Specialties
Metropolitan Pediatrics has Board certified pediatricians with decades of combined experience that we apply to provide our patients with the highest level of care.
Via our #BugOfTheWeek feed on www.Twitter.com, we provide weekly updates to New York City parents — whether patients or not — on illness outbreaks in the community, as well as other updates regarding the practice.
In our office we provide care to infants, toddlers, school-age children and young adults. We offer comprehensive care to children from birth to college age. Routine well-care visits include developmental assessment, anticipatory guidance and vaccination. Appointments also are available daily for sick visits and other matters that require immediate attention. In addition, 365 days a year we take care of newborn patients in the hospital.
History
Established in 1985.
Metropolitan Pediatrics is owned by Dr. Timothy Sasala. Dr. Sasala acquired the practice from Dr. Kusum Khanna who has been a pediatrician on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for 30 years. Since acquiring the practice, Dr. Sasala has relocated the office from West 75th Street up to 254 West 87th Street (near Broadway). The practice has converted to electronic medical records to provide the most comprehensive and secure medical records to patients.
