Jeanette K.

Business Owner

Jeanette Kim-​Lau, L.Ac. received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Herbology after attending the four-​year program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She is also a board-​certified herbalist. She has over 10 years of clinical experience treating a wide variety of issues ranging from pain management to infertility.

Hailing from a family of acupuncturists and herbalists, Jeanette continues the lineage of the study and practice of Traditional Oriental Medicine. She strongly believes in educating her patients about the interconnection of the body and mind, and teaches them the importance of a harmonious and well-​balanced lifestyle. Having a keen interest and rich knowledge in nutrition, she is an avid cook.

Jeanette is one of my favorite practitioners in Manhattan. She has helped me with many different ailments, including most notably, getting pregnant. She is supportive and knows exactly what ailments are without me needing to go into too much detail. I have seen acupuncturists before, before Jeanette is the only one who has helped. Her schedule does fill up (duh, she’s amazing!) so schedule ahead of time!

Jeanette is a serious professional with a broad background and thorough knowledge of chinese medicine. She has treated me for two different problems in the last 18 months and I’ve been really pleased with the relief she’s been able to offer me. I wish it weren’t so tough to fit into her schedule… She is busy because she’s GOOD! And the concept is great so the prices are reasonable!

I CANNOT say enough great things about Dr. Kim-​Lau. She has a beautiful demeanor which is great BUT having come into her office with a LAUNDRY list of medical issues, by my second treatment, I noticed a HUGE difference already! Her services are very affordable, and her assessments are fast, and touch gentle. Shes very open to educating her patients and will gladly email/​respond to inquiries. If I could give 6 stars I would!

The acupuncturist is very nice and seems knowledgeable. AND the price is reasonable.
I simply didn’t see much results unfortunately and had been to others acupuncturists as well.
I may consider going again for a longer period to see if it helps…
The worst thing here was that the rooms are so small that she had to keep moving me from side to side to get around the lounge chair i was in for the treatment.

I went to Dr. Kim-​Lau because I had frozen shoulder. After only three treatments it was completely gone and I haven’t had it again. Considering that most people are in treatment for at least a year for this condition, I’m happy that I got there early and got better so quickly. She really knows her stuff.
