I highly recommend Dr. Botwinick. He repaired my wrist fracture. His staff is very professional and polite. The office is clean and run very efficiently, there is hardly any waiting time for appointments. I wasn’t referred by anyone, I went from all the great reviews on the web and was extremely pleased with Dr. Botwinick.

So grateful to have found Dr. Botwinick. What a credit to his profession. After long suffering with de quervain’s tendonitis (aka mommy thumb), I had a sudden injury to another tendon that left my hand basically unusable. I had previously seen a rheumatologist for relief who misread the situation and gave me an unnecessary injection, providing no relief and weakening the tendons overall. A friend highly recommended Dr. Botwinick, so I decided to see him for a consultation. He was fantastic, as was his assistant Alyse and all of the staff that man his office. Professional, on time, friendly, informative and thorough: everything you’d want in a doctor and staff. He scheduled the surgery quickly and promised I would have relief after it was done, and sure enough, a week later, that is just what I’ve got. My hand is significantly better and will undoubtedly improve further in the coming weeks.
The one thing that REALLY stood out to me: Dr. Botwinick did not dismiss my concerns about the affects of taking anti-​inflammatories or antibiotics on my overall immune health. He really listened and treated me, the whole patient. It is unexpected to find doctors in «traditional medicine» who are open to that level of discussion, and I appreciated his willingness to address all of my concerns following the surgery.
Cannot recommend Dr. Botwinick highly enough.

If I could give Dr. Botwinick one million stars, I would! He was absolutely amazing, completing 3 different surgeries on my wrist at once. His staff is prompt, professional, accommodating and organized. I’ve never waited more than 3 – 5 minutes and have even been taken early for appointments. He was transparent along the way, describing the pre and post surgery steps as well as taking the time to make sure I understood what the implications were for having the surgery. He answered all my questions patiently and ensuring that I completely understood everything. On the day of the surgery, he met with my father and I for 10 – 15 minutes, walking us through the process and calming my nerves.
I was in a soft cast for 10 days post-​surgery but he was able to get my in after 8 days to remove stitches and put me in a hard cast as i had to travel. My cast came off 3 weeks later and he then recommended an amazing occupational therapist. Working together, I saw my wrist mobility and use return very quickly. Within 7 weeks, I was back to using my wrist regularly — even better than before the surgeries! The scarring has been healing well and I even had a doctor friend comment on how it looked like «great work» for such a large surgery.
I literally cannot recommend Dr. Botwinick enough!

I broke my hand in 3 different places and Dr. Botwinick was excellent. He was very great. He did a fantastic job on my hand. He’s the best in the business. Highly recommend him.

I don’t even have words to describe how ABSOLUTELY fantastic Dr. Botwinick is. I have had a ganglion cyst for the past three years and my mobility had decreased to about 60%. After getting jerked around by other doctors I finally found Dr. Botwinick and I’m so happy I did. Dr. Botwinick and his staff got me set up immediately for the removal and I’m now ten days post surgery (just got my stitches removed this morning) and I’m in less pain than I have been for the past three years.
There is something special about finding a doctor that both listens to you and makes you trust him. He is one of the FEW doctors that deserves to be arrogant (as he is that fantastic) but isn’t. His staff did everything they could pre surgery, during my surgery as well as post surgery to insure that I had a fabulous experience.
Dr. Botwinick as well as his PA Alyse, deserve nothing but praise. They are some of the most caring staff you will ever meet. Thank you Dr. Botwinick, for giving me back my hand.
Update (2÷6÷15)
I thought I’d update on my surgery, I’m now over 3 months post op. I have absolutely NO pain in my wrist and have mobility I haven’t had in three years. My scar is turning into a wrinkle in my wrist, and once it fades from pink it should be almost invisible.
I can’t express enough how much of an amazing surgeon this man is.

I am two weeks out of my carpal tunnel, tendinitis in the wrist and Ulnar nerve entrapment surgery. Everything went smoothly. Botwinick and his PA were truly amazing at the office visits prior to the surgery, at the ambulatory surgery center and at my post-​op visit. Everything was clearly explained and discussed. Dr. Botwinick is professional, explanatory, personable and kind. I’m very pleased.

The best there is. Dr. Botwinick did surgery on my wrist and elbow. He did an awesome job. I have been to other doctors, who did unneccesary testing and were puzzled. Dr. Botwinick knew right away what the issue was. i would not go to anyone else

There are many rude and arrogant doctors (which are about the worst qualities one can have as a medical doctor) and Dr. Botwinick is not one of them.
I am a massage therapist and had a very acute elbow issue that started four months ago. Since then, I had received marginal care and shaming from another orthopedic surgeon. With a basic understanding of human anatomy I knew something was not right and questioned that care from the begining. I truly believe if a physician doesn’t bother to touch you you should run away as fast as you can. The whole experince has been very horrifying without having answers or knowing if I’d be able to work normally again.
Fast forward 4 months later, I ended up at Dr. Botwinick’s office after conservative measures (occupational therapy, 1 cortizone injection, over the counter NSAIDs, exercise, acupuncture, massage, and chiropractic) have had marginal results.
He and his PA are both very knowlegeable, warm, and patient and it’s very obvious he LOVES being a doctor. Before I even saw this man I heard him taking time with his other patients and after two minutes of conversation I really truly trusted him 100%.
Both he and his PA did very thorough palpation and orthopedic testing as well as taking thorough subjective notes and he really spent time explaining to me what was happening in my forearm and the procedure to fix it. He took the time to look at the whole picture and I cannot say enough about my ONE visit with him. My surgery hasn’t happened yet but if you’re looking for an orthopedist that really does their job, LOVES what they do, and LOVES helping people I highly suggest Dr. Botwinick’s practice.

Dr. Botwinick was great! I broke my thumb and got an appt with his office the same day. He was very thorough in explaining the injury and walked me through my options step-​by-​step. The office and radiology staff were efficient, friendly and I was in and out within an hour. Also, his office is centrally located in lower Manhattan, near several train stops.

Dr. Botwinick was wonderful! I had just come from a previous doctor with whom I had an awful experience and I am so grateful that I decided to keep on looking for a surgeon. He was genuine, direct, informative, friendly, and treated his employees with respect (huge in my book!). He prepped me well for my surgery and made sure that I had understood 100% of what he was saying. He took his time, and asked for more x-​rays because he wasn’t satisfied. Thorough and professional. I have scheduled my surgery and feel good about it. Which is a relief!!!
