I came in really upset and panicking. I was deep in tax hell and Eric Gilsten was my hero. He calmed me down, fixed my mess and saved me money. He did it at Superman speed too. Everyone in the office was super nice and I will never go to anyone else. R&G Brenner for life. I walked out so happy that I could have done a back flip out the door.

Dennis Grogan helped me file my 2015 return which was handled fine.
He also helped me refile amended returns for an audit. which was horrible. Long story short, he told me everything was fine… when it wasn’t.
Once I found out, he asked me to fax him my notices, which I did. Well, phone calls and emails later, I got zilch in return, and I ended up having to just pay the fines because he went MIA.
While Dennis came highly regarded, initially, I suggest trying someone else.

My tax professional was Rene Garcia, I highly recommend this man. He’s very professional and pleasant to deal with. This was my first year taking it to a tax professional and I believe it’s safe to say that I will be returning again next year to file with them as well. The whole office is a pleasure to deal with. I think I was done with my taxes in 45 minutes, but it may have been an hour. At any rate, the time passed by quick and it was painless.

We’ve been using R&G Brenner to do our taxes for almost 15 years.
We started with Joe Gallagher who was highly recommended by a friend. Many years later, Kenny Ngai took over for a couple of years. Then, we were introduced to Herb Waldhauser, who’s been doing our taxes remotely, for the past 4 years.
We’re very satisfied with the level of professionalism and the quality of service we’ve received from R&G Brenner. Always looking out for the clients. Effective. Fast. Reliable.
We’ve stayed loyal clients even after we moved from NY to FL.

Steven Kessler filed by 2013 taxes and there were so many errors that I was charged an additional $ 4000 by IRS. He filed my residency wrong. I am in collections at this point. Just use Turbo Tax.

I used to do my own taxes but after I had children I decided that it was time for me to have them professionally prepared. I have been having my taxes done by R&G Brenner for over 5 years. In the beginning I had Rudy W. and now I have Eric G.
I was happy with their service until today. I had an issue come up after I had filed my taxes. Some forms needed to be filled out to confirm my income. The person who did my taxes prepared the forms. Upon reaching my office I reviewed the forms and noticed several errors. The errors were corrected but what if I had not double checked the forms? I would have had more problems with the Feds and NYS. I will no longer use their services.

I have been coming to R&G for past 3 years. I used to see them long ago too but they started charing lots of money for doing my tax. It was not justifiable since I was making so little money back then.
Now I own my business and filing tax is very complicated. I started working with Eric and he is pretty great at what he does. He is a straight shooter and answers my questions simple and well. I like working with him a lot.
Employees at front desks acted like they have betters things to do but all the accountants there are very professional as far as I see.

My taxes have been completed by R&G Brenner for over 10 years. I have moved from NYC, Seattle, Vegas and currently reside in Los Angeles. I have had Herb do my taxes for the last 2 years over the phone and the service and expertise that he has provided for me working full-​time for an employer onsite and working from home have been exceptional. This is the absolute worst. my tax «advisor» was fine for several years and then screwed up my returns for four years. The IRS and New York State audited my returns and found the errors. I submitted all the claims and letters from these agencies to my «advisor» who told me he was addressing them.
Long story short, by the time I figured out that i had been completely lied to and In fact nothing had been done, the appeal period had expired and I was forced to pay $ 3500 in penalties that I wouldn’t have had to pay if the returns had been done correctly or if I hadn’t been mislead into thinking they had been corrected.

I have to admit, when I saw all the 5-​star reviews I was a bit skeptical. Before I saw Dennis Grogan, I was using Turbo Tax and owing over $ 2000! Within 30 min, he made that disappear and I actually got a refund! I am so thankful for his help.
Everyone in the office was friendly and professional. Definitely took the stress out of having my taxes done. I would highly recommend!!!

I’ve been using R&G Brenner since 2006, so the 5 stars are not based on one year’s taxes. I’ve had 3 different tax specialists over that time period and they are all exceptionally good at what they do. My taxes are a bit complex so I need all the help I can get. These guys are on point, professional and highly competent tax professionals. I have full confidence that I’m getting back the maximum amount, and that no issues are overlooked. If you want glorified data-​entry people doing your taxes, go to H&R; if you want to pay a bit more and have your taxes done the right way, go to R&G. I’ve already recommended my adviser, Herb, to several of my friends and will continue to recommend him and R&G Brenner to anyone that asks.
