Presbyterian Deli

This place is great. One word of advice. Use only cash.
Been going to this bodega for a while for cigarettes. Always paid with my card. Yesterday, I checked my account and they took out $ 162 all on one day for all the transactions I had made in the past three months at that location.
Trying to get someone to talk to was difficult and they really screwed up my budget for the week.

This is the best bodega in Washington Heights! When I lived around the corner from this store, this was my everyday «go-​to» for snacks and supplies. Just remembering those delicious roast beef sandwiches makes me smile! Great place!

Hands down, there is no better deli/​bodega/​corner store in the neighborhood. The Pastrami King sandwich is amazing, but the Presbyterian special is probably the best wrap I’ve ever had. What makes this deli so special is the fact that they’re more than a deli, they’re also a full-​stocked bodega with all the necessities you may need. You can have a box of cheerios, pack of newborn diapers and 3lb of potatoes delivered to your door, with your hot pastrami at 4am, rain, storm or shine, if that is what you need. Great people, great place.

The Presbyterian Deli is definitely the BEST bodega in the neighborhood. You can tell it is a winner by the number of police officers from the 33^rd Precinct who frequent the establishment at all hours of the night! There have a 24-​hour grill that will serve you a delicious sandwich (Boar’s Head), bagel, salad, burger, or basically ANYTHING you want. The bodega-​part of the store has EVERYTHING from drain cleaner and laundry detergent, to candles, light bulbs, medicine, and extension cords.
The space itself is very clean and organized. It’s not like most bodegas in the neighborhood that look like they opened up in 1986 and are still trying to sell through the pancake mix and peanut butter they placed on the shelf on opening day. They prices here are good, and they have a great selection of beers and ice cream.
The staff are friendly and professional, (unlike most of the people who shop there) and they remain calm and courteous even when the customers get rowdy (avoid the 730am and 3pm hours to avoid the crazy loud kids who stop here after school to get a snack and cause a scene).
I’m pretty sure they do deliveries in the neighborhood. So give them a call!
Recommendations:
The bacon egg and cheese is a great deal and really yummy.
Barbecue chicken sandwich is awesome and it comes with a free soda. (Most sandwiches come with a free soda)
