Linda Burchett – State Farm Insurance Agent

I cannot get this office to respond to my emails or figure out how to cover my property. I can’t speak on the phone with them, because they keep making major mistakes — I need everything in writing from them… but they refuse to write.
I’ve been trying to add brand new photo equipment to my policy, and they tell me it’s already covered… which is impossible, and I am baffled at their confusion because I sent them an itemized list with item names, serial numbers, purchase dates and amounts and receipts. I asked them to send me the list of what they have covered for me so I can see what they’re looking at. They have been unable to or refused to do this.
They’re SUPER sloppy — even telling me they haven’t received emails I have records of. Linda responded with her email address pretty quickly when I Tweeted at her asking for it, then proceeded to hand me off immediately to her office staff without even the courtesy of a reply to my email. If they can’t even get a short list of items covered for me, and figure out how to use their email, I hate to think what a claims process would be like with them.

Moved here from Georgia. Met with an agent. She was very knowledgable, friendly and patient (with all my questions.) Even helped me save money!!(NY is expensive!!) Would have given five stars but the address on the web listed Cathedral Pkwy but they are actually on Fredrick Douglas Blvd and 110^th st.

I called for an estimate and decided not to sign up for a plan. No matter, they «accidentally» signed me up for a policy anyway! Three months later, I get a bill for a policy I never signed up for and had no idea even existed. Just spent 20 minutes of my own time calling back and forth to straighten the whole thing out. Not cool. My advice: stay far, far away. Even calling for a quote gets you a policy, whether you want one or not.
