Specialties
North River Lobster Company is a floating lobster shack on the Hudson River! We offer fresh seafood, light fare, signature mason jar cocktails, buckets of beer and a raw bar boat. North River provides a laid back, casual atmosphere and even more casual ordering — we don’t offer reservations. Simply come in, pick from a wide variety of seafood staples, order with the bartender and grab a seat — then let New York become New England.
Hatched in 2014, North River Lobster Co. is a fresh new approach to casual seafood in New York City, from a floating lobster shack. The historical lobster palace inspired restaurant sought to fill the deficit of local fare in and around West 42nd Street and 12th Avenue. Enjoy the periodic half hour excursions around the Hudson on this functioning vessel while you dine and unwind.
Meet your new favorite happy hour in Hell’s Kitchen and finally treat NYC like an island. Welcome aboard.
History
Established in 2014.
When World Yacht first acquired Florida gambling boat Destiny, we really didn’t know her fate. Pun intended. Primarily utilized as a dinner and privately-chartered event boat since 2007, the Destiny underwent a major renovation beginning at the turn of Spring ’14. Bringing New England charm to a New York dinner cruise ship was no easy feat. In a short time, dedicated workers gutted the carpeted interiors, stylized the ceilings and wood-paneled the walls. With that, the North River Lobster Company was born.
