With few options in FiDi, this is my go to. The place is small and definitely feels cramped but it has what you need if you’re getting things last minute and the people are friendly. I don’t think the prices are actually much higher for hard alcohol than at most other liquor stores.

Friendly staff, decent prices for wine, liquor is expensive but when I called to make a delivery the guy almost wouldn’t deliver to me because I wasn’t 25 or older? Pretty strange rule… but I ended up getting my wine so I’m A-OK.

I was visiting a friend who lives in FiDi(Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen!(at least, that’s the reaction I imagine when people say FiDi)) the poor sap, and I realized I didn’t bring a housewarming gift. Stepped into the torture chamber(this place is tiny) and ponied up $ 20 for a bottle I’ve seen go for much lower… maybe I was the poor sap.

I’ve popped in here for last minute bottles while on my way to post-work soirees. Unfortunately, the customer service here is sub-par, the prices are sky-high. Not a winning combo. I’ve also seen quite a bit of dust on some of the bottles. I understand that some wines are supposed to age but this really isn’t the best way to showcase ones wares. I love to love a wine store, and it is nice to have options in the neighborhood, but I’m afraid this is no longer one of them.

Compared to the hotel mini bar, this place is a bargain! I got a bottle of Ravens Wood Vintners Blend Cabernet for about $ 14. I’m not sure how much it cost elsewhere, but I can tell you that half the wine will cost you $ 22 at the hotel. There was a good selection of hard liquor and wine. It’s a small place and the aisle is big enough for 1 person at a time. Luckily, I was one of 2 customers in there. There were 2 people working behind the counter, neither one spoke to me… which I prefer. Does that make me anti-social? Unfortunately, that’s not up for discussion. –Minimum $ 10 to use credit card

I totally disagree with the other reviewers. This place is horrible. Here’s why: 1. I was in the store for at least 4 minutes and neither of the two people working there acknowledged me or asked me for help. Now, this place is tiny, so there’s really no excuse at all. When I asked the lady for help, she looked at me like I was speaking a foreign dialect. She seemed more bothered than anything else. For being a mom-and-pop shop, I’d expect some friendliness and hospitality. For that, go elsewhere. When I asked questions about their wines, they seemed very uninformed. You own/run a wine shop, maybe you should know something about wine! 2. This place is freakin’ expensive! They have NO wines under $ 10. Expect to pay at least $ 15 for wine that you can find at other places for less than $ 10. Admittedly, this is located in/near the financial district/city hall area, but the neighborhood is far from posh and there are other, better options. My Unilocal Test: Would I go back? Answer: Never again, unless they make some serious changes.

I loved this place! It was totally like the scene in Moonstruck where Cher gets a split of bubbly from a tiny mom and pop shop where they were obviously«famiglia» and you just felt like this could be a place you would be welcomed back over and over again. More importantly, even though it was SO crowded, it being New Year’s Eve, they had cases laid out of Champagne, extra staff,(kids came in to help?) they still managed to be really friendly. AND…the prices were good. I was fully expecting to spend more. In fact it was cheaper than my favorite harlem wineries. Yay…happy new year to me!
