Came here while visiting my Brother in law. Nice place. Great to take a break and practice the golf skills.

Mini Golf is family friendly and reasonable.

Came there on my daughter’s eighteen birthday with family and friends. We had an amazing time it keep your mind thinking about how to get out the room. I recommend for everyone to go. The staff was very pleasant and helpful I give it thumbs up.

Been here a couple of times in the past few years. One of go-​to spots for mini-​golf.
It’s $ 9/​person for minigolf — not bad at all considering that there are two courses you can play on. Just make sure you don’t play the last game of each course (18 games for each course) so you can hold on to your ball. If you do play the last game and your ball gets bucketed, I’m not too sure if you can get another ball from the front desk.
Definitely check out the second course in the back because it’s more scenic! I.e. waterfalls, ponds. Bring bug spray — there are mosquitoes.
Decently priced food/​drinks at the bar. I’ve had the salad, waffle fries and nachos. The guacamole/​avocado on the salad and the nachos aren’t the best.
Additional entertainment: TVs by the bar and giant board games — jumbo jenga, jumbo playing cards.

Astoria’s secret next door oasis.
A quick bike ride over the Triboro and a little navigating around Randall’s Island will take you to this conglomeration of minigolf, driving range, batting cages, ping-​pong cornhole extravaganza WITH beer.
A tiny outdoor bar sits next to the golf ball dispenser. Out of the surprisingly generous draft selection, we chose Palm and Pacifico, and drank them in peace at one of the many outdoor tables sporting umbrellas. This made the minigolf AWESOME.
Just don’t get too tipsy for the bike ride back…

New York City isn’t really a haven for outdoor activities, and I was really excited when I realized that Randall’s Island had a mini golf course. There wasn’t much information on their website, but $ 9 for mini golf seemed like something I would be willing to try out. We chose to walk over here across the 125^th St. bridge, which is very doable, but lets you out kind of far from the course. I know the golf center actually has a shuttle if you choose to use that, and I think one of the MTA buses actually stops on the island, so there are transportation options.
As far as the actual amenities, let me say disappointed. The mini golf courses (and yes there are two) are tiny, and very basic. I’m a total kid at heart and was hoping for some whimsical windmills and tricks. None of that — this is very much just a putting green-​style mini golf course. Which I could be fine with if it was taken care of or anything, but it was in pretty shabby shape. To top it all off, when you purchase the mini golf inside their little shop, the person at the counter is totally not helpful at all — he doesn’t tell you where the course starts, or the fact that there are actually two courses, so if you didn’t look that up online, you could totally miss half of what they have to offer. Really disappointed that we weren’t given any more information because we really had to hunt around to figure out what was going on.
After our disappointing mini golf experience (which only took about 45 minutes — it’s not a very challenging course), we decided to use their driving range as well. Prices were also very nice — $ 10 for a bucket of 65 balls or $ 14 for 110, and then $ 2 to rent a club. BUT be careful — we rented the clubs and paid for everything before the guy at the counter (same as before) showed us where the clubs to pick out a rental were… they were almost all left-​handed clubs, and no drivers. You’d think that when someone was renting a club for the driving range, you’d mention that to them before taking their money. Definitely felt a little misled by that, and even more so when we finally made it out to the driving range and realized that almost everyone on there was using their own clubs, so it’s not like all the drivers had already been rented… they just don’t seem to have almost any available, which is absurd.
Bar was fine — had a beer and an order of chicken strips when we needed to take a break, and while their fries were disgusting, the beer and the chicken strips were both good. The bar itself is kind of a joke, but it’s also a small place, so out of everything that happened that day, I would say I was the least let down by that.
All in all, this whole excursion was incredibly fun in theory, but in practice, was a huge disappointment.

The facilities are great and affordable. The staff is friendly and helpful.
But the incompetent shuttle driver will have me going to Chelsea Piers from now on. Inbound she lied to her managers and left us waiting for over an hour. Back to NYC she: hit a maintenance truck; stopped at the toll booth to honk at another van (while she blocked traffic); and then stopped for gas with a full van of overheated passengers despite carrying a ¹⁄₃ of a tank. Not to mention her erratic, dangerous driving.

«Golf Center» is a misnomer. With a sand volleyball court, batting cages, corn hole, ping pong/​beer pong, mini golf, golf range, live music (playing on the patio on the weekends in the summer), and an outdoor bar with sports on TV, I have found a happier place than Happy Gilmore’s Happy Place. They even have a shuttle that picks and drops off at the subway.
A rebranding to Randell’s Island Golf Oasis, Smiles on Randell’s Isle, or Manland (well maybe not that last one) is in order.

When visiting my friend in East Harlem last week she dragged me on a long walk to Randall’s Island to come here and convinced me it wasn’t that far. Not only was it 100 degrees out but the light at the end of the tunnel wasn’t really worth the trip.
Their outdoor bar space is kind of a joke. I checked this place out on Unilocal and went to their website and was excited for an a fun outdoor biergarten. It was more like a café at a swimming club that strung up some lights and called itself a beer garden. The beer selection wasn’t bad but the food menu was pretty lackluster.
I’m not sure if my expectations were too high or not but I was definitely let down. I would probably come back for the golf or batting cages, but probably not for food or drink which is what drew us to this business.

They will sell you batting cage tokens, but do not have bats to use. A million dollar facility, and $ 20 with of children’s bats, from the garbage. Half the batting cages are broken anyway. Nice people, but whoever runs the batting cages does not appear to care at all

Miniature golf course could have been maintained a little better. Some tears in the turf, somewhat affecting game [lay. However, staff was very friendly, and unlimited rounds can’t be beat for the price. A little hard to get to.

This is one of those places you’ll probably never hear about in NYC, yet it’s a huge mini golf center. Located on Randall Island, this place is an excellent way to spend a day in the warmer months over a few beers.
The mini golf course is fairly big, entry comes with a bucket of balls and the price is very inexpensive. The course is full of fun and challenging holes, making it a great place for good golfers to spend a day with family or friends who nothing about golf but want to have fun.
There is a section with tables and benches that can be used for picnics and group get togethers. They even host/​cater private events, as was done when I came here. There is also a basketball court off to the side of the course for those who’d like to partake in activities other than golf.
Overall this is one of the cooler activities I’ve done in NYC. It’s easy to get sucked into Manhattan and think that nothing else exists outside of the island’s radius. But if you venture from inside the bubble, you’ll find that little gems like Randall’s exist and can be one of the most fun ways to spend a day. I’ll certainly be back here this summer!

I am kinda pissed off about Randall’s because I meant to try to go there as an alternative to Chelsea Pier one day but failed to go because the bus failed to pick me up. Supposedly there are buses at 72^nd St. and 86^th St. etc that takes ones to Randall’s Island Golf Center. I called the center specifically to ask the time slots for bus and I went there for the 6 pm bus but because I guess I stood on the wrong corner, the bus completely ignored me, didn’t even stop or even try to notice if there were any passengers waiting in the area so it just zipped by me and then I had to call the center again to tell them that I had been waiting the entire time and wait for the next bus. I mean at least they gave me a refund for the bus ride there… but still. I think it’s just more convenient to go to Chelsea which I really like and much nicer facility too.

What’s not to like other than it being a little difficult to get to? Cheap range, equipment in the clubhouse is fairly priced, and beer. A much better bet than Chelsea Piers for hitting balls.

I love coming here. I ride my bike using the 103^rd foot bridge. The staff here is so friendly, the food is great, and there are so many activities. The booze is cheaper that any bar/​restaurant in Manhattan. It is a great place for kids and young people looking to enjoy a Sunday Funday. Shhh don’t tell too many people!

10 minutes from the upper east side? $ 5 drafts? Batting cage? Mini golf? Beer garden and tons of outdoor seating? Oh yeah and a two level golf range with $ 14 large buckets? Boom! I love you Randalls Island. It feels like a secret oasis in the middle of a barren island where no one lives.

You can play 2 side-​by-​side 18-​hole minigolf courses –albeit pretty dull ones — for about $ 11. I was there an a very hot summer Friday and we were the only people playing minigolf. But then again, this was during Electric Zoo, so any sane person knew to stay far, far away from Randall’s Island. The minigolf area is mostly shaded with trees, but that unfortunately means that the greens are littered with fallen leaves. There’s a bar and a golf pro shop. Best way to get there and back is probably thei golf center’s own shuttle, which picks up and drops off up and down 2^nd ave, I believe, for a nominal fee.

Well, we had ourselves a little golf holiday down on Randall’s Island. And it. was. fabulous! Here are some of the highlights:

1) Double-​decker driving range! The top level doesn’t have a roof, or proper stall dividers, but when we went there was only one other person up there, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. During peak hours, a large bucket (110 balls) will only set you back $ 14, which is less than half the rate of Chelsea Piers ($ 30 for 113 balls).
2) There is a free Practice Green behind the batting cages, complete with a sand trap & several holes to aim for. I practiced my chipping & putting here. Disclaimer: I am not that good at chipping or putting.
3) Wait, did I casually mention Batting Cages in that last list item? At a golf center? Oh yes. Only $ 3.50 for 30 pitches, with your choice of slow or fast softball or baseball! (Thirty pitches is more than enough for me to realize that I’ve hung up my sliding shorts for good. Back to the range I go!)
4) There’s also a Grass Tee area, but you have to pay $ 14 for that. I didn’t try it, because I haven’t played enough to move beyond the normal tees hahah. But it’s very well kept, & I think they let the lawn rest once a week.
5) If you’re not into golf at all, but your significant other is, there is a lot to do otherwise! I saw a foozball table, ping pong table, a phone charging station, outdoor televisions (one was showing the Yankees game while we were there), wi-​fi, a small café that serves decent snacky food (sandwiches, nachos, etc.) & beer —
6) Maybe this needs its own number. THE BEER IS SO CHEAP HERE. GOOD BEER. GREAT BEERS! Like … $ 4 – 5. Seriously.
7) … ahem. Anyway, there’s lots to do. And if you feel like golfing a little, there’s a 36-​hole Mini Golf course you can putt around on! I didn’t get a chance to try it, but I’m planning on it next time.

This entire place feels like an adult playground. There is just so much to do, and you won’t hurt your wallet if you decide to spend an entire afternoon here. It’s a great casual date place, or even with small groups. You could probably get away with spending under $ 50 for an entire afternoon of hitting balls, having a couple of beers, & even a snack. (Oh, plus free parking, hey!)
I can’t wait to try out their mini golf course, & maybe use the range when it gets a little cooler (I believe the lower level has heaters!). I know my boyfriend has already come back here a couple of times to visit the driving range without me – ruuuuude! Next time I’m stowing away in his golf bag — I don’t want to miss another trip to this place!

We came here today to play mini golf. It’s been on our to do list forever and today became the day!
We walked from our apt (Central Harlem) over the RFK. It’s a good hour (2.5 mile) walk but we like to walk so that wasn’t an issue. Walking over the RFK was not so nice, especially compared to every other bridge out of Manhattan (I’ve done them all now!). In fact, if you are female, I wouldn’t recommend doing it alone. I don’t say that often but it is deserted and a little sketchy.
Now to the golf: $ 9 for unlimited mini golf! How anyone could think this isn’t a deal is beyond me. They have 2 18 hole courses side by side. We played one course and then ate then played the other. Both times it was not overly crowded on the courses and we didn’t really have to wait. This alone was impressive. Someone else said the courses were monotonous but they are way better maintained than every course in Nassau county that I’ve been to (and those would cost about the same or more).
The driving range looks good although we didn’t do it today. It is way cheaper than Chelsea Piers! There were a decent amont of people but again, it wasn’t overly crowded.
The «beer garden» was just ok. Not a great selection of beers nor was the food anything to write home about.
Didn’t do the batting cages but noticed it was $ 3.50. They were also not overly crowded.
This is a great place to come with kids or for a date or friends. It’s a nice park too. Definitely the least crowded I’ve seen.
I’d recommend taking the 103^rd foot bridge (less sketchy) although it’s a further walk to the golf center. The shuttle seems somewhat convenient from the UES but it’s $ 12 round trip which seems steep. I think next time we’ll bike or drive. You have to pay the toll if you drive but it’s cheaper than a subway and shuttle (which would be what we would have to do) and there’s plenty of parking.

Randall’s Island is a little getaway from the city without leaving the city. Even better this getaway has a golf center. Randall’s Island Golf Center is a great place to spend some time outdoors.
The trek to Randall’s Island is a little bit of a hassle, and the toll at the RFK, although not Randall’s Island’s fault, is the reason I have to give this place 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
At the Golf Center there are a number of things you can do to occupy your time. You have mini-​golf, batting cages, fooseball, table tennis, a basketball goal, and of course the driving range and the small pitching green.
On top of that there’s a nice garden area where you can sit down and drink a few beers right by the driving range. There’s also a food area, where they save typical bar food with tv’s to take a break and have drinks, while you watch people overextend themselves by the batting cage, a few steps over, and try to hit fast pitch baseballs and missing most of them.
If you have a car, then the trek out to Randall’s Island is worth it, despite the bridge toll. The $ 14 for a bucket balls, so much cheaper than Chelsea Piers with much more else to offer. On top of that, the rural atmosphere replicates the way golf is supposed to be played, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Terrific little golf center that is basically a hidden gem on the northern outskirts of NYC on Randall’s Island. Seems like not that many people realize there is a golf pro shop and driving range up here, as many would rather go to the more sexier facility downtown over at Chelsea Piers.
Pro shop, professional instructors that you can buy a package of lessons with, two level driving range, putting green to practice on, batting cages, mini golf course, and even a small beer garden and grill.
Buckets of balls go from large bucket — $ 13, Senior $ 12 (age 62) and a small bucket — $ 9, Senior $ 8 (age 62). Easy to get to as they offer a van service back and forth from the UES on the weekends. The shuttle van stops at the north east corner of 3^rd Ave. and 72^nd, 77^th, 86^th & 96^th Street. The shuttle fee is $ 11 round trip and children under 12 ride for free. The shuttle runs from 11am — 4pm on Saturday and Sunday and the last departing shuttle is around 5:30 pm. Starts running in the spring. I have used this service a few times and it’s totally worth it.
They also offer complimentary ping pong, foosball, shuffle board, and flat screens in the beer garden to watch sports on.
It’s a nice place to spend a sunny afternoon hitting golf balls, playing around in the batting cages, having a burger and a beer, all while enjoying the beautiful weather outdoors. This is also a good spot to rent out for birthday parties, events, corporate events, bar mitzvahs, engagement parties, and more.
Hey, they even offer wifi here in case you need to stay connected while whacking golf balls around.
