So good and fresh. The person selling was really nice too. It was busy. They had a long line. It smelled so good too

Hot sugary coated peanuts! Yum! Carts all around the city. Cheap little snack. Usually a stand right outside many subway stops and around the parks or high traffic areas. Always there, always reliable. Hard, warm, crunchy goodness. The smell is intoxicating and lure you to them. I have picked up a bag from this stand a few times before taking a walk in the park.
Peanuts, cashews, almonds, and coconut, but I always come back to the old standby — peanut. Just simple sugary sweet crispy joy.

Street food nuts, you can’t go wrong and it seems like a «must» when you’re in NYC, so I get honey roasted cashews and/​or pecans. Of course they’re gone before they get cold.

Good, but a Nuts 4 Nuts vendor near 6^th and 47^th tried to shortchange me. I doubt it was his first time trying to pull this crap. It was about 2am, and he probably assumed that I’d be passive or too tired/​drunk/​stupid at that hour. When I asked for the rest of my change, he raised his voice and tried to give me more peanuts to go away. When that didn’t work, he tried to bully me into accepting that the peanuts were more expensive than the $ 2 posted on the sign right in front of me. Um, no. I wanted the $ 10 he still owed me. I did eventually get it, but I had to take it out of his hand myself. If I hadn’t had a witness to the whole transaction, this vendor probably would not have let me walk away right after that. Get your snack fix elsewhere, unless you have exact change and/​or backup.

They truly are a must have. If you are a bargain hunter feel free to haggle with the vendors. I find that the more off the beaten path the car is, the better the deal you get. I am usually able to get peanuts for a dollar a bag in midtown if I buy a larger quantity of bags. The vendors in busy places (times square etc) are less likely to haggle.

Go nuts for nuts. This is a must every time I’m in NYC. I fattened myself up good on these nuts on each trip. Don’t forget to bargain for your nuts.

Great snack for munching on while walking around the city! $ 2 gets you a small bag of honey roasted peanuts that are definitely worth it!

I’m Nuts 4 Nuts! I had my first taste during my first visit to NYC a couple of years ago. When I returned this past week, Nuts 4 Nuts was one of the things that I was most looking forward to, I kid you not. Empire State Building? Nice view, but I wouldn’t be devastated if I didn’t see it a second time. Walking the Brooklyn Bridge? A must-​do, especially at sunset, but I wouldn’t feel compelled to do it more than once. Buying honey-​roasted peanuts from Nuts 4 Nuts at $ 1.50 for a toasty hot little bag? MUST DO OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Soooo freaking good!
I bought a bag of mixed nuts containing candied coconuts, almonds and cashews and ate the whole thing in one afternoon.
Now I’m back in San Diego and am beating myself up for not buying more bags to take home! Ahhhh! Stupid, stupid, stupid…

Recently, I went to New York for the first time. One thing I learned you have to eat in New York, is the «street-​nuts.» Nuts 4 Nuts food carts are all over Manhattan and you will know you are close to one when an overwhelming, but pleasant, smell of honey roasted nuts hits you.
It was no different with this establishment. Conveniently located at an entrance point into Central Park, it lets you choose from a variety of nuts: cashews, almonds and peanuts. I decided to go for a $ 2 bag of peanuts. Since I only had large bills I decided to pay with coins. I turned out to be two cents short, but that was okay with the friendly business owner. I received the bag of nuts anyway.
The nuts were delicious, but make sure you consciously enjoy them, because before you know it, you’re all out. Kudos to the strategically chosen location, friendly service and excellent products of this Nuts 4 Nuts franchise!
