New Yorker Picture Frames

Can’t say enough good things about this Frame shop. Golan helped me pick out a full length mirror for my apartment. They delivered it as promised. I love it! They also framed some photos last minute for me. I will continue to use their services.

They have been hooking me up with the dopest frames for as long as I can think of… ive never had an issue (and im usually tough to please lol). Anytime I need something done, they get it done exactly as ive requested. Im writing a review at this point because i just used them for a gift for my brother and the frame fit the art perfectly and my brother was floored by the whole thing. So, i guess a review was due. Thanks for all the good stuff over the years. Keep it up! :)

My husband and I have gotten a lot of our art framed here. Hasan is fair with pricing and provides lots of feedback on how to frame our pieces. My husband surprised me with a piece that he got framed for my birthday and it looked perfect. They did an amazing job with floating the art and it looked as though there was no glass on the frame — perfect!

I come here specifically for important pieces and have done a handful (Takashi murakami, Scott Campbell, etc). They do a great job with museum glass and frames. I appreciate that they provide advice when asked and are reasonable on pricing. I will keep going back and suggesting them to friends.

It was great to have another piece of art that I had donated, and I asked the framer for NEW YORKER PICTURE FRAMES frame it for me and they did an amazing job guiding me in selecting the sort of framing that was best for the piece, it was lovely!!! New Yorker Picture Frames is in my opinion the best framing in New York. I have trusted them with many high value, irreplaceable works, and their team has always delivered. The staff is always very helpful and attentive and their selection of frames fits any aesthetic ! Highly recommended !

After having had a lithograph beautifully framed there last year, I revisited on Saturday and asked if it were possible to purchase custom-​made fillets for two beveled 8-​ply mats. First I was told «no problem.» When I returned shortly thereafter with the mats (and a frame for color selection), I was basically chased away. Instead of working with me — or trying to upsell me, which would have been fine — the salesperson who served me was extremely nasty, asked «what are you doing here?», then told me he could either sell me a gold mat (why? I never asked for a gold mat) or not help me at all, then spun on his heels and disappeared behind the curtain/​screen into the workshop. Horrible, misogynistic, condescending treatment.

I have had 5 items framed here. Two of which were older oil based paintings that needed a lot of care. They have done amazing jobs on all of them. I really think they are the best in the city. Great service as well!

I have used David’s services a number of times, but this was special. A beautiful, decorative tile I had brought back from Greece fell and a corner cracked off. David looked at it, assured me it could be repaired, suggested a border and a new frame. I was expecting a house guest and wanted it fixed quickly. It was! and, it looks beautiful, better than ever. Thanks David!

This place is amazing, I am a photographer who needed to have several prints framed.
Now I had no idea which color or which material to choose from. Because this doesn’t get easy with more options. But David was there to help me through the whole process and kept me within the better options and within budget.

Recently came in to have an old print framed as a holiday gift. The gentlemen here were very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I had never gotten something custom-​framed before and they were able to help me through the process. I love the end result! highly recommend!

Recently got the print of my favorite painting framed here. A bit pricier than the other places, but the print is now on my wall and looking gorgeous. The main guys that work here are knowledgeable, friendly, and are experienced in framing. Will return in the future with original paintings that I purchase with the millions I get from my bum fighting winnings.

I am such a jerk for writing this 1 year later but… these guys deserve a good review! Excellent service and quality of product. They helped me cut and customize a mirror chair that came out beautifully. It was a tough project and turnaround and these guys worked with me to get all of the difficult cuts down properly. GREAT PLACE!

David is so kind and helpful! I ordered 8 framed prints from them and they were extremely accommodating! They were able to fit my price range and they were very knowledgable about what would be the best framing options for my pieces. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone and especially SVA students! They are the best!

These guys do great work.
I have had a few things done here over the past few months and the staff really nails it. They understand design and pick great color/​frame combos. While the frames are a bit expensive, it is worth every penny knowing you are getting the best.

I have had 2 different sets of art framed by David and team at NYer Picture Frame. One set consisted of large NYC subway signs and another of graffiti art work done on art paper. David and team did a wonderful job in helping me get these pieces in to frames and helping me choose the best frame and mat for each picture. He was also able to work with my tight budget to get the work done. The service and expertise at NYer are a step above the rest, its no surprise that they do work for some NY largest institutions.

My husband and I ordered 6 framed pieces of artwork from crate and barrel. We took it here to have wires put in the back for hanging. About 2 weeks later, one of the frames fell off the wall, damaging the art and the baseboard of our apartment. When we went back to the store both Hasan and Golan refused to accept responsibility for incorrectly installing the wires in the back, instead blaming the quality of the frame. The other 5 are still hanging out the wall with no problems, so clearly there is fault on their part. They only refunded us $ 30 for over $ 100 of product we need to purchase again. In addition, Hasan was BEYOND rude when we first went in to address the issue. What is most frustrating is I have given them over $ 350 worth of business matting and framing my undergraduate and graduate school diplomas. You think they would have a bit of customer loyalty. Needless to say, we will not be going back here even though we live right next door to the store.
My advice to New Yorker-​get some better customer service and loyalty-​and get rid of Hasan because he is rude to customers.

. Excellent job at very reasonable rates. The shop is a little busy as the owner, whose service and recommendations are brilliant, seems to be spent a little too often on cleaning up the micro-​chaos caused by his trusty sidekick. Still you cant beat the value of the quality of the job.
