, then saw them wonderfully presented to us on the table with garnishes.
Many of the tapas and spanish places in the city are disappointing. I am pretty sure most of those chefs preparing your food have never tasted real spanish food before, but I’ve been to Spain and Leti’s is the real thing!
