I have never been disappointed in the quality. Decent sushi, amazing miso soup, and great sweet and sour chicken! I feel like it’s $ 1 – 2 over priced; but for this area I love their food and always turn to them when I’m in need of a good dinner or lunch. Highly recommend you give it a try. However, they always put cucumber on my sushi when I specifically put a note saying ‘NO cucumber’ this is annoying and makes me think they don’t read the notes on orders.

I can here for a relaxing lunch. While eating those strange tortilla-sqe chips a mother-daughter duo started blasting their own music even though other music was playing. I hate them and I hate this place for not asking them to stop being rude. Clearly my lunch was not relaxing and if my sushi was not so damn delicious I might has thrown it at them.

OMG! I just got my order from here and I almost threw up! I ordered a small wonton soup, a salmon and four pieces of shrimp sushi. First off, the delivery is slow. Like it took more than an hour. I opened the wonton soup and it smelled a little weird. I don’t know what compelled me to try it but I did(hunger I guess) and almost vomitted on myself! I don’t understand why my wonton soup tasted old and fishy!!! GROSS!!! I don’t think I will even try the sushi. I should just stuck to my regular place. I will never be cheap again about paying for sushi and wonton soup. I can still taste it in my mouth… I’ve brushed twice already.

Everything I’ve ordered from here is good. Their steamed veggies are terrific and NOT canned. Delivery quickness depends on what time of the day you order — sometimes it comes within 20min, other times it takes an hour. The best Chinese food in the area!

I usually get my sushi from this place because it’s right around my area. The food is pretty good. I recently ordered their special of the day which were salmon dumplings and those I liked. Hopefully they will add them to their regular menu. The times I’ve ordered for delivery, they’ve been pretty fast as well. Overall I’d say it’s a pretty good place to settle your sushi or Chinese craving from.

Not a bad place if you order the right thing, e.g. yangzhou fried rice, chicken with salt and pepper. Other dishes that I have tried were just a little too Americanized for me.

Banned for life. This is what I was told by a grubhub representative on the phone after I called to complain that the sushi chef had completely messed up our order. The poor lady informed me that the restaurant would no longer deliver to my address anymore, since they were«offended» I would dare to «accuse» their chef of serving our sushi wrong, and they don’t want customers who have the audacity to question their chef’s honesty. Ridiculous. The night started like usual. We’ve ordered Moon House plenty of times, and always we’ve been pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. NYC Chinese is always a hit or miss, as I would imagine in most major cities. I’ve had my fair share of trips to the ER from spoiled food covered up with copious amounts of sweet chinese glaze, but I have a strange love affair with Chinese takeout that keeps me hungering for more, and to finally find a restaurant with consistent quality food. I thought I had found the«one» with Moon House. I’d ordered from them probably a dozen or so times, and knew that I could count on tasty, reasonably priced Chinese/Japanese/Asian food that didn’t send me to the porcelain throne keeled over. Crab Rangoons were always crispy and what tasted like REALCRAB filling(I know, the chances!). The steamed pork dumplings were delicious and perfect as I’ve had in NYC. We had sushi ordered multiple times, always tasted fresh and they were very accommodating considering my girlfriend’s dietary restrictions. At least, they were accommodating until this night, which brings me back to the problem in the first place… We had ordered 10 Fried Scallops, Spicy Tuna Sushi, Scallop Sushi, and Kani Tempura. Delivery was a little late, but this is ok considering it was an hour before closing, so by the time it arrived they had just closed. Since my girlfriend has certain dietary restrictions and she has dysphagia due to a medical condition(difficulty swallowing, especially things like seeds, fibrous bits, etc), we always put special requests in for the food in grubhub before ordering. In the past, they’ve always been happy to accommodate, and never have shown ANY signs of resentment or frustration. Our EXACT request was this: For the spicy tuna: «No nori, no sesame seeds, no wasabe, no ginger, no pieces — Just rice wrapped around the spicy tuna, thank you! MILDORNOSPICYPLEASE :)» For the scallop sushi: «No nori, no sesame seeds, no wasabe, no ginger, no pieces. Just rice wrapped around scallop :)» Every single one of our orders was ordered just like this, I have even talked with the manager/owner before and they never said it was a problem. It’s always come in just right. Tonight? Not so much. The ginger and wasabe mashed in with the scallop sushi which still had veggie pieces on the top, and the tuna still had seeds. I immediately called grubhub since they are better at talking with restaurants than the customer, and generally will make sure that nothing fishy happens. The lady was polite as I told her about my girlfriend’s medical condition and explained to them it’s never been a problem in the past, maybe it was just a mistake. She told me she would try to contact Moon House, but since it was about 10 minutes after they closed she would not guarantee an answer. I waited, and I got a call back from the rep. She sounded kind of taken aback, and she explained to me that grubhub was going to refund my order, but Moon House is now banning me from their restaurant for life. WHAT? Why? She told me she had talked to the manager, who went out of her way to call the sushi chef. She said the sushi chef NEVER makes mistakes, and that she couldn’t BELIEVE he would have made this mistake. He supposedly told the manager he sent the order EXACTLY as I wanted it, and that he was so offended that I would dare lie about it. I told the rep on the phone that I had PHOTOGRAPHIC proof of the food that I had just taken a photo of, proving my story. Didn’t matter, she said, as the restaurant didn’t want an explanation, and that they just wanted to lock me out and close the book. Wow. NEVER have I EVER experienced this kind of rudeness. I’ve had lots of horrible service experiences in the past, but I can’t say I’ve ever been banned from a restaurant for complaining. It’s too bad, since I just wanted an apology and perhaps a replacement the next day when they open, I had saved the food and would have been happy to give it back to them so they know I wasn’t lying. Well, I guess being delusional and egotistical and siding with your chef is more important than customer satisfaction. He may make the food, but he doesn’t pay the bills, and while Moon House seems to have a good reputation for everyone else, I won’t be dining here ever again(not like I can, anyway!!).

This place was cool. We stopped here on a whim after my sons BBall game yesterday(6÷13÷15) I love a Chinese restaurant that starts you w/the crispy dumplings and duck sauce to dip! I had the 3 rolls for $ 12 special(salmon, tuna, California) and my son had Sesame Chicken. Both yumz! The décor has a nostalgic feel. I liked it. Along w/the check was our fortune cookies and a neatly carved orange ready to eat. Budget friendly. I’d def do this place again.

Terrible, even though I received an online confirmation they didn’t have my order and didn’t process it til an hour later. I then got it an hour later. 2 hours for takeout is just not acceptable. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli and have never been so sick. Terrible. I will say that I had ordered a few times over a year ago and service and presentation of food were good. Last two deliveries have me looking elsewhere.

Some decent Chinese food with a huge delivery range! FINALLY! I suggest the miso soup and the roast pork buns. Also very fresh salmon sushi; I love how they deliver it with the lemon on the side. The wonton soup was in a beef based broth which was overly salty and I wasn’t a fan of the wontons. Other than that, highly recommended. Also, last time we ordered delivery they threw in a free Coke(which was great because I forgot to order one!) Thanks Moon House.

Ordered out from here once and it was a little disappointing. I got crab Rangoon which did not have much filling in it and was mostly fried wonton, the scallion pancake was a little oily, and my fried vegetable rice was a little plain. It’s sad to say their food wasn’t so great because it’s in such a great area!

I order Moon House more than I’d probably like to admit… I have ordered delivery through Seamless, called in, gotten carry out, as well as dined in a couple times. Delivery is always prompt and staff is very friendly. In all the times I’ve ordered from here I can only remember once when they have flubbed on my order, to which they quickly corrected by swiftly delivering what they had forgotten. We usually go with the 3 sushi rolls for $ 12 and a Chinese entrée of some sort. We’ve also tried many of the appetizers. All delish!

Bleh!!! The worst food! Every single thing I had there was close to inedible. Major disappointment! Staff was distracted on their cell phones while I tried to pay. Frustrating and horrible place. I will not be going back.

Moon house is definitely one of my go to chinese food and sushi. In my effort to introduce my friend to sushi I brought her here so she could also get food incase for some unfortunate reason she didn’t love sushi. Needless to say she did love sushi and gets excited whenever I mentiom coming here. The restaurant is family owned and it’s a friendly environment. When you dine in you are greeted with a smile and a bowl of fried noodles and duck sauce. Please and thank you! Moon House recently renovated and the place looks great. They have a light bright color on the wall and installed very cute crystal chandeliers that give off great light and make the space feel brighter and bigger. I’m so happy for them because the place looks great. Tonight we’re eating the fried wontons(yum), the roast pork with vegetable soup and three different sushi rolls(christmas, tuna and salmon avocado). As usual they never disappoint!

I absolutely love this place. They provide the best hospitality around and the neighborhood. The sushi and Chinese food tastes amazing! The sushi is always decorated elegantly with a flavorful punch. This place is the best on 3rd ave!
