Manhattan’s Physician Group

Things went downhill when my husbands healthcare fell short. I watched him decline slowly but surely. We had to call their facility everyday and demand to talk to competent clinicians to her the meds he needed. Very scary and won’t frequent this place ever again

Dr. Ware is a knowledgeable, caring, conscientious physician. I’ve been taking my kids to see her for years, continuing with her long after we moved away from Inwood. I can’t say enough good things about her.

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES…
I came to this office about a year ago for an annual physical exam. I ask for some routine blood work that WAS covered under my insurance AND the affordable health care act. The physician, Dr. Guerra, ordered that AND test that were NOT necessary. I didn’t realized this until I receive a $ 1000 bill in the mail from the lab. After countless attempts of trying to get in touch with the lab and the office, I contacted my insurance company and they told me that the OFFICE billed incorrectly!
I spent hours trying to get everything sorted out and each person I spoke with sent me to another extension until I was starting to speak with the same people again. They would NOT correct the chart and re bill the appropriate codes. I am now responsible for a bill that Manhattan Physician’s Group should take responsibility because their office and Doctors do not have employees who can correctly bill. This is unacceptable and I think that this practice should take responsibilities for their mistakes!!!

Aside from the doctor I met with being nice, not much else was good or commendable. First I had to wait for almost an hour to be seen even though I had an appointment. The nurse who I met with first answered the phone to have a conversation at one point as well. I had a strep test that had a 24 hour turn-​around time. I never got a call the next day with results.
By the day after that, I was feeling even worse and it was already 5 days that I’d had a high fever. I called the office around 10 am and let them know that not only hadn’t I gotten my strep results but I was feeling even worse. They told me they’d put a high priority message through to the doctor so she could call me back ASAP. I didn’t hear anything for hours, and when I finally did it was about 4pm– which is totally unacceptable. I even tried calling back a few times with no results.
The person who finally called me back was a nurse who clearly didn’t even read my chart, was extremely patronizing, told me to take cold and flu medicine (which by the way ended up making me puke for a day and a half) since I probably just have a «bad cold».
I’m no doctor but I’m pretty sure pain in my neck, chills, 102.5 fever for 5 days, difficulty breathing, and complete weakness does not point to a cold. When I told him that I currently had 101.9, the nurse told me, «Oh, that’s not even really a fever.»
After I stopped being able to keep any food down, I went to a doctor who actually knew what she was doing, and who diagnosed me with bronchitis-​NOT A COLD. I will absolutely never go back to this office. Not only were they disorganized, patronizing, and rude, but most importantly they gave me the wrong diagnosis and didn’t seem to care at all. I would avoid visiting this office at all costs if I were you.

I had one appointment as a new patient with Dr. Pinkhasova. It took two weeks to get an appointment and she was two hours late for our appointment. For much of my appointment she was taking phone calls, and was very dismissive of my questions. I’m still looking for a good PCP.

If I could give this place a –5 I would. I did not see any Dr. at this location, so therefore I can not comment on that (and after today I don’t want to either). However, I went to just draw blood, that’s it, just blood. Well I waited 40 mins. for a simple blood draw. After going up to the receptionist and asking when they would see me, another lady (that was roaming the hallways for the 40 mins that I was there) directed me to a nurse. When I entered the room the nurse was cursing and complaining about the facility and the lady that had just directed me to her office. On the brighter note (if there is one), she was quick and it wasn’t painful… yep never coming here again!

We had to come up here because our son’s regular doctor was on vacation. When we had to switch our primary physician I was dreading what would happen and expecting to switch back immediately after leaving.
We saw Dr. Priscilla Ware. SHE IS AWESOME!!! We are keeping her and making the trek up for our infant son. She is very experienced, took as much time as we needed and the wait was nothing. This was one of the best finds EVER!!!

Dr. Navarra Rodriguez is my primary care physican, and the Washington Heights Office is located just around the corner from my apt! It’s so convenient. I have received excellent care and customer service from Dr. Rodriguez as well as her support staff, so much so that even though I now live in downtown Brooklyn, I make the commute up to Washington Heights for my medical care. This office is a great example of the exceptional customer service and great care offered by Manhattan’s Physician Group. I am very satisfied with their service.
