I didn’t even get to see this physician. The receptionist told me that I had a $ 237.50 deductible which I had to pay up front. I questioned this seeing that Dr. Bronfin was in-network but since it was past 5 pm, customer service at Aetna was not available when she called. Then came the the authorization form to allow the office to charge any services that were not immediately reimbursed to my credit card. They wanted the expiration date and security code as well. I declined. The receptionist said she would call me tomorrow about the deductible which she never did. I called Aetna and confirmed that there was no deductible, just a co-pay. Don’t bother with Dr. Bronfin and her neurology enterprise; in fact, run like a deer from the referral. Go with Dr. Torres on the 4th floor; he really took his time with me and had a very pleasant disposition.

The doctor didn’t take as much time to listen to my concerns as I would have liked. She quickly prescribed me treatment(prescription and otherwise) without really listening to my concerns /questions /desires. I would have preferred her to consult me more, and to explain why she prescribed each thing she said. I have been dealing with chronic symptoms so a quick one-hour consult doesn’t help much. Apparently most people are just too busy in the city to make time for anyone… She said her office would call me back with preapproval for a followup procedure but I did not hear back. I went to see another neurologist, which didn’t go that well either, but I’m not giving up!
