I came here for primary care for the last year or so, and even though the doctor I saw and the nurses were all very good – I was forced to find a new provider because of the complete nightmare that was the administrative component. Days upon days upon days of unreturned phone calls, staff that never even bothered to pass on my messages to the managers/physicians, and improperly coded services that resulted in my being charged for something I shouldn’t have. I also called to inquire about a specific type of test a few months back, to see if they performed it, and instead of admitting that she obviously didn’t know what I was asking about and perhaps passing me to someone who would(like a doctor…), the person I spoke to just outright lied and said that such a test doesn’t exist. The absolute last straw was when I showed up for an annual appointment and was told that my doctor doesn’t take my new health insurance… when she in fact DOES accept it, and was listed on my insurance’s website as doing so. A few minutes of looking into it would probably have uncovered this, and I could’ve had my appointment. As is, I had to leave(after taking the time off work to get all the way to the offices). This is when I promptly looked for a new clinic(found an fantastic one with MUCH better services!), and I will never have to go back to this headache of a place… I spent months trying to be patient, but as someone who has worked in one of the busiest hospitals in the country, I know it should NEVER be this difficult for the patient. There is really no excuse.
