I finished six sessions of hair removal on full body and I have to say this was the best thing I have ever done for myself and it changed my life!!! Place is very cute and super clean. Staff is always so friendly. Will highly recommend to everyone. They use candela machine, which is the best!

Came here for full body laser 2 years ago. Got 6 sessions for about 2600. Going in for more now because I trust this place. The prices results were decent and the staff is usually pretty nice. The front receptionist, i think her name is Anna, is super sweet.

Pros:
* Awesome location, right at 54^th St b/​t 7^th Ave & Avenue Of The Americas next to the NRQ line.
* Great service, front desk receptionist is really nice. My technician Xenal awesome: Super friendly, informative, patient and professional. She made my experience comfortable and easy.
* They email and call you to remind you of your appointment.
* While there is nothing spectacular and luxurious about the office. it’s the reason why the prices are phenomenal! NOWHERE in NYC can you get SIX underarms sessions for $ 145 and SIX Brazilian sessions for $ 198! When Xenal told me the numbers, I was thinking «Per session???» and my jaw dropped when she replied, «No, for 6!» They advertise through Groupon but they have huge promotions and you can book directly with them (see my picture for prices). They also have promotional packages, which you can subscribe via email.
* I also chose New You because they utilize Candela Laser Hair Removal Technology. In my research and from friends’ experiences, Candela is the best and most effective in the industry.
* Take credit cards for tips.
To note:
* Being a first timer and having never waxed, this HURT like a B****. Thank god it’s super quick and you forget about the sensation almost immediately.
* Listening to music helped assuage the stabbing pains.
* Your skin is sensitive and red for the next 1 – 2 days.

Bought a Groupon for 6 sessions of laser hair removal. The experience itself was ok, although I have gotten laser at other places/​salons and this one was by far the most painful.
The «salon» itself is clean but very small and cramped. The rooms are tiny as is the waiting area.
They offered additional packages for purchase, but I didn’t feel the need to buy one as I really did find this procedure to be more painful than other places I’ve tried. However, I definitely saw a reduction in the hairs on my legs, although I do think it’ll need a touch up soon.
Scheduling an appointment was always easy, which was great because my schedule changes week to week, so I needed a space that would be accommodating of that and could allow me to book appointments the week that I needed to come in as opposed to 6 weeks away!
Xenal was the last person who treated me and she was extremely friendly and asked all the right questions, as well as answering mine. She was also efficient, which was great.

I had purchased the 6 sessions for full body and paid directly with them. I strongly recommend going for consultation prior to purchasing because Linda allows you to customize your package depending on which areas you want to treat. Scheduling is easy and they send you reminder emails as well. I had a new technician each time I went but they’re all very nice. The wait time is no longer than 20 minutes and since I liked to take the earliest possible, I didn’t usually have to wait too long. They make you comfortable and chit chat while they do the work. They will draw lines on you and not all the technicians wipes off the chalk marks after treatment. I’d take a wipe and just do it myself. They’ve missed some parts at times but I just remind them and they’re happy to do it.
They used yag laser on me as I’m dark skin tone and my results were about 60% hair reduction. I will probably purchase another package to continue my treatments. They said they would honor the same price as before. Overall, I recommend them.

I went there for acne scar treatment about 2 months ago and I already see a big difference ! I’ve tried everything from dermatologist to all the acne skin care out there but this is only one thing that worked for me ! I use to wear layers of foundation and concealer and after only 3 treatments I wear only powder without concealer ! Staff is great and very professional, highly recommend for acne scar treatment !

Last week I woke up extremely sick and tried to cancel an appointment I had and they wouldn’t let me cancel without a penalty. Either pay a fee or give up sessions that you spend $$$ on. I have honestly never heard of anything like this in my life. Its rude customer service and will make me rethink buying more sessions here. Things come up in life that we can not control and to get a penalty for something that is uncontrollable is absurd. Change your customer service rules.

The reason for two stars is that although I did see some results on my treatments, the customer service is not that great. I have had 6 treatments for my full face, neck, and underarms from September 2015 till February 2016. So far very thin hair grows back.
Back to customer service… what you read about the estheticians here are true. I have had my laser treatments with different ladies every time I went to them, I never asked why I hadn’t had my treatments with the same person, but it seems odd that I get these treatments from different people that there is no followup of the treatments. All have really made me feel uncomfortable. They don’t really care to make the customer comfortable or feel welcomed, you just get your treatments done and that is it. The candela laser gets the job done, but I’ve been to salons that make you feel at home that I’ve switched to a salon that makes me want to come back for more.

I had decided to get laser hair removal and wanted to do a full body package. If you check GroupOn, there are millions of places in New York that offer laser hair removal packages and then millions more outside of GroupOn that provide the service as well.
I did my research, checked Unilocal reviews, went door-​to-​door to several of the «top» laser hair removal on my list and after all of that I decided on New You Laser. Why, you ask? Well… here goes…
1. Best Price Package
As I mentioned before, I checked GroupOn deals and called around to see what priced packages the different laser hair removal companies were offering. Most advertised a «full-​body» on GroupOn only for me to find out that full-​body was up to 5 or 6 areas (where one full leg is 2 areas, not cool). These companies would up-​charge for an actual «full-​body». New You Laser had the best, most competitive prices with respect to the full-​body package because their definition of full-​body is the actual full-​body.
2. Courteous and knowledgeable
Best of all, they are extremely friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. When I contacted them about their GroupOn deal, they had just sold out. They still offered me the GroupOn rate where other companies were like «see ya later sucker». On top of that, the technician that I had was extremely friendly throughout the laser hair removal process. She walked me through the steps in great detail, answered all of my (silly) questions, and helped brace me for the pain in some «delicate» areas. Also, shoutout to the receptionist because she is AWESOME! That woman always has an upbeat attitude (even when I call in a million times to schedule/​reschedule) and a huge smile on her face.
Note: I did not mention the outcome of the hair removal because that is not something the technicians can control. I see a lot of people complain about the success (or lack thereof) of their process and you should keep in mind that this is not guaranteed because each person and each body part reacts differently to the laser hair removal process. BUT if you must know, only after 1 session, I see a dramatic improvement in reduction of hair everywhere and no hair on my arms. I can’t wait to see what happens after 6 sessions.

Total game changer. Professional staff, completely clean waiting room and professional and patient staff person who provided the service. I’m so excited to see how the next 5 treatments go. Totally worth it and close to painless! To me, it doesn’t matter who provides my service because it’s all the same. This isn’t a hair cut or a facial where I need to have the same person each time. It all depends on your preference.

I’m sorry but this place just doesn’t do it for me, Linda is extremely unprofessional and does not take her customers privacy and requests seriously, I purchased a package through living social and have had 3 sessions so far but I have just been refunded the remaining balance by living social.
During each session I have had a different person each time, even though I’ve made requests 2 times, 1 time I requested linda (the owner) after having Myriam and not being too fond of her, the second time I requested Daniella after having Linda and not really liking her personality. This last time I’m done, why is it that Linda can’t keep a laser tech here for more than 3 weeks???
Then I was told that Linda talks about her customers about what happened during their laser session with her front desk staff, which is highly unprofessional and unacceptable not to mention she shares a space with another spa and the receptionist is a male and they are not discreet when checking you out so if you had a brazilian laser treatment expect the whole spa to know including whoever is waiting.
To sum it all up i wouldn’t chose this place simply because laser in a intimate service but not for this place you will expose your private parts to different person each time, Linda the owner will probably talk about you with the other employees, and if you are lucky enough get a technician you like you will never see them again… I would absolutely pass this one up no matter how cheap the sessions are.

This was a marvelous find. I truthfully don’t know where to start about my experience at New You. Starting on their friendly service and staff, they always send email reminders for when your next appointment is and always greet you with a smile at the door. But most important, I have tremendous results from their services and feel that my outcome was far more than what I payed (Brazilian and lip treatments)! Which now the hair growth is slim to none. New You results are absolutely life changing and the aestheticians definitely are knowledgable and more than competent. Never thought I’d have such a hassle removed from my life.

My last review was 2011, so it’s safe to say I don’t write them often. I saw the negative review about New You Laser, so I decided to write one. I just have a couple of things to say about that review. It looks like the business is fairly new; Linda was probably overwhelmed in the beginning of her business and forgotten a few things as she juggled to be the front desk and providing services. Why wouldn’t this customer speak to Linda about her dissatisfaction?
I am done with my 6 sessions. For my third session, I had to change the date, so I got Linda. As much as I like Miriam, I like Linda’s services more, so I added a new pkg for another area to be done. The lady at the front desk is always smiley and friendly; I believe it was a different lady when I was there the first time. I love that they send me a google calendar, it helps so much! I missed an appointment and I have to pay $ 45 to get it back. Good luck. :)

Everything about this place is good, so to make things simple, here’s a list:
1. Super close to the train, so no trekking around the city in bad weather.
2. Incredibly nice, responsible owner, Linda, who actually listens, takes feedback and is constantly improving her business.
3. The best laser technicians in NYC. (I’ve probably tried about 12 different places, and none even come close to Azita and Linda at New You). They’re fast, warm, efficient, and produce fantastic results with almost no pain.
4. Clean, quiet office.
5. Unbelievably affordable packages. If you’re not hairless yet, go here!

Honest review of each visit. I came here because Id done my research and the machine they use Candela is the best. I bought a 6 session package. Thank goodness its over!
1^st time — I was on time salon wasn’t open, waited on steps outside in cold. Linda was late and apologized. Once we were inside however she left me in the waiting room and called back clients for 25 mins whilst I sat waiting for my already late appointment. Her manner is very odd for customer service and feels more like your being shouted at by an old school teacher! I am definitely one of those people who will buy anything when backed in a corner and she started to tell me where I needed extra (even though I knew it doesn’t work on fair hair well) So I bought a package I didn’t need! You pay upfront.
2^nd time — waited for 40 mins and she didn’t even have the manners to tell me sorry for the wait, I asked if she had forgotten me, she one minute let me check. Again, no apology.
3^rd time. I forgot the appointment until 15 mins after, I live closeby so called to apologise and try and get there asap and she said my session was forfeit. At this point you have already paid for the package. I understand she’s running a business but since time management isn’t something she does well I thought we may have come to some agreement. So she waited 20 mins and I in total have waited an hour and 10 at this point? Hardly fair.
4^th time. New lady who was amazing! (marian) Didn’t wait at all. The relief I felt at having a lovely sweet person laser me was HUGE!
5^th time — New lady on reception who was very nice. I explained my situation to Marian and she managed to get me another appointment, and not forfeit, Maybe I wouldn’t have my 6^th is Linda was there?
6 th time. waiting currently still waiting… 35 mins. Another very lovely lady did this one. very professional.
Its a real shame to right this review since this isn’t a reflection on the lovely Marian (and new lady) who performs excellent Laser and is very sweet. But I have to give my honest feedback on my experience. I don’t want to dread my appointments for an already uncomfortable experience. The blatant rudeness to customers made me scared to go back no matter how good the offers.
And… Laser in one area that I originally went for worked well, but as I already knew the areas with fair hair haven’t worked at all, total waste of money and made the whole experience costly since I could have paid the same amount for many more sessions somewhere that you don’t dread going back to!

I’ve had 3 treatments so far at New You with Linda. So far my results have been amazing. They use the candela laser which is the best on the market right now. Linda worked with me to give me great pricing on my packages and is very thorough with the treatments; she never misses a spot. She’s very professional and has made my laser experience well worth it.

Great job. They are really thorough, and every technician I’ve worked with has been really sweet.

I purchased a Living Social deal for a small area and I had my first treatment yesterday on my chin. My esthetician, Miriam, was very sweet and quite knowledgable about treating my deep skin tone (which was even deeper due to some recent sun exposure). I’ve had a few other areas of my body treated by LHR (upper lip, underarms, bikini) but never with the Candela laser — let me tell you that this was one of the least painful experiences that I’ve ever had! The receptionist is very friendly and helpful as well. It’s a small place and it’s a little tricky to find (it’s on the corner of 7^th Ave next to a bar called Faces & Names), but overall I am happy with my experience.

Linda is amazing!
I bought my full body laser deal for $ 1000. After my 1^st treatment, the hair barely grew back. It started to fall off by 2^nd week and I had a lot of dark spots because of the slow hair growth. I am now few days away from my 2^nd treatment, but I barely shave or do anything with my hair. The laser is phenomenal — it works great.
I tanned a little bit and Linda said she should be able to change the wavelength. I am truly excited to see the results after 6 treatments.
The location is a bit tricky, but I was able to find them.
