I had a 3pm order to get printed same day and Jordan was on top of it. This is the first time I’ve used them, and the service was amazing and the product came out much better than I had expected.
The only negative thing about my experience was that because it was short notice, I didn’t catch that I used true black in one section, but not another. It’s definitely my mistake, but I would have loved if they caught this for me before printing the order. I’m more mad at myself than anything else though, and even with the two different shades, it still looks great.
I would definitely use them again.

I had my wedding invitations printed here. The price is reasonable and the quality of the work is awesome. I will be going back to make more copies for the wedding and will also recommend them to my friends who are getting married next year and planing to have their invitation printed.

This place is fast and reasonably priced (though still delivered our rush job a day late). The printing quality is fine though I can’t say the same about the other aspects. Service was not great and the staff had a very snotty attitude — basically he was acting like he was the expert though he couldn’t print the way we wanted (we were printing double-​sided and the two sides need to align; there was an obvious shift but he couldn’t fix it and would let us step in). Also, when the staff cut the finished products into our desired size, he did a shoddy job as well. My advice — if you just have something simple to print, this place is sufficient and ok, but if you have something more complicated, please go to a more «professional» place because otherwise all you get is amateurish products and bad attitude.

I defently recomend everybody to do business with them, they are extremely professional, Jordan was willing to fulfill my requirements to addressing my wedding invitation. The work was done in couple of hours.

Getting my wedding invitation addressed at Lightning Copy Center was such a pleasant experience. I am overwhelmed with work and wedding planning but this place helped me get what I needed to get done, done. I am recommending them to everyone I know who need their services.
Jordan who took my order understood exactly what I wanted to be done with my envelops. I explained it once and he got it. We communicated via e-​mail often and he responded promptly.
As mentioned before, the appearance of the center can scare you when you come in but do not let this affect your opinion on their work. They are good at what they do.
My only issue was the bill. I would have loved to be clear on the price per envelops. The prices are good but as an accountant, I would have loved to know exactly what each envelop cost to address. They should break down their bill a tiny bit more.
Overall, I am a happy costumer.

Horrible attitude by the one staff member working on the far left computer. The manager was nice enough to apologize for a mistake he had made. There was some miscommunication and I ended up printing 1 page the wrong way, so I told him it wasn’t the way I wanted it, so he insisted on telling me that I told him to print the page like that and I was wrong. When I asked him to print it a different way he was whispering to himself how now he had to «do it all over again» and just murmuring things under his breath. I would not recommend them to anyone just because of that one employee’s attitude. PS I offered to pay the 5 dollar minimum for the one page but once I saw his attitude I walked out.

When you first walk into the copy center, it’s a little overwhelming. Small space with boxes everywhere. Literally, in order for one of the workers to pass me by, he had to remove boxes out of the space. It seems disorganized but it looks like they’ve got organized chaos going on. Normally, that would make me extremely nervous but my fellow Unilocalers, you gave them good reviews, so I gave ‘em a shot! And I’m glad I did.
I needed wedding invites printed out as soon as possible. I had the image all ready to go and worked with Jordan. Jordan is great. I first called them to get a price quote and he was patient, friendly, and answered all of my questions. I ended up visiting in person, unannounced, with my invite paper (they didn’t have it at their store (Opal) but said that I could bring it in and they’d print on it – cost is cheaper that way!), and while they were very busy, Jordan was still very personable and took my order down.
I was there around 11:30am and got an email around 5pm, THE SAME DAY, stating that it was ready. Really awesome! I couldn’t actually make it to the print shop until the next day but I was pretty impressed on how quickly my order was completed. Total cost was around $ 54 for us (140 in total — 70 printed invites & 70 RSVPs + trimming — but again, we brought our own paper, and emailed him the file to view).
While Jordan didn’t necessarily recognize me the next day, I am not going to hold that against him. They are clearly a busy copy center and I think they work hard! So, I really give them a great score for their effort and maintaining a great business in the chaos of the papers amongst papers amongst papers!
The copy shop is located in a really nice building too. Just walk straight through and make a right! If you have any questions on where to go, just ask the friendly security guy with a big ol’ smile! :)

Professional and good quality, good pricing.

I went to Gregg on Dec 23^rd to have an over sized art print done (12×12− just outside normal printing size) and they were great. Got it done in 30 min. Even with resizing. Gregg was super helpful. I would absolutely recommend them.

I went there to get some business inserts for the holiday cards. I went early on a weds and Greg said that they would be done later that day. I came not ready. He said they will be ready tommorow. I go back the next day and next day and not ready. I had to have them mailed out by Friday at 400 but when I went he said 430 so didn’t get them until Monday. When i got them they were nice but not worth all the hassle.

I just wanted to thank the Gary and the guys at Lightning Copy for helping out with Christmas envelopes this year. We called them in the afternoon of the day before Thanksgiving to ask for very unique and specific printing need, and they assessed our situation (urgent need for duplicating a unique font that we did not know the name of, and printing return addressed on the back flap of time-​sensitive Holiday envelopes, within one day) professionally. We were told the order could be completed within the day, as a «super rush» and were called back 3 hours later to pick up. Even with the extremely urgent nature, the job was done properly and very much to our standards. Neither Kinkos, nor Fedex were able to print in this fashion… and we were impressed that Gary and his team could handle the specific nature of our request with such a quick turnaround on a busy afternoon before a major holiday. I am extremely impressed with the service I recently received from Lighting Copy Center! My fiancé and I used them to print out the envelopes for our wedding invitations. I was not sure if I wanted to use a printer but decided to after reading other reviews posted on Unilocal.The small amount of money we paid was worth it. Jordan worked with me to find a font to match our return address that was pre-​printed on the envelopes. The turn-​around time was impressive. Jordan was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!

This copy center printed out my wedding invitations and the response cards. Excellent service. All I had to do is email Jordan my jpeg files and he did the rest. My wedding invitations and response cards came out beautifully. They work fast and for a very reasonable price. Dealing with Jordan was so easy. He was responsive to all my questions and was beyond patient. I never felt stressed out in my dealings with him. I recommend their services to all.

What can I say? Top notch service… Charles was very helpful. Good prices. They did a 300 copy job for me in 5 minutes. That is lightning fast!

I came here because of their 4-​star rating. But I was disappointed by their average service and below average attitude. BTW, $ 5 minimum on all printouts from USB or email — not a good choice for those who only have several pages to print.

These guys.. . Lemme tell ya, they came through when no one else would, and I mean NO ONE. They saved me a bunch of money and relieved a BIG stress from my mind.
What we needed: Wedding invites and RSVPs printed on 5×7″ and 3.5×4.875″ linen paper purchased online
I called around ten to fifteen places all around Manhattan (big guys and small), who all refused to print on our paper, either because the texture was too rough, or because the paper was too small, or were willing to print on it for exorbitant amounts of money (over $ 100 for 100 sheets!). We had given up hope, and had even trudged to Staples to buy their linen paper and get the invitations printed on it, but backed out because Staples didn’t have any envelopes to match their paper. As a last-​ditch effort, I called Lightning Copy and went over with my paper in hand. Jordan didn’t even bat an eye. He happily printed everything I wanted on our paper! Not only that, my order was fulfilled from start to finish in about four hours! They couldn’t print on the RSVP paper because it was too small, but Jordan managed to fit two RSVPs on the 5×7 paper and then cut it down for us to the exact size we needed.
They came through for us big time, when we were pretttttttttty frustrated and irritated at every print shop in NYC (and ourselves, for buying pre-​cut paper). I have a few friends getting married this year, so Jordan, be ready for more orders. :)
A word of advice for anyone looking to get invitations printed on your own paper: DO NOT BUY PRE-​CUT PAPER! BUY LETTER-​SIZED SHEETS AND GET IT CUT AFTER PRINTING! You’ll save money by printing multiple invites on a single sheet, and almost every print place will happily print on your paper for you! We learned this the hard way. :-/

After hearing so many great things about Lightning on Unilocal,I decided to give it a try. I had a job interview in Gramercy at 10, so I made a pit stop at this copy center on my way, with over half an hour remaining to get to the interview.
I walked in and Greg was sitting at his desk, behind a partition… completely out of view, but I could hear him speaking on the phone. No problem. I waited until he was done speaking to his phone customer before saying anything. When I told him I just needed to print a copy of my resume from my email account, he informed me that he didn’t have a public computer and I would have to forward it to him in an email. Inconvenient, but understandable.
However, my resume was saved as a Google Document AND my phone wasn’t getting service inside the shop, which was strange… because it was on the ground floor. I attempted to tell him this and was met by the partition. He answered the phone despite the fact that I was looking to him for help, and when he talked on and on for five minutes (with me politely giving him looks and signs that I needed help), I gave up. He clearly didn’t give a crap, even though I had been at the store long before this new customer called. After being totally ignored for five minutes, I knew I would be late for my interview if I stayed. I had to go to the interview without a copy of my resume, which was clearly asked for by my prospective boss.
DO NOT go to this place! And if you do, make sure you know that Greg will do his best to make you feel ignored and unwanted and stupid.

Wow, did I go to the wrong place? Talk about employees who don’t give a sh*t.
I went to this place because of the great reviews and was treated extremely poorly by Jordan, whom I’m assuming is a manager?
Endured a painstaking process on getting invitations printed which took way more effort on my part than necessary — looking at me like I was asking for his first born child when I requested to see a few examples on different stock before making my final purchase.
I sent him print-​ready files, and confirmed pick up times, which he never seemed to adhere to. When I get there to pick up the invites at the confirmed time, he asks me to come back a half an hour later. Fine. So when I return, he doesn’t even start cutting until I get there, and does the job in a total rush.
Needless to say all of the borders on the invitations were crooked. I guess that happens when you try to cut 40 all at once. When I pointed this out, he gave me attitude and actually raised his voice saying «FINE I’LL DO THEM AGAIN».
Completely unacceptable treatment and attitude, these people don’t have anything close to a market share on the printing business in NYC, so I’d suggest some customer service. The invites turned out fine, but this assh*le snapping at me for something he messed up, is reason enough for me deciding not to return.
