Our dental practice grew out of Dr. Flamer-Caldera’s desire to utilize her unique skills in a manner that only a private practice setting can offer. Here she is able to schedule sufficient time to develop a more complete sense of patients’ aesthetic wishes, lifestyles, and health challenges as they connect to treatment choices. Her awareness and understanding of multiple forms of alternative healthcare puts patients at ease and they know they are in a place where questions are welcomed and always answered.

Patient-​based referrals continue to be the primary form of practice growth. This is a testament to Dr. Flamer-Caldera’s reputation of trust and clear communication with her patients.

Even the practice’s location near multiple mass transit lines and parking garages as well as the wheelchair accessible treatment rooms reflect the doctor’s desire for patient ease and comfort.

For over 20 years Dr. Flamer-​Caldera has fluidly united expertise in fine art, medical illustration, and teaching with extensive training in dental sciences in order to provide comprehensive diagnoses, appropriate options, technical excellence and outstanding aesthetics to her patients. The doctor is also committed to educating the public on prevention and wellness as well as treatment for oral conditions. She speaks on oral health and it’s connection to total health, including diabetes, pregnancy, nutrition and heart disease.

Everything everyone is saying about charges and billing happened to me. I’m not even going to recount in an effort to spare everyone the tedious details. In short, this place has a real problem. I don’t know if they’re confused, disorganized or trying to swindle me out of my money.
Going to the dentist is already a dreadful experience, why make it worse for yourself? There are SO many other dentists in this city.

i’m conflicted writing this review. on one hand, i really do like the dr’s personality and bedside manner. on the other, i feel cheated and scammed out of money. i first went to her close to 10 years ago when i lived in the area. what started out as a regular cleaning progressed into a gum lift. what she didn’t tell me was the upper part of my teeth would then show and look nasty (i was very young, hardly knew what i was doing). really the only solution was to get veneers. they were expensive as hell for me, but she did a great job and i still get compliments on them to this day. after that though, i feel like she thought of me as a cash cow. all these little charges would come up, such as not really needing to adjust my nightguard, but maybe smoothing out a little bump. that 2 minutes cost me $ 50. that was the last straw for me, i haven’t been back since. great cosmetic work, but make sure you know upfront exactly what everything costs and what you will be billed for. don’t take any bs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Flamer Caldera’s for over 10 years. She has seen me through some extremely difficult and rare dental issues, pain issues, and consults with specialists. I have tried other dentists in the interim and gotten second opinions, but there is no one else I would trust with my teeth.
The doctor is brilliant, well-​researched, and walks me through all my treatment options at each turn. Moreover, she is an amazing cosmetic/​aesthetic dentist; my teeth look amazing. I get compliments everywhere I go, and I always say the same thing: I owe it to my awesome dentist.
The office is small and unassuming, but I’ll never go anywhere else as long as I live within commutable distance.

Best dentist I have ever gone to, period. Friendly, professional and pain-​free without the machismo that I’ve experienced with other dentists. Went based on a referral from a friend who has also had a very positive experience. I have not had any of the billing issues described by other reviewers. The staff here are so friendly and open, I can’t imagine they wouldn’t help to address a problem. Highly recommended.

Seriously, this place needs to get it together.
Don’t swindle people out of money and charge ridiculous fees — new patient and emergency fees.
The receptionist knew they didn’t accept my insurance from the get-​go, but she conned me on getting serviced there.
There was NO EMERGENCY, I was not bleeding out of my mouth or anything — I could have waited and just went to my regular doctor.

Dr. Flamer-​Caldera is an exceptional DDS. I became a patient in 2006 and I have never had a problem with the service she and her staff have provided me.
I started seeing Dr. Flamer-​Caldera because I was suffering with a case of very bad gingivitis. Following the treatment plan outlined by Dr. Flamer-​Caldera, my gums went from purplish black to bright pink in a little over 6 months.
I would highly recommend her services.

Look, she’s a nice person and even a good dentist but she has a serious problem with her billing. I’d receive weird bills long after I’d paid in full and this last time she charged me because she made a «mistake.» It was not an insignificant amount either. Her assistant just called me and said to give my credit card number to fix something. Yeah, right. Take hundreds of dollars for an overbill. She’s fine if your willing to put up weird billing.

Is it sadistic to love your dentist? I sort of feel like the crazy guy from Little Shop of Horrors writing this, but Dr. Flamer-​Caldera is AMAZING.
Have you ever been to the dentist and had the DENTIST clean your teeth? I have. That’s because on my first visit she sat down next to that chair and started chipping away at 18 months worth of tartar. It had been a while. She was concerned that I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while, but was kind and practical about how to continue to keep a healthy mouth.
I went to Dr. Flamer-​Caldera on the recommendation of about 10 other (former) colleagues. She’s absolutely fabulous and actually listens to your concerns. I’ve had some teeth that were a little wonky and she noticed that I didn’t like them and actually asked whether I’d like them fixed — which I did but didn’t realize that was an option — and then we made an appointment for the following week and she performed a minor miracle in my mouth. I keep asking people «do you like my new tooth?» and they keep saying «which one?». That’s a good sign. She’s an artist.
Also, I’m into the as-​natural-​as-​possible dental care options and she is too. Makes for a nice fit.
In addition to this, she’s a delightful person who has a sense of humor and you can tell that dentistry is more than just a paycheck for her. it’s a passion. She’ll tell it like it is (e.g. FLOSS!), but she’ll say it with a smile and without condescending.
She also has a cast of delightful characters in reception and other assistants – and it’s been easy to make appointments.
Highly recommended.

Dentists have come along way since I was a kid!
Words can not express the amount of anxiety I experience with just the mention of the word dentist. That could be why I didn’t go for, um, 6 years (I do not recommend this form of dental care)
Becoming an adult forced me to attack things like student loans and 401K’s head on. This included my teeth.
Dr. Flamer-​Caldera and her staff are slowly redeeming the dentist occupation one cleaning at a time.
No dentist can distract from the sound of spinning metal scrapping teeth or ease the pain of 6 years of neglect but what she can not control she makes up for with a cheery disposition and welcoming smile.
I mean she hums while she works. You can’t get any more Disney than that and don’t we all want the Mouse himself to take care of our teeth?
Terri and Eddie are the perfect back up for Dr. Flamer-​Caldera! Their personalities are all different but blend to make the perfect dentist going experience.
I’ve gotten a tooth capped and am working on my fillings as of yesterday.
If you hate dentists and their taking new patients, I strongly encourage you to visit Dr. Flamer-​Caldera! You won’t be disappointed!
