I recently helped organize a dinner for 65 people(conference) and had an excellent experience with the folks at Pad Thai Noodle Lounge. Thawatchai(who also is connected with Topaz Noodle Bar) was incredibly professional and answered all of my questions honestly and promptly. He helped me plan out a menu that would meet the needs of a variety of folks, including vegans, as well as those with peanut and/or egg sensitivities(I never would have thought of this had he not brought it to my attention!) I had numerous questions and he always responded in a courteous manner. Unfortunately, due to extenuating circumstances that had nothing to do with Pad Thai Noodle Lounge, we had to shift our dinner venue and consequently we never ordered from them. That said if I am responsible for organizing a large dinner in the future, I will definitely call Pad Thai Noodle Lounge based on their outstanding customer service, and would suggest them to others in the future! Thank you Thawatchai for all of your help!

I have hungover AF at work and was stressing about where I would get my papaya salad from(see my Sage review, we’re in a fight) I finally got a break at work and stumbled on this place right around the corner! I got there at 3:55 and there was a note on the door saying they’ll close from 4 – 5 that day, I still went in and they let me order food to go– AMAZINGLY papaya salad, best pad Thai I’ve found in awhile(tofu on point!) and even offered to give me my Thai iced tea while I waited. they were so nice and it was quick and I am so happy, definitely my new go-to when in the city!

I’ve passed by this place a bajillion times. Their décor always sparked my interest, yet every time I walked by, there never seemed to be anyone in there dining. I decided to venture into the Pad Thai Noodle Lounge on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I was by myself and was desperately craving Pad See Eww. Actually, I was pretty hungry and was just craving food. There were a few other people in the space dining by themselves, so I was kind of digging that vibe. Service was quick and the staff was awesome. They start out with these complimentary chip, airy, pork rind texture type of something. It came with a peanut based sweet sauce. That was delicious(given the fact I don’t like peanut sauces). My pad see eww came out shortly after the complimentary chip things. It was a pretty big portion(and I shamefully devoured it all). The flavor was ok, it wasn’t spot on. I have already established the best Thai food in New York, so I just KNEW it wasn’t going to top Joya’s(Brooklyn) Pad See Eww. It was just — ok. I can’t really brag about it. For the record, I did sop up every bit of food on the plate(the hunger cravings, y’all — don’t judge), but I would love to try something different my next visit. It’s convenient, fast and affordable. My meal came out to $ 13 bucks. I can’t complain.

Cheap lunch special(appetizer and entrée for $ 7.95) but not the best quality and small portions. I had the papaya salad which was served in what looked like a tea cup– fresh but had little taste, and the ginger chicken for my entrée which was quite plain although good mix of veggies. Come here for the low price, not necessarily for the food.

Decent food with cozy seating that is good for a date night. Prices are pretty reasonable and the Fancy noodle with chicken is a nice version of a green curry with noodles. The stir fries are solid as well. Overall, nothing amazing but certainly no complaints. Service is no-frills but the food comes out quickly.

Casual and modern, dimly lit thai restaurant for an inexpensive dinner. The food did take a while to come out even though it was half empty, but when it did it wasn’t bad. The crab rangoon, was excellent and the rest of the food was decent/ok. This place won’t light your socks on fire but at the price I wouldn’t complain too much.

Cute and cozy Thai restaurant in the heart of Chelsea! As I restaurant hopped during lunch hours in the area I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Everywhere else was packed to the max, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt trying this place out! What caught my eye was the lunch specials. During lunch hours they offer a pick two lunch menu for under $ 10. That includes one appetizer and one main course. I liked the fact that the menu gave you plenty of options and I went with spring rolls as my appetizer and the Pad Thai chicken noodles as my main course. The service was pleasant and the food came out very quickly. I would consider this place to have decent Thai cuisine! The main course portions are perfect for lunch. I will be back again.

Very bland Thai food. Came here for lunch and they were super busy. Wanted to go to the other Thai food restaurant on 8th ave, but they were shut down or remodeling. Ordered Tom Yum soup with shrimp. No like juice, so it lacked the tangy flavor. Red Curry was just bleh. Three shrimp and various random vegetables. The Thai iced tea was good, but very underwhelmed overall. Guess the lunch special prices are reasonable. Just very picky about my Thai food.

Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Service was ok. The waitress never came around to ask if we needed anything, but it’s a small space so it was easy to flag someone down if we needed.

Came here with a friend for a spontaneous cold winter workday lunch. I’ll start off by saying if you can try to get a table away from the door during the winter. I will mention that the staff does try to keep the door closed since people who come in leave it without making sure it closes behind them. I did notice that they were rated ‘B’ by the DOHMH which is the only reason why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. We ordered lunch and the appetizers that came with the lunch were small, but delicious. I had the spring rolls and my friend had the fried dumplings. I ordered the chicken pad Thai, my friend ordered the basil fried rice with chicken. Both of us were extremely impressed, and said we will definitely be back. The service was good, although it did take a while for the servers to give us a check, and a while to come take our credit cards. That was more weird to me than inconvenient. The price for lunch was solid, $ 20 and total for both lunch orders and 1 can of Sprite. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone craving Thai in the 14th street/8th avenue area.

The place looks nice. The food was ok, but not great. The Pad Thai was the best we got.

On a cold Saturday, I waltzed in with a friend, stuck around to admire those beautiful hanging lamps. Ordered a simple 2 items, the noodle dish was lackluster, the appetizer had a superfluous dollop of mayo. Why the hell does one need mayo over chilli sauce, sweet chilli sauce to be exact? While the food was decent enough to nyc standards, read barely passable, service is beyond ridiculous. why do I have to wait over 10 minutes for a server to come collect payment? Forgetfulness, subpar food, neglectfulness makes this a pass

Always fast and delicious. The best lunch deal out there! Everything’s good here but especially drunken noodle and the curry! I often order through Unilocal since it’s way easier. Highly recommend!

The first red flag when we popped in is that the place was only two fifths full at 6 pm and that we were the only Asian diners. I ordered the Pad Woosen — the noodles tasted a bland for my taste but they did give us chili powder upon request. Not very juicy or flavorful. The portion size was small for $ 11, so after some intense deliberation(we both are escorts renting a place for a few nights nearby lol) I decided to order what my partner had — pad thai — portion size was better but the noodles were kind of dry. I’ve had much better Thai food near Columbia University, and that district already caters to white people, lol.

Great lunch takeout! Ordered this place once on seamless and It’s now my go-to place. The lunch deal is excellent, the pad thai delicious and the wonton soup I have never tasted one so fresh! Also the fried tofu is excellent :)

Thai food is delicioso! I like most dishes but had never tried the fried rice(how is that possible?! dunno) The young waitress recommended the dish when I came here for lunch. They had a lunch special menu outside, apparently it included an appetizer so I chose the spring rolls. While this is not an establishment that gives huge portions, it was SO Tasty! I was happy with the flavor and the amount of food. The décor inside is casual but oh so cool! Its clean! The people working were very nice! Maybe its because they have lived in the Midwest(Midwestern Charm) enjoy lunch here and then continue your ventures in the city!

Don’t think if it’s because I got delivery but the food was cold when I got it and the napkins were all wet. I ordered the lunch special pad see ew with crab ragoons and shrimp tom yum soup. They have a $ 10 delivery minimum, my noodles came out to 9.41, they made me order something else so I got the soup. The shrimp Tom yum soup was tasted like water and pepper, the crab ragoons was just fried cream cheese and the noodles were plain. The pad see ew consisted of noodles, chicken, broccoli and egg– the noodles were hard, the chicken was overcooked, the broccoli was hard and tasted bitter and their egg was burnt. So everything that could’ve went wrong with the meal… went wrong. Last time I order from here

Definitely found some tastiness here. We were walking along 8th avenue and saw the menu outside, we said why not, that food sounds good on a Saturday. We were greeted by friendly faces and excellent customer service, our questions were answered and we were ready to order. We ordered the Chicken dumplings, drunken noodle and Pad Thai noodles. As we waited for our order to come out, we were served some awesome colorful chips. Drunken noodle — spicy but so tasty Chicken dumplings — amazing appetizer Overall great experience and I can’t wait to come back for more

I was happy to find this place around the corner from my hotel. $ 10 for a large portion of Pad Thai Chicken in NYC is a deal. Good flavors! The $ 3 happy hour beer is really cold and nice. There’s a pushy older woman who really ruined my second visit for my trip — I hope you don’t get her as your waitress. They really need to vacuum the dust off the hanging light bulbs — it’s kinda gross.

We stumbled upon this place after seeing the insane line for the grey dog café. We were hungry and walked from Times Square so we didn’t feel like waiting for a chance at a seat. This place is cute, relaxing and good. We went at 2:25pm and it was pretty quiet. Plus you can’t beat 7.50 for a Thai lunch special, especially in NY! So why the heck not? Yes the portions are on the small side(but really what do you expect for this price. Americans make me laugh). This is a normal portion in Europe and you’d pay much more. Was it the best pad Thai I ever had? No. But it was pretty good. The hubby really liked his plate and spring rolls. The laid back atmosphere with an open view of NYC’s Google building was an another added plus to lunch. All in all: Eat here and enjoy!
