Born and raised in Taiwan, Moonching Wu immigrated to the United States when she was 10 years old. She graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with honors from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City. Her artwork has been collected and exhibited in various venues throughout the US, including the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Since 1997 she has worked as a designer and production artist for numerous individual and corporate clients, including Condé Nast Publications and the short lived but well loved magazine BREATHE. She has served as the interpreter and studio assistant for the renowned Chinese artist Cai Guo Qiang, a job which took her around the world and rekindled her interest in Chinese philosophy and culture. Dedicated to the wisdom of Chinese antiquity, Moonching applies science and philosophy from both the Eastern and Western traditions in her practice of Chinese medicine with a classical interpretation and focus.
