History

Established in 2013.

Observing huge packs of confused, unhappy dogs being walked down city streets several times a day really upset me. Dogs of all sizes and energy levels, often in a tangled mess of leashes, dog walker paying very little attention to any of them, inspired me to explore the possibility that there must be a better way. Limiting the number of dogs and matching up similar sizes and energy levels is obtainable through creative scheduling.

Being an animal lover my entire life, taking care of pets for a living is a dream come true. Luxury Leash was created to enrich the lives of the pets in my care. Getting rich was never my motivation.

Safety is priority #1 and having fun is a close 2^nd. Your dog will return home happy, a little tired and looking forward to our next walk. I carry filtered water and emergency supplies on every walk. You will never need to worry about your pup while in my care, You can focus on your day and you will always receive a detailed update of our walk.

Business Owner

I come from a large family, all animal lovers. We always had cats and dogs, at one point we also lived on a farm with chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs, you name it. I’ve always been the «go to» when anyone needed help with their pet, trip to the vet, pet sitting, whatever. We also tended to take on the needy pets, the imperfect ones, the ones no one else wanted were welcome in our home.

As a young lady I loved the beach so always lived close, growing up in South Jersey. I worked in the Casino Industry while attending college, then worked in sales for 17 years. In 2013 I grew tired of being constantly judged by yesterdays bottom line, combined with my passion to help animals, I started Luxury Leash of Lower Manhattan. It’s been a wonderful, learning experience and I can’t help myself, I fall in love with all my furry clients. I’m also studying to become a certified dog and cat groomer so mobile grooming services coming soon.
