I’m pretty sure I just found my new tailors. Dropped off Saturday afternoon and had my three pairs of pants back by Sunday. All fit perfectly

I have been resistant to getting things tailored because I didn’t think it was worth the expense but my current proportions now require it. To offset the blow I bought some clothes at Marshell’s and Unilocaled inexpensive tailors. After several steps I came across this place, it only had 1 review but it was positive and they were near my job so I look a chance. When I first called at 8:20 the lady who answered said the tailors should be in by 8:30 but would probably get there at 9. I was worried but went anyway. It worked out great. Got pants taken in on the lower leg and 2 jackets done. One had been two sizes too big and the other was snug on the arms. Paid $ 62 for everything which I thought was great. It was ready on time (2d later) No hassles. It is a small family type business so their professionalism/​customer service is a little unrefined but they were very kind and familial. Will definitely be doing all my tailoring and dry cleaning here even though I will no longer be working in the area and it will be a schlep. TIP: the awning doesn’t say Martin, I think it says T&T Dry Cleaning or something to that effect.

This review is for their tailoring services – I needed to get a wool hat of mine altered in a very specific way – I wanted a lining stitched in so that it wouldn’t itch my head anymore – not a big job, but a delicate one – it’s an expensive hat, and I didn’t want it ruined. I brought it in to this place, since it’s in my nabe. The guy said it would cost ten bucks, and it’d be ready by Tuesday (this was on Saturday).
Picked it up Tuesday evening, and it was perfect – just what I needed, and a very nice bit of sewing. It looked like it came from the manufacturer that way. I’m sure there are plenty of tailors in the city who could have done the same, but there are few tailors of any skill level in this part of town, and you just can’t beat that price for such quality work. If I have any alterations to be made to any item of clothing I have, they will get my business.
