Miss Fancy Plants

This was very frustrating! I really wanted to like Miss Fancy Plants but the quality left a lot to be desired.
I needed to order a bouquet and boutonnière for our City Hall wedding. Brittney was responsive and professional in our communications, and the photos from her portfolio showed that her style was exactly what we wanted. So I went with my heart and chose Miss Fancy Plants even though it was slightly more expensive than more established competitors.
When I got the flowers the day before our wedding, sadly, a couple of blooms in my bouquet were already damaged: The stems had broken so the blooms were drooping. A couple of blooms is pretty significant when you have a relatively small bouquet (~9 inches in diameter). I decided to let it go because the bouquet was pretty, even if it was a little sparse.
However, the next morning, when we were getting ready, we noticed the boutonnière was drooping. Britt had assured us that the flowers would be OK overnight but that definitely wasn’t true!
It was incredibly annoying to have something this basic not work out. All our wedding photos have a dying boutonnière prominently featured.
Overall, Miss Fancy Plants is lovely but the quality isn’t what you’d expect for an important event.

Brittney at Miss Fancy Plants was AMAZING to work with for our November 2014 wedding. She seemed genuinely excited by our «story book» theme from the get-​go, and was incredibly involved throughout the entire planning process — I know nothing about flowers, so we took a trip to the flower market together so that she could see what I liked, and she encouraged me to make a Pinterest page for her so she could see what styles I was drawn to. We had emails going back and forth with pictures, ideas, etc. all the time and she was incredibly responsive. The flowers and centerpieces were BEYOND my wildest dreams in terms of beauty, texture, complexity, etc… I felt like they could have been straight out of a styled, professional photo shoot! I am still receiving compliments on everything a week later. She also went above and beyond to help us make the day go smoothly in any way possible and really contributed to what was the perfect, perfect day. She is incredibly talented, calm under pressure, and all around fun to work with — I can’t recommend her enough!

I worked with Miss Fancy Plants for my October 2014 wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse in Brooklyn, NY. I couldn’t have been more pleased with how everything turned out.
My relationship with Brittney (aka Miss Fancy Plants) began when I met her at her booth at a 9^th street neighborhood fair — impressed by her bouquets, and amused by her company’s name, I took her business card and soon became a committed social follower. When it came time for me to plan my wedding, I knew who to call.
It took just a couple conversations and a shared Pinterest board for me to realize that Brittney not only understood «my vision,» but could take it to the next level. The final outcome was stunning. Even though Miss Fancy Plants had less than two hours to transform the boathouse (the space was open to the public prior to the wedding), she did it with a smile and incredible efficiency. The flowers were stunning and perfectly complimented the vibe of the venue. Miss Fancy Plants accented the table centerpieces with beautiful stemware and votives, built a garland of greens to drape along the spiraling staircases, and more; every single element she created was PERFECTION.

I worked with Brittney Summers for my May 2013 wedding and absolutely LOVED her. I randomly met Brittney on the street as she sold flowers in the East Village and knew I had a keeper right away. She was so invested, professional and creative throughout the whole wedding process. I couldn’t have asked for more.
I found various pictures on Pinterest that had a «look» I hoped Brittney could recreate for our wedding and I left it at that. Brittney took it from there and not only created EXACTLY what I wanted, but she added to the general theme of the ideas I had with her own beautifully creative touches. I seriously can’t begin to tell you how talented and fun to work with this girl is!
The best part of all was that I randomly met Brittney on the street one day while she was selling flowers. She was friendly and without a trace of pushiness of normal wedding vendors. She is wildly sweet and made my wedding venue the magical garden I was looking for. I showed up to the wedding venue right before the ceremony started and everything was already set up (by Britt) and looked amazing.
With regards to budget, I told Britt what I was working with and she worked within that realm. She was straight forward and honest about what I could/​could not have with the $ I was able to spend.
Overall, I was so impressed with Brittney and will recommend her to any and every bride who will listen. This girl loves flowers and it shows. And I love Brittney! A special thank you to her for helping to make my wedding day stress free and beautiful.

We used Miss Fancy Plants recently for our wedding at the Brooklyn Winery and words truly cannot express how happy we were! Use her, trust us, she is the BEST. Simply put, she will be HUGE one day, and we are so excited to know that she was able to be a part of the best day of our lives.
We met Brittney back in March when we decided on the location of our venue. We met for drinks which was casual and relaxed and we got to know each other. She immediately understood what we were interested in and what she then produced perfectly complemented the venue but also reflected our personalities.
She is professional, adorable, excited, talented, reliable, personable… basically any positive adjective to describe a human being. She visited our venue multiple times, met us at the flower market to see what we liked and sent so many ideas for us to choose from.
The venue was very rustic, yet in an urban environment. To enhance the ethereal beauty of the venue, she strung floral garland and café lights from the ceilings. She constructed aisle runners of Russian Sage which created the most beautiful ambiance for our ceremony.
Almost every person we talked to that day and after have complimented us on our centerpieces and the attention to detail. From the lace runners (she picked up), the centerpieces which contained herbs, blush tone dahlias, roses, hydrangeas, veronica, blackberries and raspberries, to the little bud vases tucked into each and every corner of the room, everything was stunning and completely gorgeous. By using herbs like rosemary, mint and thyme and super fragrant roses, our centerpieces actually scented the room. They were addicting… like put your face right in there and stay there forever. My bouquet was to die for. Everything was absolutely perfect.
If you want a floral designer that completely understands what you are looking for and then over delivers by 1000%, then she is your lady. I have several friends anxiously awaiting proposals so they can use Miss Fancy Plants for their wedding. This is how amazing she is.
Contact her, get to know her, fall in love with her, and then be completely floored by her talent and amazingness. Then thank me later :)

I sent my best friend an absolutely gorgeous bouquet for her birthday. I don’t know much about flowers, so I just requested that the florist use fall colors/​flowers and, using her professional judgment, create a seasonal bouquet. It exceeded my expectations and for such a reasonable price. I will definitely use them again.
