Little Sisters of the Assumption Family Health Svc

As a Catholic I am saddened to write this review. What is SUPPOSED to be a benevolent Catholic organization, is in actuality a malevolent left wing special interest group that seeks to destroy local business, esp. The real estate business.
They have been a blight on small building owners for years, ever since I entered the business on 2004 I have had encounters with countless owners who have been harassed by this group. They have stirred feelings of distrust, and have fostered antagonistic relationships between landlords and tenants.
It is a socialistic group that has no respect for private property or business.
The diocese should disband them.

After becoming more involved with LSA over the past year or so, I’ve come to learn that this is truly an amazing organization. They’re a community-​based nonprofit that has served East Harlem for over 50 years.
I am involved with LSA through their New Friends committee, which aims to raise money for their summer trips program, but I’ve also had the opportunity to meet many of the children serviced by the organization, and I can honestly say that have a large positive impact on the community.
They take a multipronged approach to assisting the community, and, as listed on their website, offer visiting nurse care; therapy for children at risk for developmental delays; adult basic education and English language classes; after-​school tutoring; family support services that keep children safe and out of foster care; summer trips that get families out of the city for one-​day vacations; and food from our pantry.
All told, I can’t say enough positive things about them. If you have the opportunity to support them, be it through their fundraising or volunteer events, I absolute recommend that you take action.
