History

Established in 1991.

George Vallo opened Portafiori Flowers in January, 1991 as a retail flower shop. As event and party work increased, George realized his true calling and moved into a studio space at 120 West 28^th Street in the heart of The New York Flower Market.

This location allows Portafiori to have access to the flower wholesalers on 28^th Street, along with rental companies and supply stores. In working closely with each client to create their event, Portafiori can easily supply everything from the flowers to the linens, rentals and lighting.
