Business Owner

Dr. Lee, originally from Chicago, received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Tufts University and his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Lee then completed his General Practice residency at New York Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medical Center, and Memorial Sloan-​Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Lee had written for and presented at the International Association for Dental Research and was honored by the American Association of Oral Biologists during his predoctoral training.

Dr. Min Jung Kim graduated with honors from Tufts University where she received both her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and her Doctorate in Dental Medicine through a seven-​year combined degree program. She then completed her post-​graduate training at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and received her Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. Dr. Kim is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

I cannot stress enough on how clean, professional and along with excellent dental work this facility is. I’m a ball of nerves on any dental place that I go to but then again who isn’t? LK Advanced put me at ease from the moment I walk into the office from the time I step out of the chair. Dr. Lee is not only pleasant but is very committed on leaving his mark with excellent results. I highly recommend this place to all that wants great results.

Remember that terrible show called The Pick Up Artist that introduced the term negging to the world? My experience at LK was like that. They just negged me about every aspect of my teeth. I had just been to the dentist about six months before and everything was fine but according to LK, I was the worst. I think they were doing it as a sales technique. Maybe I would feel so bad I would buy more services? In the words of Cher Horowitz, «As if!».

I’m sure we’ve all had at least one painful or terrifying dental visit in our lives. My past dentist had me thinking that dentistry is both barbaric and savage.
Moving on to LK: I can only speak for Dr. Lee– never met Dr. Kim– but I’ve been to LK Advanced Dentistry twice and now I know that the dentist can be fun, informative, personable, and most importantly PAIN-​FREE!
My first visit was before I was on my employer’s dental plan. Since my old dentist had a tendency to be rough during cleanings, and didn’t seem to care that I was a feeling person on the other end of those sharp instruments, I was on the hunt for a new one. I purchased a $ 49 Groupon for a cleaning and X-​ray and was blessed with Dr. Lee. At the end of my visit I was clean and happy, incurred no additional or hidden fees, and for the first time in my life I saw no blood during my cleaning. I’d say we’re doing well thus far.
It was the least painful, most carefree time I’ve ever had in a dentist’s chair. On top of that, the dental assistant/​hygienist was extremely nice and so is the receptionist. Dr. Lee will inform you of every single thing he is doing while he’s working. He will also remind you to raise your left, should you feel any discomfort and he will stop and adjust. I’ve never, ever had this kind of experience with a butcher… I mean dentist.
Did I mention he’s also pretty cute? :) But seriously, he will tell you what’s going on with your teeth and how to treat them better. He’s now my regular dentist and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Say goodbye to anything bad about your horrific past with tooth doctors, and make an appointment with Dr. Lee.
He’s thorough, has a laid back personality and will answer any and all questions you have. 5 stars for the nice lounge area, spacious bathroom, attentive staff and all-​star dentist. See you soon!
Bonus: the canvas hygiene bag they give here is cuter and more stylish than any other I’ve seen.

very clean and bright, friendly staff. i found this place through groupon. I made the appointment for 11am, I didn’t see Dr Kim until after 1. he was very late. he gets there does a quick exam then tells me if I put a deposit down to see the other dr then they can start the work and give me more information. I can tell this is the kind of place that will tell you the work cost $ 1100 and they will keep finding more stuff to do n in the end you’ll pay over $ 5000 after a yr

Nice and professional dentist.
Dr. Kim performs the cleaning, not a hygienist like at some other dentist offices. It was a decent cleaning but not as comprehensive as I have had at other dentists (there a bit of buildup remaining afterward). No dental floss was used. There was also not an in depth analysis of every tooth like some other dentists perform (where they note things like wear, gum recession, plaque buildup for every tooth and write this down, and give you an analysis).
Overall a calm experience, not the typical American dentist experience with lots of dental product ads everywhere and where you walk out with a goodie bag of products.

Dr. Lee is super intelligent, caring, and personable. My husband and I both go here during his Saturday office hours.
I was very impressed at the level of service, and not to mention, the office is very clean, modern, and essentially ZERO wait time. He even looked over our dental insurance himself to make sure that we wouldn’t be stuck with any unexpected bills, so that made me feel that he was an honest businessman, as well!
My husband needed some dental work done and Dr. Lee showed him everything on a video and also gave him a print out of detailed information on what he needed to get done, and in order of priority!
I would definitely recommend Dr. Lee!

I bought a Living Social deal which included xrays, cleaning and a check up all for about $ 50 and I have to say that the experience at LK Advanced Dentistry was top-​notch.
The clinic is beautiful, spotless, warm and inviting. From the front desk staff, to the dental assistant to Dr Lee himself, the whole experience was really great– definitely one of the best dentists I have ever been too.
Even though I bought an online deal, Dr Lee was extremely thorough, answered all my questions, was patient and kind, and did not try to hard sell anything at all. My teeth have never felt as clean as they do today! I will definitely be returning and referring all my friends to this dental clinic.

Truly high levels of service, explained every action done, Dr. Lee has a very soft spoken gentle tone, gave extra post-​braces cleaning above & beyond standard cleaning, discussed related gum health & over-​brushing & many educational things to aide my dental health. Indeed the electronic not air-​driven drills rotate perfectly smoothly making for a far far gentler nicer experience. The office is immaculately clean with seemingly all brand new x-​rays (digital kind), digital x-​rays show on the tv for you & dentist to examine, the dentistry aids are also very professional & nice, billing & patient intake are quick, everything is perfect about this dentistry experience, rare given so many lackluster dentists out there, highly highly recommended.

Was looking for a new dentist and found out about this location from a Groupon for a cleaning, exam, and x-​rays. The reviews were promising, and the office is conveniently located right near Columbus Circle, so I gave it a try.
I am absolutely pleased with my experience. The office is very clean, modern, and easy to locate. I was able to get an appointment on a Saturday on fairly short notice, and the receptionist was helpful on the phone (the receptionist wasn’t in the day of my appointment so I did not interact with her in person). They have an online booking process (which I didn’t use) and they send appointment reminders via email as well.
My dentist was Dr. Lee and all of these 5-​star reviews are spot on — it’s hard to overstate how impressive he was, in every aspect. He is personable, in a genuine kind of way. He said he was from the mid-​west originally, which I’m sure helps explain his welcoming, calming demeanor. He was also very attentive and knowledgeable, and explained his spot-​on observations in a thorough yet concise manner. He just comes across as a dental provider who really knows his stuff and honestly wants to make your dental visit as comfortable as it possibly can be.
I was prepared for the usual attempt to up-​sell me on something, which tends to happen when you use coupon-​type deals, but there was none, which was SO refreshing. Had they tried to do that, I wouldn’t go back. But because my experience here was so overwhelmingly positive and comfortable, I will most certainly be going back, and will trust what he recommends (if anything) in the future. HIGHLY recommend this dentist to anyone.

LK Advanced Dentistry is amazing! The location is perfectly located right at the 1 train in Columbus Circle. The dental office is very clean. My dentist that did my cleaning and fillings was Dr. Kim. She is very relaxed, knowledgeable, attentive and professional! She is also very personable!

I originally came to this office after purchasing a LivingSocial deal for an exam/​x-​rays/​cleaning. I normally have my dental work done while I’m in a different country, because I don’t currently have dental insurance and it’s usually prohibitively expensive, so I’m always leery of trying a new dentist here because of their tendency to try to up-​sell you into other procedures than what you’re there for. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience than the one I received here, though!
Dr. Lee is amazing! I couldn’t be more impressed with how kind, professional, and patient he was when explaining the issues he found during a dental cleaning, and how much he put me at ease throughout the entire procedure. I’ve definitely found a new dentist!

I originally came across LK Advanced Dentistry on Living Social, as I was looking for a deal for X-​rays/​cleaning/​exam since my dental insurance for my new job doesn’t kick in until March.
The online booking appointment process is great, and getting a Saturday appointment was really easy. The office itself is very pretty and clean, and the receptionists are helpful and welcoming. The exam rooms have big TV screens so you can easily see your x-​rays and better understand what the dentist is talking about. The rooms also play relaxing (but good) music.
I saw Dr. Lee for my exam, cleaning, and subsequent filling. I honestly cannot speak more highly of him. He’s very personable, definitely knows what he’s doing, and does it well. He makes going to the dentist SO much easier. I was told by others that fillings don’t typically fit on that well, or that the filling would change my bite. The filling Dr. Lee put in is perfect. The shape feels exactly like the part of the tooth that was there.
I really hope LK ends up being in my network once my dental insurance kicks in.

Very central location off of Columbus Circle with clean office and modern, new equipment.
The attending dentist, Dr. Lee, was very personable, professional and performed a thorough exam and pain-​free cleaning. He walked me through the proper flossing technique (many of us laypersons do get it wrong) and offered advice on how I could improve my smile through a cosmetic procedure. I feel as though there was some obligation to up-​sell me since my visit was covered by a Groupon but I didn’t feel overwhelming pressure to make a decision right there and then as is often the case when great professional services are offered at a deep discount.
The only issue preventing me from giving a 4 or 5 star rating was the receptionist/​dental assistant who was not very receptive, somewhat curt and appeared as though she didn’t quite want to be there. Could be she had an off day but the interaction was a little off-​putting as this is the first/​last person you encounter on an office visit.
Still overall an A-​OK experience.

Since moving to NYC about 2 yrs ago this was the first time I needed a dentist (is that bad??). I came across the office website through my research and decided to take the risk of trying a new dentist since the receptionist who answered my call was super friendly (I have had my fair share of rude medical office staffers, what is with these people.)
First off, whoever was the interior designer of this place. Bravo. And might I add the exam chairs… some of the softest leather I have sat upon.
I met w Dr. Lee. I went in for a cleaning and had an old filling replaced. No complaints. He was fast and efficient. During the visit I mentioned that one tooth had been giving me some pain and after determining it wasn’t a cavity he explained it was possibly due to the fact I grind my teeth and suggested I get fitted for a mouth guard to wear while I sleep. I didn’t have time for it then but they were able to schedule me for that Sat.
When I came in for my mouth guard fitting I met the other half of LK. Dr. Kim. She was super sweet. Didn’t take much time. I was pretty much in and out and had my mouth guard that same day. And I can happily report my tooth doesn’t give me trouble anymore.

I was referred to LK Dentistry through coworkers and I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Kim’s service. I hate waiting for doctors, but she was ready for me.
I had to get some fillings done as they’re over 10 years old. Office is super clean and you get to watch movies or tv shows of your choice while you get work done on your teeth!
Quick in and out, then you’ll be on your way to Bouchon Bakery which is across the street for more cavities!
