One Medical Group

I’m sorry I have to give One Medical Group a poor rating. Like a previous reviewer for another office at One Medical I was initially excited about One Medical. I think they follow in the path of our colleges these days. All glitz and a spa like atmosphere without the depth. I will give them points for their billing and being up to date on it which was a problem at my last clinic. My Doctor there retired. And I liked him. I just disliked the staff so I’ve been on a search to find a new internist. I recently went to One Medical for a Physical. It was by far the least comprehensive physical I have ever had in my life. On top of it being one of the few things my insurance actually pays for (except the blood tests, of course) here’s a list of things that I didn’t have done which in the past were on my Physicals: No EKG (even though I told the doctor there was a family history of heart problems), no urine test, No actual physical height measurement, no prostrate exam (not the most pleasant thing for sure), no hearing test or chest x-​ray. These are all things in the past that were part of my physical. I questioned the urine test and the prostrate exam and was given explanations as to why that was not done. Also the nurse (a nice woman) on duty had problems drawing my blood. I’ve never had that happen before. I left thinking accept for drawing my blood I could have done my own physical at home. Maybe I’d pass on that Prostrate exam though. This was a big disappointment for me. Nice office/​waiting room though and front desk people as others have mentioned. I’m on the search again. Any suggestions? I also visited their office near the Public Library for Travel shots which went well.
I’m editing my first review to add another note. As I mentioned earlier I told the doctor (whose name I’ve decided not to list) that my twin brother has had two heart operations and yet I was not given an EKG during the physical. I also told her that I have had attacks of gout and yet she did not order a Uric acid test for my physical either. I recently returned from an extended trip to the east where I got a severe attack of gout. Luckily I was able to go to a clinic in Singapore to get some medication. Cost for Dr visit and medication. 25 dollars. Someone, a doctor I know, told me to request the physicians notes on my visit to her. Also counting up the blood and urine tests from my previous physicians physical there were 59. For One Medical Groups tests (there was no urine test) the total was 25. Perhaps this is an example of the new streamlined medical care we should expect from a ’boutique’ service. I’m moving on.

Love this office. Great view and the usual superb treatment from one medical. No wait times, book using the app, etc. The building is a little easy to get lost the first time you go.

The absolute best. Easy appointments, nice office, pleasant providers. More importantly, though, is the integrated care. Dr. Thaler is phenomenal. Took 30+ minutes to spend with me to go through a fairly complicated medical history + GI issues I’d been having. Came up with a reasonable plan of action that I agreed with that struck a good balance between scans/​testing as well as making some dietary changes. Really just such a pleasant experience overall. Their phlebotomists are all great as well!

For 50+ years, I’ve been going to doctors’ offices. This is the nicest office I’ve ever been in. Unless I move or die or there’s some serious malpractice. I will never change. This is all based on only one visit. After my visit, I received an email follow up from the doctor and we had an additional helpful quick exchange. That’s the first time I’ve ever received a real email (not automated) from a doctor. How amazingly 21^st century!

My faith has been restored in medical practices. One Medical a Group takes patient care to another level. The front office staff is wonderful! They are knowledgeable and determined to ensure that every patient has a great experience. The offices are beautifully and impeccably clean. Definitely does not resemble a typical doctors office. The medical staff is amazing. They are all patient and very smart. None of them use a cookie cutter approach. My favorite is. NP, Jenna Katz. I saw her for the first time and she is out of this world. My appointment lasted for 45 mins, that’s unheard of in today’s world. Thorough does not describe her and her genuine concern is more than obvious. Amazing bed side manner. I started to feel like I was with an old girlfriend. If you’re looking for great doctors, a relaxing experience with quick and easy, this is the place to go.

For me, the small yearly membership fee is 100% worth it. It has changed the way I feel about going to the doctor. The office is beautiful, everyone is friendly and helpful, and they keep their promise of starting appointments ON TIME. After years of terrible, lazy, and late doctors in NYC, this place has made going to the doctor a pleasant experience. I no longer miss meetings and work due to late doctors, or feel like I haven’t had my questions answered. They are the gold standard of doctors. I cannot recommend them enough.

After a 23 year absence from Manhattan, I had to find new doctors. I went online
to find a group I could rely on for everything. The reviews for ONE Medical Group
seemed very positive, including one from the NY Times. I went to the ONE site
to select a primary care doctor. Though all looked qualified, I am very selective.
I am a lawyer who has seen many malpractice suits and also the former wife
of a doctor. I know the selection of a doctor can impact your life in many ways.
I chose Malcolm Thaler at the Columbus Circle office. He is Yale undergrad and Yale medical School. He is very intelligent, well trained, patient, kind and thorough,
When I did need to see a gynecologist, cardiologist and an orthopedic
specialist, he referred me to 3 top notch doctors in their fields, all within
2 blocks of his office with whom I felt very comfortable.
I highly recommend ONE Medical Group.

The front office professionals are are super-​warm and helpful. The 18^th floor waiting room is modern, full of comfy chairs you would find in a sleek living room and is anchored by a sweeping north-​east facing view of Central Park and endless sky.
My doctor is described on the website as having excellent bedside manner and indeed that is the case.
My two appointments thus far have started on time and the doctor is calm, focused (on me) and clearly has time to read my history and remember who I am.
For the first time ever I feel like a human who is being cared for by an entire team that is well-​organized and passionate about changing how medical care is delivered as well as capable of living up to their promise.
Well worth the membership fee!

One Medical Group offers unparalleled customer service when it comes to doctor’s offices. Though they charge a yearly membership fee, it’s worth it because you have access to same day appointments, personalized care, medical reports and prescriptions via email, and much more. They are also great with last minute appointments, which is super convenient in this city. The offices are also beautiful, modern and cozy. I go to Dr. Rachel Garcia who is new on the team and she is very sweet, sincere, and thorough. The receptionists and lab nurses are great too.

One Medical was as good as advertised. The appointment started right on time and did not take long, though it never felt hurried. I had all my questions answered, and got even more information via email after my doctor further researched some of my questions. Really great to have a relaxed atmosphere and great customer service. The fact that I was able to go into the office and never touch one piece of paperwork was great. Got detailed report and analysis of lab work emailed to me. The annual fee is definitely worth the amount of service you get.

Just had my first appointment at One Medical. Very impressed overall with how easy and thorough everything was. Highly recommend.

It really doesn’t get better than this. As some other people have noted of other OMG offices, I’m not 100% sure I’d go here if I had a rare disease I couldn’t identify on my own, but for general medical needs, this place is awesome. In fact, when travelling to India, I simply went to the website, filled out a form, they automatically emailed me back about what I would need (with a few follow-​up questions) and voila, one day later I had prescriptions waiting at the pharmacy and I could come by anytime for a booster immunization.
Recently, I went in for an annual physical and the doctor made some health recommendations and did extensive blood work after I mentioned I hoped to be pregnant by the end of the year. I love this place.
