Since moving to the area, this has been my go-to bagel shop! Food, bagels, pastries they are all on point. Morning and lunch rush can get pretty crazy but all the workers are working fast on getting all the orders out quickly.

So morning and lunch rush is pretty intense. The guys behind the sandwich counter know what they are doing. Price range… It’s to be expected for the area/neighborhood. They give a good amount of food and stuff your sandwiches to the brim. Definitely worth it.

I’ve been planning to stop by NY Bagels & Café for awhile now. It’s just down the block from my apartment and I pass it all the time! I decided to stop by this morning to check it out and pick up a bagel. I ordered just a plan whole wheat everything bagel. It was pretty good! I don’t love to toast bagels, so it’s really important that they taste fresh and are soft. This bagel was cooked perfectly! Good to know I have an awesome bagel store just down the street from where I live.

This place has the worst bagels in the city and it takes 25 min to make a simple breakfast sammy. The only reason this place thrives is due to a complete lack of competition. I have been here more than a dozen times and I loathe the place. No other options. And their excuse for a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese is a complete slap in the face. The place sucks.

Not much in the way of bagels around kips bays. Although this place is one extra avenue away from my apartment I have to make the trip for a great breakfast bagel and freshly squeezed orange juice. The guys behind the counter are friendly and at my more recent visit the cashier was kind enough to give me an extra bag for a few loose items I had on me. Bring cash as the credit card minimum is one you won’t hit for a bagel and coffee.

Simply love the wholewheat everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese. Delicious! These guys are super efficient, it’s amazing to watch them work through the orders.

I came here with family as a pit stop for breakfast in the morning. It’s like those typical deli shops. There was nothing special about it. The price is decent and the portion size is okay. The seating is limited — like 2⁄3 tables. This is like a grab-and-go type of restaurant. They do, however, have a freshly press squeeze orange juice machine.

Best spot in the area for bagels, salad, and soups. The only downside is it’s a little bit pricey and they’re inflexible on the $ 10 credit card minimum, even though I work across the street and come there all the time(and probably spend over $ 50/month there).

Fast, Efficient, Clean… This place does a great job for the commuter rushing to get their bagel and coffee. I got a bagel with eggs and cheese and it was good nothing special but the coffee was delicious. You wouldn’t expect great coffee from a place like this but it was.

This deli is like the shining star of Ford assembly line delis yo. Go in, yell out what you want to the many bros working, they give you a number, you wait patiently while they whip up your delicious delight in warp speed, pick out a bev and maybe some cheeeeeps, check out with the friendliest cashier I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and you are on your way! Not only did they make me a bomb good sammie(something like turkey, jack cheese, red peppers, avocado) but SOUP! Omg i love soup 365 days a year son! And they have like 6 to choose from!!! Man why can’t I have a place this grand near home. Super clean, fairly small and gets crowded but they namg out your order so fast you don’t mind chillin in line for 5 minutes.

Get the toasted whole everything bagel with scallion cream cheese! It was soo good and tender in the middle while crunchy on the outside. It also had a good selection of drinks to choose from and the menu offered many choices of breakfast sandwiches as well as a decent selection of drinks to choose from.

It’s the perfect quick satisfying breakfast/lunch spot. Has every type of bottled drink possible to choose from. And it’s not a fancy sit down, so it saves a little embarrassment when you come starving unshowered in sweats after a night of debauchery. So many choices of sandwiches, salads?, I don’t actually remember cause I was so focused on getting a bagel sandwich. They’re really well staffed which makes the wait time very short. Few tables available to eat your sandwich on the spot. And reasonably priced.

Best deli in this town, with the lines to prove it! The menu offers typical deli wraps and sandwhichs, so don’t expect the Grey poupon, althought, they may very well have that too! It gets very crowded here, especially with those med students padding around the nyu hospital. Why the 5? Because I had all my needs and expectations met and I was satisfied.

This place is as delicious as it is overwhelming. When you walk in you’re immediately confronted with a ridiculously large menu that’s divided into nonconsecutive menu numbers with randomly selected things displayed on a TV that has space for 5 items. Don’t panic, here’s what to do: Get in the back against the tables so you don’t piss anyone off. Decide on your bread(«vessel») first: wrap, bagel, or other. Then, choose your meat. Once you’ve decided on these two things, you’ve narrowed your sandwich down to about 3 choices, the only difference between them being a second meat. Tell your sandwich order to the loudest guy yelling at you. Get your sandwich from the second loudest guy yelling at you. Go to the front where the lady is yelling at you to pay. I got the NY turkey wrap with whole wheat and took out the bacon and peppers. This thing was executed perfectly; nothing fell out as I ate it and I had nearly all the ingredients in every bite. I’ll definitely be back every couple of weeks to get yelled at again! P. S. Apparently, their clam chowder is insanely good.

Seven bucks and change gets you a decent size bowl of greens(pick from your choice of three kinds, I got spinach) one main topping and two side toppings. For my main, I got grilled chicken, though there were also options like craisins. I like craisins almost as much as the next guy, but to get a salad full of them seems intense. For the other side toppings I got mushrooms and green peppers. I’ll agree that they are generous with the toppings, but it seemed kind of weird to me to only get a ton of a few toppings. I’d much rather get four small toppings rather than two large ones for the same price, but it wasn’t an option. The people were nice, and the salad tasted fine, but it was all pretty average.

great, expansive menu that provides timely delicious food. easily the best place around the medical center. I frequent the medical center and I usually go here for something quick and easy for lunch. I’ve been going there for almost 4 years and the staff have always been incredibly friendly.

New England Clam Chowder. .DOIT! This place is right by my job. Its my go to spot for breakfast and lunch. They have a wide variety of food choices and everything tastes delicious that I have had thus far. Im totally addicted to their soups though. There’s always a daily choice of about 6 different soups, which change on a regular basis. My personal fav is the New England Clam Chower, Sweet Corn Chowder and the Cream of Chicken soup. But they are all warm goodness in your tummy and you cant go wrong with any choice. During breakfast & lunch hours when it’s at its busiest I have never had to wait a long time for my food or to pay for my items. The cooks and cashiers are fast and friendly.

You’re in NYC, it’s a beautiful Saturday morning and you’re ready to take it easy. There’s no better breakfast I can imagine than a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a fresh everything bagel. This place is the perfect place to get said sandwich. On my last trip to the city, I stayed with my boyfriend and this place was across the street. Over my weeklong vacay, I ended up there three times, both out of convenience and pure enjoyment. The workers are the kind of people you want to come across in the morning, smiling, friendly and maybe making jokes if you seem in the mood. There are plenty of food options including egg white and veggie combos if you’re watching your figure. The market itself has a wide array of protein bars, drinks, candies, chips and other snacks, making it an affordable one stop shop if you’re around this hood.
