I love this place, and I make it my business to visit this restaurant when I come to New York. I had dinner with my friend Audrey Baptiste and we were not disappointed. I had the Lasagna excellent made with love. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes to come out. But boy is it worth it. I returned again, to New York with my daughter in November 2015 and she was impressed. She also loved the food. She ordered pizza and it was the style we love. The crust was nice and thin and crunchy. Nothing like the pizza you get in California. The Chianti wine is made in-house. One glass and you are sold. Pomodoro thanks for making my Italian experience one to remember.

I have eaten from Pomodoro’s before and every other experience was great, but after this last experience I will never, and I repeat never eat from here again. After ordering quite a lot of food and requesting plates, my order showed up after an hour without the plates. Then, I was sent 1 incorrect item and when I called to notify them they gave me an argument and then reluctantly agreed to correct it but only if I sent back the incorrect dish. REALLY, who does that? Were they going to resell the dish that came to me. Yikes!!! They did bring the correct item, but it wasn’t even worth it. The calamari and buffalo wings were dry. The shrimp that was supposed to be spicy was not. The pasta was just ok, nothing special at all. Oh and the garlic bread was burnt to a crisp on one side. I would say don’t waste your time going here.

Service is terrible. All the workers are sitting and chatting. It is a slow Sunday night and it took forever to get my soup. They Almost didn’t even allow me to eat at their outdoor seating when we are the only diners in the restaurant. If I didn’t already pay I would’ve left !!!

Pomodoro is a nice option for Italian food that isn’t too expensive. It’s s simple place, but feels homely, the pasta does not have fancy presentation or ingredients, but tastes good home style.

Went here with friends while in NYC. We ended up here due to attrition. But the place was decent. It wasn’t the best pizza we found in NYC but it was still decent. The place is clean and was busy so that’s always a good sign. I would go back here again as it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t awesome.

Pomodoro Pizzeria NY Manhattan Nolita 12pm Wednesday 17th February 2016 Three Stars I stopped in for a quick slice of Margherita pizza($ 4). The slice was rather large. The crust was thin and crispy at the tip but became increasing thicker towards handle. I really enjoyed the bread, it had chew, dusting of flour, and hearty taste. The sauce was fresh, but one dimensional. The cheese was a bit rubbery, and I couldn’t bite through it which causes you to eat all the cheese in one bite. Overall, it was decent place to get a quick bite.

Had planned to go Lombardi’s but did not have time to wait because of a tour. Ended up here instead and came out satisfied. They had a great lunch time special– $ 15 for a small pizza for 2 along with 2 salads and fountain drinks. We tried their signature vodka sauce and it was delicious! It had big slices of fresh mozzarella on top. The service was quick and friendly and we were able to make our tour.

the goal was to find the best, most affordable italian restaurant in or near little italy and i think we found it. it was a very cold day in december and i was underdressed so coming into the restaurant felt freaking good. i ordered the lobster bisque and manicotti filled with ricotta cheese. perhaps not the best pasta in the universe but priced right and service was friendly without being fake italian cheesy which i fucking hate. their house malbec aint bad either. check it!

The Pizza by the slice here is great and the service is fast. Good place to sit down after /during shopping in Soho when you don’t want to wait in line. Or when your about to day drink at Spring Lounge and need a foundation. The Chicken Blue Cheese slice is off the hook. As is the fresh motz and tomato slice. I usually don’t get entrees here. 4 stars for the pizza. They sell a lot of pie so its always usually very fresh on weekends. Chicken Blue cheese slice is not always available.

Definitely a good place to get done cheap but delicious pizza in the area. After wandering around and seeing the prices and the wait in the area we finally chose this place. We got a plain pizza to split. Great taste. We also had great service in the restaurant and I’d honestly go back for that alone.

I love this place! It’s right next to my friend’s apartment in Manhattan. It’s the perfect place to get a slice of pizza because it’s so close and convenient. They have many different kinds but their best one is cheese and veggie(even though I love my meat!) I typically get the pizza to go. Another thing… don’t let homeless people in. I felt bad because between him getting stabbed and me getting dumped, I somehow felt the need to let him in and buy him a slice of pizza. I must say that I felt very thankful that I was dumped instead of stabbed in this game called life. Well, I don’t think he left and then my friend gave me the dirtiest look… Regardless, it was a great slice of pizza and it sure did keep me warm at night along with my Empire binge.

It’s just pizza. I appreciate that they sell by the slice. I think it gives you a nice idea of New York pizza but it’s just not mind blowing. It’s pretty nicely priced though and it’s a good place to go for a late night pizza run or a casual hang out with friends, but it’s not nice dinner place.

The first time I had good pizza was when I came to Pomodoro at the age of 17. Back then I didn’t know about Grimaldis, Vezzo or even Lombardi’s about a block away but knowing what I knew now about those Pizzarias depending on the time /day that they make it, they’re not too different but this one has the best bang for the buck. It feels like a Ray’s Pizza but taste like a Lombardi’s. If you’re ordering a pie, I would say go for it as it almost guarantees fresh from the oven taste. or if you want just a slice, what I usually do is wait for a pie that just came out from the oven and order that. I can tell you if it’s been sitting out long then reheated, I would prefer not to eat it. If I had friends coming from out of NY and want to take them to a local pizzeria, this is the one I bring them to.

Wow. In the heart of the world’s best pizza places, this one stands out. We had 2 pizzas, a white pizza with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes; and a lasagna pizza. Wow. Did I already say that? Perfect crust, fresh ingredients, and both sauces were unbelievably awesome. Excellent friendly service to boot. Head on down to Little Italy and eat at Pomodoro. Much better than places that like to burn your crust.

So disappointed, was on our way to Lombardos but they didn’t take credit card. So we left there and went here. First off we ordered a calzone and after a few minutes were told they didn’t have any. Then tried to order a meatball sub, after a few minutes told they didn’t have any. We then ordered a chicken Parmesan, they were big but the chicken was not tenderized and was hard pretty awful. I tried my sons pizza it was alright. The price is too high a pepperoni slice $ 3.50. Did not like the prices here at all. The food was pretty crappy considering how long the place was in business. Don’t waste your money here. It’s apparent they make the food and freeze it. Because the chicken came out in like five minutes. Tasted pretty bad.

Ok, so just go for the Vodka slice. That’s it, but it’s worth it. The Vodka slice. If you get something else, you’re doing it wrong. Just fresh mozz, slathered with tons of super-delicious vodka sauce(why don’t more pizza joints do this?!?), and it just may be the best thing you could possibly have after a night of drinking in Soho. Oh, it’s also right next to Rice to Riches if you want dessert afterwards. So do that too.

The vodka pizza was so good. I’m from Chicago and I must say that I prefer NY style«thin» crust pizza. The crust was both crispy and chewy in all the right places. The wait staff was very attentive and you can tell they took pride in their pizza. Felt very homey.

Our adventure to Little Italy on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 pm. We were using Unilocal to help us decide where to have lunch and while standing on the street corner waiting for the Unilocal results, we happened to look over our shoulders into the window of Pomodoro. The pizza’s on the the tables looked amazing so we decided to stop in. The restaurant was very busy so we were seated at a table with a party of 4(there were 2 seats at the end which were available). The waiters were very friendly for such a bustling day. We decided to share their organic salad, two slices of pizza(one with brocolini and another with tomato and black olives) along with a chicken roll(calzone). Our salad arrived fairly quickly and was a very nice size with fresh organic greens. It was oddly topped with scrambled eggs which was the first time we’ve ever seen scrambled(vs. boiled) eggs on a salad. In any event, it was good. Our pizza slices and chicken roll arrived very quickly as well, before we had a chance to finish our salad. The chicken roll was delicious, the chicken was very tender and tasty as were the pizza slices. Our only criticism, neither were very hot. Warm but not hot. The crust on both were crispy and very good. If the pizza’s/roll were hot, it may have earned them 5 stars. Definitely a fan, looking forward to returning!

How any New Yorker can think this is good pizza is beyond my comprehension. Their sauce is bland, their crust has no taste, and their mozzarella cheese tastes exactly like American cheese. Yes American cheese. Plus, their pepperoni pizza is made as an afterthought… it starts out as a plain cheese pizza, it gets fully cooked, and then the pepperoni slices are added after it comes out of the oven. WTF. Take my advice, if you want a real slice of pizza… walk a couple blocks over to Prince Street Pizza.

The vodka sauce was amazing! I had it over the pasta of the day and it also came with a small salad. Delicious. My boyfriend got a slice of pizza but wasn’t wowed by it. The crust was really hard. A couple next to us ordered two«mini» pizzas and they looked amazing! They were HUGE! I wish we would’ve done the same! Of we ever go back we definitely will. Our food and beers came out super fast, but draft peroni was warm. Service was friendly, but I was confused why gratuity was added on. Pay attention to your receipt!
