I’m generally a fan of Pret — although overpriced, they have some good stuff and their coffee is a nice welcome from the two Starbucks per block around this area. I also go to Pret for breakfast — they have decent oatmeal. However, this particular location deserves just a few stars. They tend to be always out of oatmeal condiments. Plus, for the first time today, they started charging 50 cents per little container of brown suger and granola. Brought cost to $ 5 for a little box of oatmeal with brown sugar and a few granola bits. Wow even for NYC and this area. There are many other places nearby that sell as-good, reasonably priced oatmeal. I’d recommend checking out the places nearby and come only if you want something else on their menu.

This Pret just keeps getting better and better! I am really impressed by the staff in this place. Their smiles and upbeat attitude are contagious. I always leave the place feeling good. I believe the staff’s attitude is due, in great part, to the way this store is run. The management of this Pret is doing something very right. I’ll keep coming back.

I’m a TeaLover. My first perfect cup of coffee was 3 years ago & it began with Pret! Their coffee is so smooth & hot. They have whole, skim, soy & half&half, all organic! They have yummy flavors like vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, salted caramel, pure cane syrup. The Barista can add cocoa or cinnamon on their hot or cold beverage. Oh Jesus Lord, their iced chai w. Vanilla & cinnamon is everything! If you find its too watery, you can always tell your Barista exactly just how you want it. Like 25% water &75% milk makes it simple for me to order. I fell in love with all their teas! English breakfast, earl grey, peppermint, chai always a fan of green tea. Mmm, tropical mango green iced tea w. Lemon & pure cane syrup. Prets’ drinks are amazing because you can always customize. The Barista Jessica is so knowledgeable, efficient, & friendly. So is Montana! The ladies & gents are cute, friendly & hard working! They are always in a cheerful & seemingly grateful mood, which is wonderful! Edna is the best! She gets it right, all the time! FOOD? Mozzarella tomato croissant, bacon croissant, chocolate, almond, plain! You can always ask for jelly, cream cheese, &/or butter!!! Yummiest ENERGY grain bagel! The bagel is so reasonably priced. Their falafel salad & tomato feta soup is to die for! Avocado pine nut wrap, falafel wrap, garden or super green sandwich! It’s 1:23AM& I’m craving Pret! I want everything except meat, you can have that too. Chicken, roast beef, ham, bacon! Brownie bites &LOVE bites! Try those babies. The Rosemary & Olive Oil chips, BBQ, Salt & Vinegar, popcorn, Carmel & cheddar cheese popcorn! Lemon/lime & grapefruit sparkling soda!!! Guys, bring your fam & friends! Freshly made everyday & quality is up there! Wonderful music & atmosphere. Single, spacious & clean bathroom. Everything here is a lovely experience.

I used to come here every single morning and get the same exact thing, Iced chai latte with cinnamon and vanilla… I try to get in before 9 am which seems to be their busiest and most chaotic time, so naturally in the midst of the chaos they would leave out an ingredient or i’ll have to wait a little longer for my drink(no big deal). Then I noticed it was a constant thing. I tried giving this location a second chance but they strive to disappoint… They forget to make my drink or just haphazardly throw it together last minute resulting in the saddest drink ever concocted. God forbid they make the wrong drink and I happen to let them know that what they’ve made isn’t what I ordered, if eye rolling could kill. I rather walk 5 minutes out of my way to get better service in the location on 38th… The other things that don’t require any type of assembly are pretty decent though.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve been to several locations throughout the city and each and every one of them have been a great experience. I love what they stand for and that’s fresh quality food done daily. There’s never something left over from the previous day and that’s what I like. Also, anything that’s left over is donated to a charity at the end of the day. I would recommend their Crossaint it is so good ! I could eat them plain with some hot chocolate. I also get the egg and roasted tomato sandwich when I’m in the mood for something different than the usual bacon, egg and cheese combo. I tried the Bacon, Egg and Cheese on Brioche bread and wasn’t a big fan. The staff at all the locations are very nice and attentive. Would definiteltly recommend that you try the croissant.

I stop by this Pret at least once a week for my beloved Bang Bang Chicken Wrap(seriously, the best wrap ever and slightly addictive.) It’s always delicious, generally no wait time(and this is at lunch time) and the staff is pleasant — all ideal for a grab-and-go sandwich shop.

Alternative to Starbucks with an emphasis on good sandwiches. Even though I usually go to Starbucks, I’ve decided to look around. Since I don’t drink coffee, I’m looking for a place to work, which means that wifi and good food are critical. Unlike Starbucks, Pret has pretty good and substantial sandwiches, though I do enjoy Starbuck’s baked goods. You just can’t eat them every time you want to work. I got lucky and came in when the chicken mozzarella was just coming out. It’s about as fresh as you can get. Two points of concern for a workspace: not clear if there’s a restroom and there’s only one set of power outlets.

I’ve seen Pret a M’s all over the city, so I decided to make a quick stop for a mid-afternoon pick me up. It’s an interesting concept, with pre-packed sandwiches, salads, snacks and bottled drinks lining the entire left wall when you walk in. We grabbed a cup of fruit, a pastry, and coffee and a iced chai. Even though we were the only people in line, it took nearly 5 minutes of waiting to pay since they made our drinks before charging us. It felt kind of awkward to sit and start eating before paying, so we just waited at the counter. Once we got the drinks, I was disappointed. The hot chocolate was just ok, but the bf seemed to enjoy it. The iced chai was terrible! It was made with a tea bag and it was really watery. I brought it back to the counter and they kindly replaced it an iced vanilla latte, free of charge. I’m not sure I’d stop by again during my trip, but this location was clean and the service was friendly.

Soup and bread are delicious, but a little bit pricey. Also like the lemonade a lot.

This is the place I go when I’m craving for Hot Chocolate, the people is friendlier here. One thing i like about Pret A Manger Hot Chocolate is that they make it with steam milk, which make it deliciously good! Not a lot places do this. I learn to order it in smaller cup thought, b’cause the large cup take longer to make, which is fine by me.

Pret is a go-to grab-and-go sandwich, salad, pastry, coffee, soup all-encompassing shop. Their motto is «here today, gone today!» meaning every day they make fresh sandwiches in the kitchens at each site. And whatever doesn’t sell by day’s end, they donate to charity — usually to City Harvest. Everything they make *appears* healthy. But since they have so many locations, they are required to post nutritional content. The calorie counts aren’t that bad, so why not? Careful, though — the sodium in almost everything the sell is extremely high. The staff at this location can’t be kinder. They are friendly, yet professional. And always ready to help a customer but still follow the usual Pret steps of service.

Pret generally has good quality foods: I stop by this store about once a week for breakfast or lunch. But this is not my regular work lunch place: as a frequent customer over the last couple of years since this store opened I noticed same interesting developments. Pret changes their menu frequently, always trying to re-invent themselves. I find it discouraging — as soon as you like something it disappears the next week. Perhaps they want to keep the menu fresh, perhaps they cannot figure out how to source ingredients consistently. Either way, their slogan«Made today, gone tomorrow» should be taken quite literally — your favorite sandwich you bought today will not be available tomorrow. I also noticed a trend towards using cheaper foods. They got rid of smoked salmon in bagels. They axed ham in croissants. Now it is cream cheese and bacon but those are inexpensive compared to what they replaced. Perhaps they are trying to be more vegetarian. Perhaps they are looking for better sales margins. Bottom line: good quality food for a bite in a hurry, but if you a regular then look for better, more consistent and satisfying choices in the area.

The employees at this Pret make it different than the others around my office. They are SO incredibly cheerful, sweet and helpful. I really appreciate a smile in the middle of a stressful day and this staff always provide one. Love the food in a pinch and love this fabulous team.

I love going to Pret and it’s not just because, they have great sandwiches waiting for you to grab them up, so it’s fast and delicious, but because the employees have to be the nicest, most cheerful of any in Midtown. Honestly, you are always greeted with a smile and a «How are you?» It’s a rare thing for«fast food» employees, but it is greatly appreciated! The sandwiches speak for themselves — always fresh and delicious.
