Patrick Melville Salon

I went to Patrick Melville today to get my eyebrows done by Julie Tussey. I had heard wonderful things about her work and was intrigued. Julie did not disappoint and greatly exceeded my expectations. She tweezes (no wax) and is very, very diligent; she uses lights and magnifiers to make sure every single hair is precise. For a little extra, she will tint your brows which makes them fuller and more prominent. I know a lot of women are inclined to just go the local $ 7 thread place and shy away from professional brow experts who are more expensive. But I’m telling you — it’s all worth it! Julie is a wizard at her craft and I will now be a regular in her chair.

Had a beautiful haircut today from Gina K. My hair is fine, thin and wavy. In other words, difficult to do anything with. Gina worked a miracle! I highly recommend her.

I called in a panic today following a rather questionable hair cut elsewhere. The receptionist was great, she listened to my ramblings and managed to get me a last min apt with Gina.
The salon was very chilled out and the staff super friendly — can’t fault them at all.
Before Gina got started she took time to understand what I disliked about my current hair cut and explained exactly what she would do to fix it.
I LOVE my cut and can’t thank her enough! Safe to say I have found my new hairdresser!

I followed Karen here from Ted Gibson and so, so glad I did. First off, this salon is ridiculously easy to get to. Secondly, they’re super low key and really friendly. I called in a panic on Wednesday am after a disastrous color experience. I was a fool and took the offer from Ted Gibson to get a free treatment since Karen had left. Lesson learned: never cheat on your colorist. Karen fixed me up right away and now I love my hair again. She is a genius with color. See my old reviews for her for proof.

I scheduled an11 o’clock appointment for a haircut. I arrived ten minutes early and at 11, the receptionist came over to me and said Bruce would be there in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, I got up and said I was leaving. I had driven in from westchester, paid for parking, gas, and tolls and I was on time. To start your workday at 11:00 and not be on time is unacceptable. Doctors can get away with it but a hairstylist? The receptionist only offer was to have someone else cut my hair. I doubt this would have happened if I was famous.

I recently saw RICK for highlights= beautiful, shiny, natural-​looking color, and BRUCE for haircut= modern yet classic style. End result: I’m a very happy customer, and received several compliments on the new ‘do, thanks PM salon!

You fully get what you pay for, very solid and satisfied, only salon I go to. Very fair, honest, friendly.

for color… jeffery is great and so is rick! for girls with dark hair wanting to go lighter and have it look natural and not streaky fake weird– this is the place to go! lots of salons have messed this up but PM knows how to do it right! cassandra does awesome blow outs and is also a talented cutter. love them!

Just had my hair done with Rick for the first time… I’m in love. Seriously. I only went in for a color so that’s all I can really comment on but the whole place seemed like it was filled with awesome stylists.
So I was in search for someone to make me a perfect blonde. I had visions of Jennifer Aniston in mind. After some research I found Rick and read that he did Petra Nemcova’s hair. I booked him that day. He works with cotton instead of foil and is a color genius!!! take it from someone who’s been coloring their hair forever, he’s wonderful. Rich, warm, even highlights… I’m thrilled!
Only thing… Be prepared to spend. For color and wash (I blow dried myself) I paid $ 340. That was a full head of highlights and a glaze. Oh and a great conditioning mask! You can only tip in cash, but there is an ATM nearby.

carlos has been cutting my hair for over 10 yrs. we’ve gone short bob, all sorts of bangs, layers, just about everything and he’s done a great job with all of them. i usu let him do whatever he feels like and he knows that i don’t blow-​dry or style and his cuts really work well for my low maintenance (lazy?) routine. i don’t find the salon snobby and you don’t have to wait a month to get on the calendar.

These guys took me from platinum blonde to a rich, chestnut brunette… not an easy feat, and one that has been bumbled in the past to the point of green coloration and hair breakage/​loss.
It’s in the Sportsclub LA which frankly, made me a bit dubious, but man, if you’re nervous or sensitive about what you want to have done with your hair you can trust this place. They also style celebs, like the VS Angels and Petra Nemcova to name a few.
Gina Nicole took care of me and she was lovely. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me honest feedback, and the final result was really nice — it even shines in a new way after years of mistreatment. It was not inexpensive, but averagely priced for superior service and results.
