Randomly found this place because I needed the bathroom. Ordered and had Amazing shepard’s pie!!! Made me remember my visit to Scotland! Even though it’s Irish.

Good atmosphere but terrible service. Couldn’t get my beer order right. Good nachos, awful fish n chips(fish is coated in half cooked corn meal). I wouldn’t go back.

I go to Niall’s to grab drinks with my co-workers for the convenience of the location. It is a very low key Irish pub. They have a backroom that has several booths and tables, so you could host a company event there(my company had a trivia night private event there before) or grab dinner with your friends there. Most people would stay in the bar area. A couple girls at my workplace used to come here to see the bartender Adrian, he’s very nice and those girls think that he looks like Gilles Marini, the guy who is in the memorable scene in the Sex and the City movie(taking a shower outdoor, just google it). I personally don’t think so, so I just come here to get reasonably priced drinks and food. I had the shepherd pie and fish & chips here before, they are not great, but good for bar food. They also have a couple TVs showing sports game at this place, so you could watch some sports with the boys while you are here. It’s a bar in midtown, so you see business people stopping by all the time. One time, I was here, this guy in suit and tie got so drunk that he fell off his chair(I don’t know the point of including this in the review, but for some reasons, that scene is stuck in my head :)). The bathroom is at the basement level, so you would have to navigate to that level by walking down a steep long set of stairs, so be careful when you are walking down tipsy, you could easily fall!

The only problem with Nialls is I can’t give it more stars. It’s deserves 10 stars and extra Emoji’s. This is not a just a pub, it’s a Haven, a place to meet up with friends and crush some cold ones. If only the Samuel Adams Brewing Company would come to their senses and stop their usury. But Niall will not be intimidated by threats and thuggery. Niall can also be quite entertaining when he comes out of his shell. He’s quite shy but an excellent DJ. Love the Green Leisure Suit! Also they have good Buffalo Wings and I’m from Buffalo so I’m an authority. Long live Niall!

Open late, food till 2 am … Fits the airline Life. Good atmosphere, Mr Nialls is a pleasure to converse with, music is good, plenty of TV’s(if you’re into TV), great beer selection, and the food is outstanding.

Great little bar right next to our hotel… not over crowed on a Friday was able to get a table with my girlfriend the waiter was great very attentive and timely with refills… local flair with music later in the night we left at 1030 and the musician was just getting set up… we order the nachos to munch on can’t say they where great to much chili beans(did see or taste any actual meat) if we had been buzzed they may of been better. Atmosphere is great very dark tho. great little neighborhood bar.

at the back of this pretty typical irish pub is a small dining area that is actually quiet and pleasant. the appetizers were middle of the road but the chicken pot pie was very warming and perfect for a cold-weather dinner. the food isn’t going to impress you particularly but it’s a nice watering hole if you are in the midtown area.

Night on the town at Niall’s! Service was great. The waitress was polite, quick, and had a wonderful smile that helped me forget how dead I feel inside. My friend and I split the chicken that was just a tad overcooked but was helped by the moist mashed potatoes underneath. Sarah loved mashed potatoes. Now my heart is the only thing mashed to a pulp. Food was a bit salty but that could have been my tears. 5⁄5 stars.

It’s ok. After work it’s fine… after 8:30 pm It’s time to take your butt home. The red hot chili peppers live set was cool but the music went downhill after that.(Unless you like bluegrass!) food was bar-ish and normal. The chipotle sauce is amaze though… It’s an afterwork spot. Never come here looking to like hang out too long, you’ll be disappointed.

I have just been here just for drinks and forgot my jacket. I have called right that moment they said I can come back next day and collect it and now they have misplaced. They gave me the no to call back them back but no one picks up on that #no. I guess I met the bar owner today morning and did not see him helping me out in any way or try to call the gal whom I spoke on the phone last nite. :(

Sunday night in late November. There were only a few diners there, but given the good reviews we expected a lot more, or at least a decent experience. We were greeted fairly promptly and got our beers. Ordered pretty basic stuff and took forever to get our food, and they left off my sons appetizer — which they bought as we were finishing up. I suppose if we’d argue they would have taken off the price but that isn’t who we are. Food was mediocre, servers not interested

Super welcoming and busy bar. Authentic as I recently returned from Ireland and I feel the same vibe. Lots of after work professional customers. The food smells great the guy sitting next to me ordered a beautiful chicken salad and wings. Both came out fast and smelled ffesh. Irish bartender adds to the ambiance. Fun local spot!

Easy going clean quiet Irish bar. Had a magners cider, and a blackened chicken sandwich. Perfectly cooked, great roll, fresh cut fries, butternut squash soup. Top notch food and crisp drinks. Great bartender that knows how to hold a conversation. Tons of bourbons and scotches to enjoy. I’ll definitely be returning when I’m in the area.

Went for lunch. The menu is pricey, but that’s understandable considering the rent in the neighborhood. Overall vibe was comfortable. Tuna club was pretty good, though the fries were over-fried. Free refills on soda were appreciated, but service was meh. Don’t like it when I feel like I have to be extra friendly in order to stay on the server’s «good side.» I would return.

I wanted a guiness, and he poured a perfect one at 2am. Love it! The bar is classic. Have no idea about food, because I came to drink. Perfect for that.

Considering its unfortunate location, Niall’s is far from terrible. We recently came here after work since a friend works in the area. Narrow-ish bar with a decent number of seats, along with some tables in the front and in the back. Typical Irish pub beer to choose from. Lots of bros feeling the need to YELL to have a conversation. TVs scattered around, most showing ESPN. Okay bartenders… Mine was nice but took a bit too long to get my change(which I mean isn’t really a big deal but come on). Overall, not a bad spot and most definitely better than some of the bars it is surrounded by in this part of town.

Pretty basic Irish pub in midtown to grab a pint during happy hour. Kind of a narrow bar area to sit at and have people constantly walk by and bump into you. Some flat screens with the game or ESPN on. Dark woodsy look, dim lighting, looks like it took a page out of the«build a generic Irish pub in NYC’ handbook. The standard Irish pub beer on tap in this kind of spot — Guinness, Harp, Blue Moon, Goose Island, Killians, etc. They serve food too which seems to get decent reviews from others here. Maybe next time as I just had a nice cold pint on my visit. Lots of collared preppy bro’s talking about dumb stuff before they head back to their bridge and tunnel lives in the burbs. For a midtown bar in a lame part of the city it’s not too bad.

As a final stop in our St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Niall’s was A-OK! Per my request since I had never had one before, we started out with shots of Baileys and Jameson dropped and then drunk quickly from half pints of Guinness. Because we had just eaten dinner, these were sort of like dessert, and tasty at that. We then continued with a final round of lighter pints and shots of Jameson before heading home. Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

I live in the neighborhood and I frequent Niall’s quite often. I would not be doing so if the food was not good. The staff is very friendly, service is good and I believe the food is better than average for pub food. I also believe you get good value in that when you weigh the quality of the food versus the price, I give it a thumbs up. I’ll keep coming back because it is a nice crowd of people, Niall is a gentleman, and I like the menus and the food.
