NYC Points Acupuncture

I have been going to NYC Points Acupuncture since December 2015 and thankfully my insurance covers it. I have been to Jamie once, and then I having going Imani. She has been great. She is very calm and attentive, and I am definitely seeing improvements in my situation.

I randomly found NYC Points on Unilocal and after seeing good reviews figured I’d give it a try since they accepted my insurance and was close to the office. The staff are attentive to clients’ needs and always pick up the phone almost instantly. Not only are the 2 locations conveniently located but they have extensive hours to cater to the needs of working individuals. I have only been to the East side location and it is very clean, modern and smells good. I haven’t been to the West side location but have no doubt it’s comparable. If that’s not enough, what really makes NYC points worth going to is Incredible Imani. I was initially scheduled with Imani for an appointment and did I luck out. Imani is no ordinary clinician. She is kind, sweet, patient and caring but most importantly a calming presence. If that’s not enough she’s a Jackie of all Trades. I first learned she does Reiki and she respectfully asked if I was interested. A few sessions later when I was having some back spasms she included a mini massage at the end of the treatment. She is excellent at all that she does and I always look forward to a session with her.

I was visiting NYC for business and had some symptoms right before an important speech. I found Jonathan on Unilocal and was so grateful that he squeezed me in that day. Within 24 hours of my treatment, I felt much better. I would highly recommend him!

I agree with past posts. A very solid place and very fairly priced. I have bad shoulder pains and have tried many acupuncture places and this is one of the few that seems to have an affect. Mind you, they do practice japanese style which is very different from chinese style so each style has a different effect on each individual. I was hesitant at first because I am use to chinese acupuncture but I was pleasantly surprised by the japanese style, and they do it well. I have seen jamie 3x and she was very helpful (a little to fast to diagnose treat but it could be just because she’s that knowledgeable and good).

Very simply a solid place.
The only treatment, coupled with herbs, that’s actually helping me get better.

Just completed my first appt with the team at NYC Points. I feel great. I walked in with severe shoulder pain, joking about hacking off my arm to avoid the radiating nerve pain down my left arm! I walked out feeling great, the pain is gone. One of the best acupuncturist i have seen, AND they took my insurance!
Go…now…it will change your life.

I like Jonathan a lot, but Chinese is more effective for me that Japanese.

I am so grateful that I found this acupuncture practice. My insurance only covers a couple of acupuncture practices in Manhattan and this one happens to be right near my office. All of the practitioners are very experienced and knowledgeable. They take the time to really talk to you about your health issues. I am so relieved I found them and I will never go anywhere else!

I’ve gone to 3 other acupuncturists and from my first visit I knew this would be a very different experience. Dr. Simon is pleasant, extremely knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. The office offers a pleasant and calming atmosphere, unlike other offices that were quite noisy, making it almost impossible to relax. Since coming to see Dr. Simon I have noticed my hormones are more in balance and I feel great! My sessions are definitely one of the highlights of my week. Additionally, Dr. Simon is one of the very few acupuncturists that is in network with my insurance which I am told is not an easy task as they are very selective. This strengthens my confidence that I’m in great hands.

I was having nausea and abdominal pain so severe that I couldn’t eat, exercise or sometimes carry on a conversation. I was miserable. Over the course of two months, I saw a total of 5 doctors, all with different specialties, and yet all the tests came back the same– inconclusive. I was otherwise healthy, but my stomach was attacking everything I ate, and I was so weak from the lack of nutrition, I could barely walk up stairs. None of my doctors advised me on what was happening or what could possibly be happening or even what could help me temporarily; they just threw out a few diseases as keywords and scheduled more tests. I was exhausted from scouring WebMd, spending money and all my time in doctors’ offices and all the while feeling helpless. So when I saw the GiltCity voucher, I pounced. I am continuing my sessions as I am still recovering and getting stronger by the day, but cannot stress enough that if you are having GI issues, you should look nowhere else than Jonathan Simon at NYC Points Acupuncture. It will change your life.

Ever since I was 18 years old I constantly battled migraines. I had seen neurologists, chiropractors and headache specialists but none of them could help. In August of last year it got so bad that I had 5 migraines in a week and decided it was time to try something else. In the past people suggested acupuncture but I was always skeptical. After doing some research I found NYC points online. I originally was planning on using group-​on to book my appointment but to my surprise they took my insurance and I was covered for visits.
I went through a consultation with Jennifer and I knew this would be something that could work. Jennifer is great not only does she treat you but she goes out of her way to explain exactly why she is treating you a certain way. I was scheduled for weekly appointments early on and now I go monthly. Thankfully since I began going in August 2010 I have not experienced one migraine. I can say without a doubt that Jenn and NYC points have changed my life. Migraines were a major deterrent to me since alcohol and chocolate were common triggers. If you are suffering from migraines I can find no reason why you shouldn’t give it a shot.

I agree with the above poster. They are all great. Pleasant and straightforward. I was terribly afraid of needles until i started having acupuncture. Jon is brilliant. i barely feel the needles going in and I feel so light and relaxed after my sessions. His acupuncture sessions have really helped me.
