The beef patty was the best part! Juicy and flavorful! The line was pretty long at smorgasburg… But personally, I felt it was all hype. Sorry ramen burger :(Burgers are my ultimate favorite but this just wasn’t my cup of tea. =/

It’s not bad, though I don’t get the hype around it. The bun is quite greasy and tastes like good ramen with a brothy taste. The patty is quite tender, probably medium-well done which is a bit more than I would like. Your hands will get very greasy eating this thing. I will say that the taste without any additional condiments is quite good in itself, though I would not be standing in line for 10 minutes for one of these(I would wait an hour, however, for a Umami truffle burger.)

I love ramen. I love burgers. RamenBurger, not so much. Finally tried it, one and done. I respect the hustle but for $ 10, I’d rather get two Shake Shack burgers.

Ok, maybe 2.5 stars for the actual burger, rounding down at least 1.5 stars for the ridiculous line and absurdity of the price. $ 10? Please. Much better options abound at the Smörgåsbord. Way too greasy, tiny burger, too much volume and density from the noodles, and an ok but honestly not that inspiring flavor. A most definite pass.

Honestly, too overwhelming… what’s so great about it? Yuck. Do not recommend.

The best part about eating the famed Ramen Burger? Knowing there are tens of other options at the Market where your money would be better spent. I’ve been eager to try out this legendary burger since it started making waves on the Internet months ago. When I arrived at Smorgasberg, I bought two. Don’t make the same mistake. The soggy«buns» taste no better than rubber, and the burger itself is reminiscent of the dollar menu offerings at fast food restaurants. Wouldn’t take another bite if it was free.

Finally had one of these at Berg’n last week(they sadly weren’t doing great there, so they will be leaving this week). They really only have two options for the burgers: meat and veggie. The veggie comes with a delicately crafted garlic aioli with, essentially just mushrooms and scallions in between a bed of ramen. Let me start by saying… ITWASAWESOME. The mushrooms and aioli mixed together with the flavor of ramen was absolutely great. Do I think they could’ve done a little bit more for the veggie option? Yes. Why not use an actual patty? They load it with a ton of mushrooms, so half of them fall out while you’re eating this«burger». The ramen is pretty tasteless in itself, which is where the aioli came in to save the day. This is a unique twist to a typical ramen place. Like sometimes I want ramen, but I don’t want it on a summer day when it’s 90 degrees outside. But I don’t think the cost is worth it. $ 10 for a burger not even as big as my hands(and I have smaaaall hands) didn’t seem cost efficient to me. Also, I can’t imagine standing in a long line at smorgasburg for this. It’s a nice try if you don’t have to wait in line and don’t mind paying a lot for a little.

Grabbed one of these $ 10 burgers at Governors Ball. The line was about 1 hour and 30 minutes, probably because it was peak dinner time. I got the burger without cheese because the idea of putting cheese into most types of Asian foods creeps me out a little(think about it — last time you had cheese in Asian food? Like never.). The burger was wrapped up in a piece of paper and the grease from the ramen patties had already soaked through by that point, so I had to place a napkin around it as well. Burger was alright, not too dry. I appreciated the seasoning they added; it reminded of the type of sauce they use in Peking duck dishes. Ramen patties were disappointing. No flavor. Just oily. Texture was definitely interesting. I don’t think it contributed to the burger. It might have detracted. Anyway, I was glad to have tried it out at least and seen what the«hype» was all about. But I wouldn’t spend $ 10 again on this.

I finally had Ramen Burger at Smorgasburg on a whim, and I must say I wasn’t disappointed so much in waiting to try it as I was in actually buying it at all. At $ 10 for what is essentially a quarter pounder that has been lying in the sun as it is made in bulk quantities, the price is hefty. The burger is standard and the ramen is flavorless and adds a unique but familiar texture. All in all, it’s fine, if overpriced. It’s totally acceptable, and it’s so weird it’s so popular. There is nothing to recommend it as either a burger or ramen. If you want both you should get both and avoid this meager fusion.

Had to grab one of these hyped burgers that have been flooding social media while at Gov Ball Music Festival, the line was ridiculously long but the ramen burger was worth it. They are pretty small at $ 10 a pop but for the unique fusion I was willing and able. The 4 stars may be alcohol induced but I loved every bite of it and would rendezvous anytime.

I went to the Ramen Burger stand in South Street Seaport. It was the only one with a line, but they moved pretty quickly. Then the food came out pretty quickly with them screaming out your name. I got the original with cheese to split with my friend. The sauce on the burger was on point. Delicious. However, the rest was just alright. Not great. I think I may have hyped it up too much in my head because of how much I love ramen and burgers. The ramen was interesting. But not much flavor. Just a bit more on the oily/greasy side. Same with the burger patty. It didn’t seem to have much flavor and was fully cooked(completely understood). Not sure I’d be rushing to try it again but it was definitely an experience and I guess that’s what the Ramen Burger is all about! Something different!

It tastes just like what its called — ramen on the outside, burger on the inside. While it was tasty, and I am glad I tried it, I wouldn’t rave about it. Definitely worth trying once though!

I went to the Smörgåsbord and saw Ramen burger there. I was only in the very long line because my sister just had to have a burger. I don’t usually eat burgers because most come with a lot of bread and a tiny patty.(Yes I’m talking about you, fast food restaurants!) But when I saw this burger and saw that the bread was replaced with ramen noodles I was so excited to try! And. It. Was. Amazing!!! I wish I had gotten my own instead of one to share with my sister. I watched the people cook the burger and the noodle buns and assemble the burger and dress it with only arugula, teriyaki sauce and a little bit of scallions. My first bite of this little greasy piece of heaven was pure bliss. I know some people on Unilocal complain about the grease but look, you’re not eating this everyday so stop complaining unless you get one that’s so greasy it slides right out your hand. The burger by itself is a bit pricey but I think that’s because it’s unique and very tasty. Do yourself a favor and finish reading this review and then go get one! What are you waiting for? Now!

The original burger with cheese & egg: beautiful at first sight. The original burger with egg & bacon: also beautiful at first glance. Ramen fries: not bad, but takes a bit of tries to get used to. The sauce that’s paired with it makes it super delicious. Honestly, the ramen sort of overpowered the overall flavor of the burger. The patty and the ingredients itself was very tasty. Maybe it’s just my Asian roots & how I’m used to having ramen be the #1 ingredient in the meal. Great experience tho

Tried the highly talked about Ramen Burger at the Berg’n. This food hall is popping, why don’t we have these in Toronto? We ordered two original beef ramen burgers($ 8) — one with a double patty(+$ 2) and one with a fried egg addition(+$ 1). The beef was moist and well cooked, served medium rare. The beef is sandwiched between two ramen«buns» which are essentially compressed ramen noodles. The«buns» were solid and didn’t crumble upon bite impact. There’s one piece of lettuce and a generous spread of a Japanese soy based sauce. I found the sauce to be too salty; I definitely recommend ordering the sauce on the side if you’re sensitive to sodium. I had the single ramen burger with fried egg, the egg was cooked all the way through which made it less messy, but the gooeyness of a runny egg would have added a kick to the burger. The burger is worth the try for the first time. For the future, I’ll stick to slurping my ramen noodles.

I had the ramen burger on a Saturday at Smorgasburg and thought it was definitely overhyped. I thought the burger honestly had little flavor. The Ramen buns don’t really add any structure given how soft they are. Additionally, because they don’t have any al dente chewiness, the ramen buns taste unfresh and uninspired to be honest. Perhaps, they could even make the buns more dried and at least it would add some crispy texture to the buns. The meat wasn’t marinated very much so I couldn’t taste much flavor as well and they don’t add much else inside besides some small pieces of veggies and cheese if you do request it(which is also an extra charge). The only redeeming part of the burger was when you got to the end, there were quite a lot of sauces which had dripped to the bottom. This actually brought out some of the flavors and when eaten with all the pieces blended quite well between the noodles, meat and vegetables. It definitely didn’t taste like what I expected it to taste like, but nonetheless I think it’s worth the experience and exploration! Also, PS. keep in mind that you will also have to wait around 30 minutes in line to purchase the ramen burger because of the hyped up demand. Not terrible during the summer when the weather is nice, but it can still be a pain if it’s very hot.

I tend to be a little slow on food trends, not from lack of interest, but because I don’t have the patience to wait in inordinately long lines with the teeming masses. So it’s only now that I’ve gotten around to trying the ramen burger. A gorgeous sunny afternoon, a pleasant walk to Pier 5, and I was graced with only a few people standing in the Ramen Burger line at Smorgasburg. Thank god! Judging from the line wrapping around at Home Frite, people have indeed moved on to the next food trend(which means I’ll be trying those fries in about 6 months). I’ve seen other reviews disparagingly note that the burgers sit out already made, or the buns and patties languish in cold containers while waiting to be assembled. I’m happy to say none of that was happening when I went. Buns and patties were being cooked on the grill, each burger was made to order and put in a cool looking wrapper. I ordered mine with cheese. Delish! The meat was cooked medium, juicy and flavorful. The sauce with the greens and scallions definitely brought out the«ramen» flavor. I liked the buns a lot! Unlike bread buns, which get soggy and fall apart, the noodle buns were chewy and gave great texture, and helped keep the shape of the burger. They aren’t seasoned, but I think it’s probably for the best as the burger would be too salty otherwise. Some people have complained that the buns should be crunchy, not chewy. To me, that’s gross, like opening a packet of $ 1 ramen and eating the hard fried noodle block. Ick. Definitely not a replacement for a traditional hamburger, but then again, why would it be? It’s clearly a novelty food and meant to be enjoyed as a unique experience.

Finally able to try the original ramen burger. It’s good but definitely not worth $ 9! The beef patty itself were pretty flavorful. The ramen buns were chewy & greasy. The size of the ramen burger is pretty small. It’s more like a snack than a meal. If you’re curious about it, it’s worth trying. For $ 9, we don’t think it’s worth trying the second time.

We went to Smorgasburg in Williamsburg one Saturday afternoon just to try a ramen burger only to find that we were too late, even with 2 hours left before closing. Man, it must be amazing, I thought. So the next morning, we trekked all the way to Pier 5 to give it another go. After nearly finishing our Home Frites during the wait on the Ramen Burger line, we finally got our hands on the uniquely wrapped burger. And it was… okay. It sort of made me want to untangle it in a bowl of broth and eat it with chopsticks like a boring person. with the burger on the side, in a real bun. What I paid $ 9 for was the experience of having a famous ramen burger. I expected this burger to be some sort of breakthrough in the burger world, the way that it became completely appropriate to eat a hot dog wrapped in cornbread on a stick. But the truth is, ramen and beef patties don’t really complement each other the way you might wish it did. You can’t hold it like a burger either, unless you want to get your hands really dirty with drippy, soft ramen. It’s still a strange feeling to eat noodles with your bare hands as a grown up. It feels like your mom is going to see you and yell at you for touching your food so disgustingly. So instead, you must use the cool looking wrapper to hold the thing. But that’s all the wrapper is – cool looking. It’s pretty hard to avoid making a mess, unless you’ve got a plate catching all the sauce and food pieces falling out of the wrapper and your mouth. It makes for a cool picture to put on Facebook or Instagram. But it’s impractical to eat and doesn’t taste as amazing as you might think.

— Smorgasburg — Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY — Smorgasburg — outdoor version — in Williamsburg reopened for the season this past weekend, and to no surprise the Ramen Burger has made its presence known once again. I would love to say this is the«original» based on the other reviews on here in Hawaii and California — but to be truthful, I have no idea. I had heard about the hype last summer, and this was my first experience trying it. We waited about 20 – 30 minutes on a chilly April day, and honestly, the burger was tasty. My friend and I had differing opinions, however — I thought it was great, and he thought it wasn’t that amazing and didn’t understand why we waiting 20 – 30 minutes. Later, I read the reviews on here, and they are a bit all over the map. But here’s what you need-to-know: — We waited about 20 – 30 minutes — In line, we watched them prepare and cook the ramen, the burgers, and pile on the preparations. — Everything was basically made-to-order, because they had difficulty keeping up with the line, and therefore… — Tasted great. The ramen had its own ramen-y flavor, which appears to essentially melt in your mouth; — The burger was cooked and seasoned well; — The garnish of the scallions, and soy-garlic sauce added the extra flavor to put it all together. — and yes, the wrapper is fun and cute — $ 8 each, plus cheese $ 1, plus bacon $ 2 — Get it with the Bacon and Cheese — adds an extra kick!
