Nadeau Furniture with a Soul

The furniture is very pretty, with a kind of shabby chic style, it looks unique. The only issue I have with this place is that there’s absolutely no return or exchanges, not even store credit, and with furniture, that’s a tall order.

This store is a WOW! Great Selection of funky and affordable furniture. Just the right piece for the just the right space in NYC. Also, while they do not offer delivery, Henry from Steven Movers is usually around the shop and was 100% reliable, professional and timely for our same day delivery! We will keep going back here…

While the people who work at this place are indeed lovely, the furniture is unique, and the prices are unbeatable, I do want to caution a potential buyer as to the actual quality of the merchandise: I purchased two pieces recently, one of which, a dresser whose drawers get stuck and/​or don’t open, is unusable — and about to be thrown out. A real pity because it looks great, and I still need more furniture, which I will obviously not buy from Nadeau.

This place is amazing! I am so sad I don’t live in NYC any more because this is where I got practically all the furniture in my new house. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable, and were great with delivery. You can get pieces here that are just as fantastic as the way overpriced stuff you find at tony «ABC Home and Carpet» for a FRACTION of the cost. I get so many comments on the pieces I bought here! I have very eclectic, artsy tastes… no cookie cutter furniture for me. If you are looking for something unique and creative looking that won’t destroy your wallet, come here!

This place has a nice variety of pieces with a range of character. The store manager Shay was very helpful in trying to understand my style and space while making recommendations. I would definitely recommend this place for pieces with personality.

I really like the selection of unique and affordable furniture this place has! They have a lot of really nice, funky pieces if you’re tired of overpaying at Crate and Barrel and can’t stand to shop at a horribly generic place like Raymour and Flanigan. The one downside is they don’t arrange the delivery for you, but they do have a few delivery services they recommend and the one I chose was able to deliver the same day and did a great job.

I love Nadeau! Both my home and office are furnished almost exclusively with their furniture. Nadeau has such an amazing variety of décor that is everchanging, always fresh. The vibe in the store is extremely welcoming and the staff provides impeccable customer service. The store manager, Shay, is kind, funny, and brilliant. Whatever your vision is, she will help you make it come to life. Did I mention I love this store? Hands down, my favorite stop for all of my furnishing needs.

Always love a trip to Nadeau, I plan many Sunday mornings around it. I never have any particular item I’m looking for but over the years I’ve managed to accumulate an ecclectic mix of pieces that are unique and add character to my home. Tiffany is great and always very helpful as well as all the staff I’ve worked with there. Just wish I had more space in my home to accommodate more of their great pieces! I bring all my friends there and and consider it a necessary stop whenever I’m in the city!

Great collection of unusual furniture and decorative pieces, rustic, colorful, handmade and always something new for a good price. They regularly get new items so it is fun to regularly stop by and see if you find something that is perfect for your place. Staff is helpful and friendly.

You are the best store I’ve ever found and been to. Your choices are exquisite, the quality is excellent, the aesthetic is beautiful, and the prices are incredible. Also, here in NYC, Shay is the absolute BEST.

Nadeau is one of my absolute favorite places for furniture and fun décor pieces. The store is packed with unique. colorful (and neutral) pieces that are reasonable priced and constantly changing. I’ve purchased both a coat rack and bedside chest and can’t wait to add more to my apartment. Shay, the manager, is a spunky and charismatic and really knows her inventory.

Absolutely lovely store in the heart of the Village. SUPER friendly store staff. The manager, Shay, is an absolute delight. Beautiful furniture that is unique and surprisingly affordable. If you’re looking for pieces that look $$$ but have a slightly-​higher-​than Ikea price tag, check these guys out. The price is a steal, but quality is five star! Solid wood only! Oh, and they served wine too!

Nadeau is complete with unique, fun furniture from India and Indonesia. I visit this location at least once a week, if only to browse the plethora of pieces that inspire me to make my home interesting, cozy, and inviting. I have purchased quite a few great pieces here: a sky blue nightstand, a white end table with several drawers (and some small ones for hiding little things like candles and jewelry), the perfect green hutch, an adorable small wooden desk and chair for my young son, and mango-​wood trays that I turned into a headboard to showcase my most special souvenirs from my world travel. The customer service here is outstanding. The staff is genuinely dedicated to making sure I am a happy customer; each staff member has spent a good amount of time one-​on-​one making sure I find the pieces that are perfect for me. I wish I knew everyone’s name so I could say something specific about each person. Shay is an amazing manager — a delightful combination of professional, fun, interesting, thoughtful, and helpful! Her energy is endless and uplifting! Dan is the man for when you need to tweak a piece of furniture, find a specific kind of piece, and he is always incredibly helpful (and always with a smile). I love this store and have made it my go-​to for my furniture and home décor needs. Go visit and fall in love like I did.

This is a really nice place if you are looking for affordable but not cookie cutter furnitures. The furnitures are all very stylish, with a vintage industrial chic feel. I purchased chairs and mirrors from here and am impressed by its quality. Better than some of the antique stores we went to. Definitely recommend it. Plus the Unilocal deal with free gift was cute.

I try and browse here twice a month as they have new stock in every week.
I found some great Ivory Bone pieces here and very unique mirrors, pillows and other accessories. The stock is mainly antique cottage style furniture with a little pizzazz.
The staff is super friendly and is always willing to help. This is Definitely worth a visit Before you hit the Crate and barrel type store for furniture– as you will realize a store like Nadeu has more bargains on great quality pieces.

This is a great little furniture & accessories store in NYC, practically a hidden gem if you love global décor and take a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, like I do! Nadeau has an array of assorted furniture mostly from India and Indonesia. The pieces are not very high end — but they are very UNIQUE.
Prices for a buffet table/​credenza ranges from $ 440 to $ 650 and the smaller pieces like side tables are priced at $ 100+. They also have fabulous wall mirrors of all sizes and smaller goods like storage benches, entry tables, stools and such.
I actually found Nadeau on Craigslist while looking for a very specific type of narrow storage bench. I emailed them to ask for dimensions & photos via email & they were very prompt with the response.
We actually bought two pieces of furniture from them & love it, except for the very strong odor, kinda like some pesticide that is sprayed on wood. We are hoping that will evaporate in time, as both are storage pieces.
While I love everything I saw in store, I do have a suggestion that would make them even more awesome. It would be great, if they had delivery options for their furnture. Right now they don’t have an e-​commerce website and even after you pick up the pieces in store, the onus of getting it delivered to your home is completely yours. I would seriously be buying and recommending them to more people, if Nadeau took care of this from their end — especially in the NY/​NJ area.
Also, every purchase is final sale — so make a wise decision :)

If you like UNIQUE, VINTAGE, DISTRESSED furniture, this is the place to go!!! :D
One thing in mind, last time I went, there were not many items but this time, there were WHOLE LOT more. So, make sure you visit them when the new items come in. :)
The prices are VERY reasonable and I saw so many unique items with distressed looks, which I LOVE. A desk ran about $ 250 and floor mirrors ranged from $ 80 something to $ 180, which would’ve costed at least twice more at other places. :)
Keep in mind, you can easily get led on by a series of interesting items and spend a couple of hrs at a blink — come in your free time! :)

Why did I not know about this place before!!! Absolute gem! Affordable characteristic furniture in an array of colors. From credenzas, dining tables, chairs, dressers, headboards, mirrors, stools, you name it. The staff is so friendly and so helpful.
I actually looked at their website before visiting this place to see if it was worth a trip. They have a ton of things on the website, not necessarily up to date with what they have in stock, but it gives you a great idea of what they have and the prices. The prices will shock you. Some are just an absolute steal! I was able to find a multi-​purpose wooden tool box/​basket. A multi-​purpose piece really that I use to keep magazines.
I am dying to go back!
