I was a first time patient. Walked in the door and the first thing the receptionist said was, «Can I have your insurance card». What happened to «hello». He didn’t introduce himself. Walked in the room and asked what the problem was. Seemed annoyed answering questions. When I asked how my toes would look after permanently removing ingrown toenails he said «aesthetics don’t matter». Well, they do to me. Maybe I’m old fashioned but I could use a bit more customer service. Am going elsewhere.

Dr. Cavaliere was a pleasure to deal with. Even though he only assisted me with the removal of a foot wart I would highly recommend him for any other foot issue. He takes the time to explain everything every step of the way.

I had bunion surgeries on both feet in one year with Dr. Cavaliere. I was confident and satisfied enough to go back months later for the second one. He is very passionate and conscientious about what he does. He took the time to answer my many questions and explain the surgeries and why there was a different procedure for each. Dr. Cavaliere is honest and direct. His staff was just as helpful when it came to my many questions and offbeat sense of humor. I miss not going for my weekly therapy.

I would not recommend this doctor for orthotics. The pair that was made for me provided my feet with no support despite being told by the doctor that I have flat feet and collapsed arches. The doctor was difficult to speak with and said that the orthotics could not be corrected and that I needed to wear them with a shoe that had a slight heel. I purchased such a shoe and it made no difference.
I took the orthotics to two other specialists both of whom said that the orthotics were not right for my feet and that they were not much better than something I could have purchased at a drugstore. I ultimately went to another podiatrist who offered to send the orthotic out to be adjusted, despite Dr. Cavaliere telling me that it could not be done, but I decided to start over with a new pair and completely different style. The podiatrist give me a prescription for a new pair of orthotics.
I took that prescription to Orthotic Solutions and Spencer made me the best pair of orthotics I have ever had and for less money than I paid Dr. Cavaliere. I wasted a good sum of money at Dr. Cavaliere’s office. Despite that, I am very happy that I found Spencer at Orthotic Solutions who made me a handmade custom pair produced on the premises, which support my feet perfectly.
Needless to say, I won’t be going back to Dr. Cavaliere’s office but will have all my orthotics made at Orthotic Solutions in the future.

I pick Dr. Cavaliere office out of my insurance list. I have been seeing him for a month now. I did surgery with him. His office is what a doctor’s office is suppose to be. In and out. My appointments are always on time. The staff is professional and so is the doctor. Dr. Cavaliere always have a lesson for me. (I tend to like that). I had paper work sent over to the office for my job and they filled it out and sent it back to me the same day. The day after my surgery, one of the staff member called to check that I was doing ok. All in all I would recommend this office

So I’ve been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis. I been getting physical therapy from Dr. Cavalere for a month now. The office is spacious, clean and the staff is very friendly as well as knowledgeable. They seems to accept many insurances and they are bilingual.
The office is near the 6 train and is across from a Starbucks. Can’t ask for more.

Been going to Dr Cavaliere for my on and off foot troubles for two years now. He’s an exceptionally nice Doctor, knowledgable and helpful. My first few sessions with him were quite painful and to be honest, i didn’t think i was going to continue. So he worked with me to come up with an alternative solution and helped my fix my ailment. Definitely recommend!
p. s. to again comment on someone else’s post, his office is completely renovated as of 2011.

I was walking around on a really painful ankle/​foot for a while, and thought I’d better see a podiatrist. I’ve been to podiatrists in the past and met some quacks and some really good doctors, so although I just picked Dr. Cavaliere’s name out of my insurance company’s book, I thought I’d give him a try.
The office itself isn’t spa-​like, nor does it need to be. It’s clean and all of the equipment seems to be functioning properly, so I don’t know what the other reviewer really needs — I’d rather a good doctor with a shoddy waiting room rather than a bad doctor with a spectacular room.
Anyhoo…Dr. Cavaliere was able to isolate my pain and did the standard tests in the office — an xray and an ultrasound (to view the tendons). He thought perhaps I had a tibial tendon tear, so he sent me on for an MRI just to be sure. Luckily it wasn’t a tear, but tendonosis, so when I returned to the office we then did electrical stim and ultrasound therapies. He seems very knowledgable and I felt comfortable with his diagnosis and treatment — especially seeing as I’ve just returned from a week-​long trip to London with very little pain from walking all week. He suggested orthotics, which I agreed to since my old ones are 8 years old, at least…
So…my assessment is he’s a good doctor who knows his stuff and treated me appropriately. The receptionist seems to be on top of everything and is pleasant when I call or go in. The aides he has working for him aren’t the sharpest or the most personable, but far from rude.

Dr. Cavaliere is very good. However, his patient rooms are in serious need of being updated.
