Had to give it one star, just to be nice. Didn’t even open top deck do we’re all crammed on 2 floors. Staff is super unfriendly.

I wish I could give this thing negative stars. Biggest waste of money and worst New Year’s Eve EVER. The boat is dirty and cheap, the Staten Island Ferry looks like a cruise ship compared to this thing. After fees and taxes, I paid $ 150 for a ticket to an event with inedible passed appetizers(I only saw three trays), drinks consisting of barely one once of liquor, HORRIBLE staff, and disgusting facilities. The boat docked early and I asked the bartender for a cup of water and he said«no»!! The bartenders were so ghetto– the worst I have ever seen. Having been a bartender for many years, I have fair standards. One guy was playing on his phone while there were many people waiting for long periods of time for drinks, then later in the night he was so drunk that he was ignoring everyone except the drunk girls hitting on him. At one point they had NOWATER! How do you not have any water?! By the end of the night, all three stalls in the bathroom had stopped flushing and toilet paper was backed up and falling out the sides. Fights broke out at the coat check and I got hit twice as I tried to back out of the line of fire. They lost people’s coats in the coat check somehow, and started letting people in the back to grab their own– thank heavens no one took ours! This was one of the worst nights out I have ever had and will NEVER forget.

Been on here a few times, I’ll echo what most of the other reviewer’s have already stated: super ghetto crew, terrible service, insufficient bathrooms, food buffet is a joke. Granted I was on here for a free, after-hours techno party so a bit of grime and attitude might be fitting for the vibe. But things were managed on a level which me leave me wondering how anyone would book these guys for an event. Boarding took wayyy too long and it wasn’t difficult to see why: the security was searching everyone to a ridiculous extent. My personal feeling is that they were doing so for their own gain, probably holding onto the contraband they found for their own use or to sell. Anyways, I saw someone with a cup of green tea which I thought sounded wonderful after a night of partying and was directed to the food buffet. Even though it was practically the end of the cruise the guy refused to give me a cup, saying it only came with the $ 10 super shitty looking food buffet. Great thanks Queen of Hearts, I don’t think I’ll be gracing your decks again any time soon! Management: is it really that hard to find kind, competent staff to handle basic necessities? We’re stuck with you for quite a few hours and I don’t think it would be all that difficult to turn your operation around and save your reputation which is clearly in the dumps right now.

I purchase tickets for this cruise line on , you get what you pay for. This is my experience: 1. Apparently smoking is allowed not just cigarettes, marijuana as well(Illegal in NY State) 2. No one warned us smoking was allowed(so if you have asthma good luck of dying of an attack in the middle of the ocean). 3. Drinks are very over priced and watered down 4. ATM is $ 5.00 highest price I’ve ever seen it 5. Our cruise was suppose to be the sabroso saturday(merengue, salsa, bachata cruise). Hardly any of this genre was played only reggae and reggaeton. 6. The site should be more specific with age range(I was in a high school cruise filled with elderly people). Hardly anyone one was in there 20’s. 7. When complained the staff’s excuse was they can’t thoroughly check anyone due to coast guard rules. 8. I am glad I didn’t pay original price, I would’ve been more upset than I am. 9. Want a better cruise line go on 10. I do not reccomend this to anyone especially if you have Asthma.

Does not even deserve one star. I bought this groupon for my anniversary, thinking it will be something different from the usual dinner. Never in my life had I experienced something so awful. I wanted to surprise my husband, so after a long week, and a long day at work, I had him meet me at pier 40 for this Tropicana party boat. We both arrived there, at 7pm, we boarded 30 minutes later which was not that bad. However, when we got inside, there were no seats anywhere, the few seats that were there, were all reserved. We were standing for at least 2 hrs, and the boat has not moved an inch. Not only that, a lot of people were smoking everywhere, and the boat smelled so bad, we couldn’t find a corner to hide. Finally, I asked one of the ship employees when we were going to leave, he told me in 10mins. 20 mins later, we were still standing. We asked again at 9pm(2 hrs after we boarded, again we were told 10 mins.) We were both so hot and tired from standing and inhaling all the smoke, just walked out of the boat(which still did not move). The boat was so disgusting, it smelled, the people were drunk, no seats. I was so embarrassed that I dragged my husband to this. It was supposed to be my anniversary surprise. UGH!!!

This place deserves absolutely ZEROSTARS!!! On top of being a cheap, paper-thin, 2-bit sailboat, the events are run by GHETTOMANAGEMENT! I now remember why I’ve been turned off these types of boat rides all along. I write this review just after returning home from a ridiculously bad evening trying to endure this Tropicana Fridays Cruise After work thing. The event was put on by Affairs Afloat and my advice to everyone out there who’s seeing promos for free tix to their events is RUNFARFARAWAY! These ppl are giving away free tix because they are begging for patronage, knowing full well anyone in their right mind would have no business paying for a low-class event on a cheap boat. I will never ever make my way onto any of these things ever again after being treated rudely by management and broke cops moonlighting as security, overpaying for toilet-water drinks, then being told we can’t sit in a certain area because it’s «reserved» for bottle-service customers(excuse me, is this Carnival Cruiseline?)…Take ur money elsewhere folks! Once again, I failed to listen to my fellow Unilocalers and it cost me… don’t make the mistake I did… In Unilocal We [should] Trust!

Don’t. Imagine an old somewhat run down boat with 3 enclosed decks and two tiny 10’x20’ outdoor decks. Both the inside and outside are packed with people. The inside is leopard print musty carpet. Weird disco light things shine from grates in the ceiling tiles. There is some kind of bizarre fried chicken buffet and misc bridge and tunnel type people are standing around in stripper heels eating plates of fried chicken next to the men’s bathroom. Almost nowhere to sit. It’s packed and noisy in a terrible way. Everyone is trying to make the best of it, but it’s too late. We’re all stuck on this thing for three hours.

If I could give it a negative star rating, I would give it a MINUS five star. People who signed you in was nasty and totally unorganized. Go in-Dirty, dirty dirty! They pack on people that you can barely move. And if you upgrade for the buffet, don’t bother, go to a diner first. about five items, with some white trash women wearing a leapord shirt hair flying around is your server – line starts right at the mens room. Cant tell you how the cruise was, I got off… The actual ship in person looks nothing like its picture… don’t do it!!!

I should have totally seen other reviews for this horrible, depressing cruise before I purchased! But live and learn :) First of all, there was so much confusion as to where we needed to stand in line, half of our group upgraded their tickets, very disoriented. The staff didn’t know what they are doing. Stood in line for one hour. Going back and forth, line one or line two? There were so many people on this small vessel. Packed like sardines. Music was very loud, sorry not music, it was plain NOISE. Could not even get a little space for a dance floor. But then again, I could not dance to this noise of music. DJ needed to be fired! No, matter what deck you were on, loud noise and people touching each other’s butts. Very crouded in this small vessel. We were supposed to leave the docks at 9pm, we left at 9:32pm and we returned back to the dock in ten minutes, for what reason I dont know!!! Then finally we saw a glimpse of Statue of Liberty. The Queen was too far away from Liberty Lady. I could not wait to get off the boat! The two hours, whatever was left from this ship wreck, felt forever.

If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. The only reason I went to this was for a work dinner/drink/dance cruise party — and no I did not think it was a public party. I really don’t mind socializing with other people at all but DANG! We were packed in there worse than sardines in a can! We just went on Friday, July 22 — for what was supposedly called Tropicana Friday Dance cruise. Mind you, the high yesterday was 109! There was no AC and worst of all, almost all the areas were enclosed so even if you wanted to, you couldn’t find a place to get some fresh air, much less enjoy the City’s scenery. The music was EH, the food sucked and honestly i think their food made me sick, the drinks were both weak and expensive(really $ 10 for a Capt Morgan’s and Coke — one that only had one little jigger of Capt Morgans in it and chock full of ice???) I don’t mind strong and expensive or cheap and weak, but that was ridiculous. On top of that, it was GHETTO. A freaking FIGHT broke out between a couple — the guy actual took her purse off her shoulder and threw it overboard into the Hudson!!! WTH! Bottom line, pick a different cruise, ESPECIALLY if you are planning the next company outing on a boat!

I was on this boat 3 nights ago for a Rocks Off Concert Cruise. For starters, the security company that comes with the boat was unprofessional and unprepared. There were maybe 5 people(3 men, 2 women?) to check the passengers of not one, but two boats. I would estimate there were at least 800 people they had to check. The female who checked my purse went so far as to scruitinize my bottle of prescription medication. This was a freakin’ Pink Floyd Tribute Band show and you’re checking my prescription? Not to mention, she had her purse slung around her neck and no uniform on. It was HARDLY professional. Many people also complained of being patted down. The poor planning by security caused us to board at the time we were supposed to be sailing(so, a delay of an hour). Once aboard, we found out there were techincal issues but that we’d be sailing in about 10 minutes. It took at least another 20 to 30 min before we left — now an hour past our set sail time. I was greatly disappointed that the ‘outdoor’ smoking decks were merely plexi-glassed rooms with 2 panels removed for air. There was no sound system in these areas either. And then the kicker — the ship lost power 3 times, eventually forcing us to turn around. The engine cut off on our way back but another ship towed us in(THANKFULLY!!). What a disappointment!!! If I could give this a negative rating, I would.

Went for the new years eve cruise, agree with everything the other reviewers said. The atmosphere was nice because it was new years eve but this was promoted on lifebooker and the description was a straight out lie. Open bar top shelf was advertised, «top shelf» here consisted of absolut vodka. They also claimed you could stay on the boat to continue partying once it docks, however when the boat docked the security was shouting at everyone to get out. Don’t support grime organizers.

F-ing horrible. I was trapped on this boat during a Café Wha band performance(which was actually really good), but the boat was a nightmare. What is the point of being on a boat if you can’t be in the fresh air?! There are two small open-air decks on the boat(the rest of the boat is fully enclosed) and one was reserved for the band, so I had to muscle my way onto the only deck, that maybe fit 20 people comfortably. The moment I walked onto the boat I wanted OFF, next time I’m listening to my instincts.

Let’s call a spade a spade and say that this is just a ghetto club on water. Its actually very easy to get on the boat for free as there is someone there who is just doling out promotional tickets. The ride has hiphop in the basement and some latin grooves on the top deck. They serve a meal which consisted of tamales, salad, rice and some other stuff that if served in a restaurant would have caused me to leave. This is NOT a romantic place to bring a date and I would only suggest it if you’re chilling with friends or with a partner you aren’t trying to impress with your taste. Enjoy the ride.
