Ordered delivery Chicken Parmesan… No taste, chicken wasn’t breaded, cheese was barely melted. Delivery did come quickly but I wouldn’t order again.

I came here to get soup several times. I’ve tried tomato soup, carrot soup and others. They all taste very good and never disappoint me. The Asian ladies behind counter are very sweet and friendly.

Small joint on the strip, nice ambiance. I ordered the penne ala vodka($ 11.95) adding chicken was an additional $ 3.95. Sauce was good, very creamy and pasta was cooked al dente, not bad. Also, had the chicken parmigiana served with penne $ 13.95, FAIL. The chicken was a grilled piece on top of the penne covered by a white goo. Skip this on the menu. The portions for the price are nuts and this was for lunch prices!

Review is for seamless — get the penne alla vodka! Great portions(although it is $ 18) but it’s so creamy and comes with a generous serving of chicken.

This place is great. Off the tourist spots. My daughter and I walked in off the street. The food was great. The service was super nice. Totally felt like a locals spot. My daughter(16) wanted to eat there everyday of our trip.

Great little Italian place. What stood out for me was the mozzarella appetizer. To me, it was perfect with peppers instead of tomatoes. I had the lasagne, which is the universal metric I judge Italian places by. It was excellent… Thin sections between noodles with a mild sauce and a slightly crusted cheese edge. Things that could have been better were the bread… I asked for white bread and they had it. Originally they started with a wheat type bread which seems atypical for Italian food. It wasn’t bad, just different. Anyway, let the rambling cease… Great food, good service, very fair prices. Very quick too. Happy.

It’s nice to have a place like Pomodoro where you can quickly pick up a quality Italian meal. The alfredo sauce is delicious as is tomato sauce. I love their chicken alfredo with penne. It’s a cozy spot to dine in and convenient for pickup. I’ve been a couple of times and definitely will be back.

If 0 was an option I would give that rating. Ordered, driver refused to buzz and come up to my apartment door(in an elevator building) so I went downstairs to show him how the buzzing system worked. He proceeded to spit and curse at me and then attempted to force the exterior door to stay open. Woman on the phone back at the restaurant said she would«talk» to him. As a single mother home alone with 2 kids, this was not only rude of the driver but also completely unacceptable behavior to curse at customers and spit at them. NEVER order from this place.

Great little Italian place near my apartment. Good prices, fast service, and terrific taste for a fast casual kind of establishment. I had the linguine with clams for takeout and it was delicious — clams were fresher than some I’ve had at higher end restaurants. Boyfriend loved his chicken alfredo. Can’t wait to come back and try more.

Regular customer here. Best Italian sandwich in Mid-town! Italian food done the right way! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The quality and craft is exceptional. Can I call it gourmet fast food? The pasta is very good too. Linguini alla vongola was delicious.

Decent food. I was in town for a trade show and after 9 hours of standing all day at the show I wasn’t interested in going out, so I stopped by here and got some take out food on the way back to the hotel… I had spaghetti and it was delicious! It didn’t take too long to make and the sauce was very tasty.

Food was very tasty and very fast. I had the Monday lunch special — half roast beef sandwich(I actually think you can choose any sandwich on the list…) and bowl of chicken noodle soup. Very yummy. I finished it all. I was feeling a bit under the weather too and the soup made me feel a ton better! :)

Food is so fresh and excellent! Shop is kind of old but food is so amazing~~ Came to right place Fish is perfectly cooked – in a delicious light curry sauce. Pork chop is grilled perfectly. Vegetables are steamed just right, not overdone as is common. Mashed potatoes are perfect and light. Penne alla vodka is heavy and satisfying, enough for two people.

This is a decent, fast, and reliable spot on 9th Avenue to get a quick and healthier food option. The service is friendly and really quick. I stopped in for dinner recently and although I only bought a cheap little pasta, the waitress devoted her complete attention to me and was very sweet. Salads are reliably good.

I just LOVE this little joint. Their sandwich /soup specials is what originally reeled me in, a year later I finally tried their pasta and it was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection sauce was tasty, you can tell the meatballs are home made as they had little pieces of pepper and onions inside. Their sandwiches are great too, I never had a bad lunch from them! Highly recommend for lunch!

Caveat: I must have ordered the wrong thing. I am not usually moved to seek out and destroy a restaurant on Unilocal; indeed, most of my reviews are all positive. However, I was so monumentally disappointed by the meal I just ate that I had to speak up, had to spare others, almost in a moral-obligation-y way.(helpful tip: my whole review is summed up in the very last three sentences) I looked this place up and saw that somehow it had 4 stars. Everyone else seems to love this place, lavishing it with orange and red ratings, lauding the cuisine. Clearly, I am the one who has made the mistake. I was already feeling reluctant when I walked in the front door. It’s one of those places that, even at the dinner/early-cocktails hour(they don’t serve cocktails), no one has made the choice to ‘dine-in’ here. It’s just a few sad, empty tables. But for some reason I stayed, for some reason I stood resolutely in front of that cashier and placed an order. Mostly I was just lazy: I didn’t want to have to keep walking around the neighborhood to find food(there are dozens of restaurants within two feet of the place – that’s how lazy I was). I ordered the Penne Alfredo, and I asked for grilled chicken to be added to it. I carried it two blocks back to my hotel and then ate a very sad meal. I have, honest-to-goodness, made far better fare with basic store-bought ingredients(pasta noodles, sauce-in-a-jar, and frozen chicken), or even the pre-made kind that you throw on the skillet for ten minutes. Had I spent only about 8 bucks on this I might not be wasting my time with writing this review right now. Lo, it somehow costs TWICE that amount(yes, $ 16) for this meal. The chicken was only an additional $ 3. I have no idea what makes the rest of it so pricey. To describe the culinary experience: the flavor was flat. It needed salt, or pepper, or life-like flavor in general. The chicken was thin and tasted of «I was just pulled from the refrigerator and microwaved». Not that they are required in Alfredos, but there were no greens in the dish(parsley yes, but broccoli or peas would probably have escalated this review to at least two stars). I bring up the greens thing because right now I’m thinking about how homogenous the whole dish was: no delightful bursts of flavor, no surprising(in a good way) textures… it was all very bland and boring. I could have made a smoothie out of it and barely noticed the difference. So looking at the other reviews, it appears I should have ordered a salad, or a sandwich. Or the chocolate cake. I think next time, though, I’ll just walk half a block away to another restaurant I passed on my way back that looked about fifty times better. Even as I walked past, I was kicking myself; I just KNEW the food I had in my hand was inferior. You might say I was setting myself up for failure, resigning my expectations this way. I would think that would only have made it that much easier to surprise me. Instead I got exactly what I was expecting: slop. If you go here, get a sandwich or salad. Those apparently are good. Whatever you do, do not get the Alfredo(unless you just don’t care about taste).

I really enjoy the quality of food served at Pomodoro, but unfortunately the price to quantity ratio is so that I can only come here on occasion. A «treat myself» sort of thing. I thought the full sandwich would fill me up, but they’re just too small(for me at least) to sustain me throughout the day. With that said, I do love the flavors this little restaurant produces.

The most hilarious thing is that this is an Italian themed sandwich/soup/salad run mostly by Asians with Mexicans doing delivery and prep. But it works. Chicken salad sandwich on wheat was pretty decent. Wasn’t covered entirely in mayo, but wasn’t dry either. Basic stuff. Service is quick and the turnover rate of the salads and sandwich supplies seems good. Lots of foot traffic around lunchtime and they also deliver/cater. They also sell gigantic cookies for $ 1.75. Didn’t get a chance to try them, but I’d like return to try that and their coffee. Note that sandwiches are $ 8.45 but come out over $ 9 with tax, but I’m putting it on my Midtown West Under $ 9 Unilocal list anyway. They accept cards though.
