Meet the Business Owner

Yukako S.

Business Owner

Yukako, a certified instructor of SAORI weaving and the founder of Loop of the Loom was not a craft person nor an artisan. She was looking for something to create her own style by using colors and touching with hands, after she worked as a graphic designer for 15 years in Japan and New York.

In 2001 Yukako became a SAORI instructor and decided to open a weaving studio, Loop of the Loom where everyone can express own style in weaving.

She had many workshops and lectures in the US and West Africa as well as coaching apprentices.
