Good food at reasonable prices. We had a party of 9 for dinner, and they sat us in the back patio. It was perfect, great ambiance and secluded, you don’t feel like you’re in the city. Food was great, the shrimp tacos were my favorite. The pitchers of margaritas were generous and at a great price. Mango margarita was just okay, wasn’t as fruity as I had hoped. Overall we had a great experience. Definitely recommend.

Horrible service! Went on a Wednesday night and sat in the garden with a friend and we were completely ignored by the waiter and waitress!!! Mind you, there are five other patrons in the garden area and all the others were waited on. Can’t keep up with seven people? It sucks because I spilled salsa on my menu and needed napkins but no one ever came over also drinks are weak if not completely virgin! Be weary

So I might be biased, since my first date with my wife was here(too many years ago). But this is some of the better Tex-Mex you’ll find in New York City. The Asada Burrito with grilled beef is incredible — a gigantic burrito packed with really good beef, and high quality salsa, rice, beans, guac, sour cream, etc. I usually find that the burrito is so large that I can’t even eat it by hand; I’ll wind up tackling it with a fork and knife instead. I also really enjoy their free chips and salsa, and the attentiveness with which the waiters refill the chips and salsa. High quality Tex-Mex has always been a weak spot in NYC’s cuisine, but Paquito’s is a welcome respite from most of the mediocre Tex-Mex in this town.

DONTGOHERE! It’s truly a waste money for the weakest mexican I’ve ever had. Got the stupid Maria burrito and an order of nachos I didn’t even want nachos but since they had a ten dollar minimum I had to get something else and plus I was getting take out so I thought I’d share with my friend little did I know the nachos would be completely flavorless and soggy I was embarrassed to bring around such weak nachos to my friends apt I woulda bought 3 cans of soda if I had only known and my burrito what the fuck was that I couldn’t even hold it it had some sorta open back dress on so if I were to go about picking it up all the contents would spill out I had to use a knife and fork you don’t eat a burrito with utensils and I might of as well been eating a wet sock oh the hot sauce was a joke. Just don’t go here.

I love Paquito’s. I wish I were there right now. But instead I’m at a desk typing away at a keyboard, daydreaming about their enchiladas. I’ve never had anything here that I didn’t like and I’ve been through most of their menu. The restaurant has two sides — the smaller, mostly takeout side that has just a few small tables and chairs and the restaurant side with the outdoor patio. Their food is delicious and the prices are just right. Great for small or large groups and the atmosphere is nice but casual. Good margaritas, too. I’d recommend the asada burrito or enchiladas suizas. Definitely try this place if you want filling, inexpensive Mexican food. Tell them Rosa sent you. It won’t get you any discounts and they won’t know who you’re talking about but… nevermind. Don’t do that.

Stopped in for their weekday tow course lunch special which they advertised for $ 10. The margaritas were about $ 4. Food: For the first course I chose the soup of the day option which was fish soup. Served very hot with big chunks of potatoes and big pieces of salmon. A bit fishy but still very good. For the main course I ordered the chicken burrito which had a very good good flavor and the melty slightly stringy cheese was a nice surprise. The chicken looked like it was pan grilled and the rice had a nice flavor. Margarita: Their frozen margarita was made fresh and not as Syrupy sweet like other places but still a bit too sweet for me. Service: The young who waited on all the table and counter customers as well as made the drinks was very accommodating. Replaced the salsa bowl and just plain pleasant. Will be back.

They have great vegetarian options. I got a giant margarita + great veggie mole enchiladas for ~$ 20. My friend found a chicken bone in her chicken wrap, however.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would! With 14 people, finding a place to accommodate us on a Saturday night in NYC was no easy task. My friend that lives there chose this place because she said it was the closest to NC «authentic» Mexican she had found in NYC. She talked them into extending the happy hour deal for us since we were bringing a large group. The place doesn’t look like much, but it was quite a cozy atmosphere and they arranged the tables so it would be easiest for us to talk to each other. I cannot say enough good things about our server Juan. I think he was pretty new as he didn’t know the menu very well but he was as friendly and patient as could be. Most servers do not go out of their way with such a large group that they now is getting auto-gratuity, but he kept our drinks refilled, made recommendations on the drinks and menu and even brought out shots for our friends birthday! He was pleasant and quick though the entire meal. I started with the side salad as my appetizer and it was great before a big meal. I forgot the name of the dish I ordered, but it was a quesadilla with shrimp, asparagus, spinach, and some other things. Kind of a weird combo, but all of the things I love! Everyone’s portions were huge and everyone in our group really enjoyed our meal. Even the salsa was exceptionally good. The margaritas were a little sweet for my tastes, but pretty strong. All in all we had a great experience and I highly recommend for large groups.

Ordered fajitas with grilled chicken. METALSTAPLE in food. Called restaurant and person who answered must’ve had a stroke mid-conversation because he forgot how to speak English after this was mentioned. His phone also broke mid-conversation cause it was disconnected and no one picked up afterwards.

I was randomly roaming this area this past week and was in need of fuel for the machine. A happy hour special was in effect when I stopped in, I believe it is from 4−7pm everyday. Don’t let the front dining area deter you, because at 6:30pm, there was nare a soul to be found in the front, the place looked dead. But the secret is in their backyard garden. Beautiful space in the back and seemed like all the patrons were darting back there immediately. I sidled up to the bar and asked if happy hour was still going on and yes, the Gods were smiling on me. And for $ 6, you have a choice of sangria, mojito or margarita. The margarita was a very decent size, tasty and well made. While I was peering over the menu, a nice waiter brought me over some chips and salsa, on the house! At 6:50pm, because I am an opportunist, I asked the barmaid to make me another margarita and ordered a quesadilla with jalapenos. They are also sides of cactus too, interesting. And by 7:20pm, my bellly was full, my brain swimming in endorphins and the dent in my wallet was only $ 20. You really can’t beat that here in NYC. Two large-size margs, FREE chips and salsa, and a very delicious jalapeño quesadilla all for a mere $ 20. Also, they have quite a few vegetarian options, so you didn’t feel like you had to be creative to make your meal. Now, I was ready to take on whatever the night had in store for me. Thanks Paquito’s for being a friendly place, with decent drinks, food and low traffic. These days the people here are just getting to me…

Unassuming Mexican joint with the best enchiladas in New York City. I’ve been going to Paquito’s for years now and just came back after a brief hiatus to find nothing has changed. Nice to know some things in the city can remain consistent, delicious and unbelievably cheap without sacrificing quality. Pro tip: Come here after a night of drinking and be instantly cured.

After walking around the area for about 20 minutes looking for a good happy hour we finally stumbled upon this place. The place was completely dead at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday. We were pleasantly greeted and seated promptly. They have a cute outdoor patio/bar and indoor seating as well– very cute Mexican décor. $ 6 frozen margaritas during happy hour. We tried all 4 flavors but the Mango & passion fruit were my fav. I had the enchiladas with sweet plantains on the side and omg it was sooooo good. The plantains were the best I’ve ever had! The BF got a burrito and of course I ate half of it… It was delicious and huge. Our waiter Juan was excellent– very personable & friendly. I would def recommend this place to all my fellow Unilocalers!

Horchata tasted strange but it’s ok. Meals are decent — My shrimp quesadilla was very delicious. It would be really nice to eat in the back yard in the summer.

Decent Mexican food at decent prices. We go here a lot because they are part of the Delta Skymiles dining program. I like the camarones de la diablo. The margaritas are pretty decent. Go in the summer and drink out back in the garden.
