Youthquake Studios is a rehearsal space in midtown manhattan that caters to musicians who value a comfortable clean space and a friendly rental experience. The space is musician run and available to rent hourly or for a set rate monthly.

History

Established in 2011.

Singer/​songwriter, Sarah Elizabeth Foster, founded Youthquake Studios in 2011 with the foundational point of view that what makes a rehearsal space great is the feeling of the environment. Sarah believes this mood is achieved with a careful consideration of wall color, art, and the people that make up the space. Along with these elements she adds solid high quality equipment and an open ear to feedback and the ideal creative space is complete.

The name «Youthquake» was taken from the name of the mini skirt movement of the 1960’s. A name coined by the Vogue editor at the time.

Business Owner

Sarah Elizabeth Foster founded a record label and music publishing company in 2008 with the release of her first album. Another album followed and a Christmas single for the holidays. Then in 2011 Youthquake Studios came together to offer a physical music space to her developing business group.

Sarah has always been passionate about learning and sharing her knowledge with others. With Youthquake Studios she enjoys meeting a wide range of New York musicians and providing a inspiring space where they can pursue their dreams.
