Couldn’t decide between 3 and 4 stars… I got a Gilt City deal for a facial and I’ve only had one other facial before so I don’t have much to compare it to – that being said, I really enjoyed the experience (I saw Juliana who was very nice) but I’m still not sure I’m dying to go back and spend the money, definitely not at full price. I told her at the beginning that my «problem areas» were the few milia on my cheeks and blackheads on my nose. She explained that she’d do her best with the milia but some might have to be taken off by a dermatologist (fair). She spent maybe 6 – 8 mins doing the extractions and although my skin felt good afterwards, later that night I was able to easily get rid of a bunch more clearly visible blackheads on my own. For anyone with sensitive skin, I’m always worried about mine being irritated by new products but nothing she used was a problem at all.
Comments on the salon: overall a nice place, great location in Soho but I wouldn’t say it’s a «spa» experience. While I was in the small waiting room, a few staff members were arguing about something to do with couples massages (sounded like none of them wanted to take those appts)…it went on for probably 10 minutes basically right in front of all the customers waiting, so that was pretty unprofessional. On top of that, there was a lot of commotion (people rushing around, etc.) outside the room during my session so it was hard to really relax.

Spa seems great. I had only one service there so far but I love all the little details of the place. Staff is very very welcoming and nice. They have cute, personal, and pretty decorations everywhere, including restroom. They offer you flavored waters, and you can help yourself to cookies or candy as part of your spa time. It’s all very welcoming and lovely and I felt very feminine being in that environment, and of course enjoyed my fantastic massage.

Really really really awful customer service. I paid in advance for 3 sets of lashes. Every time I call on the phone during regular hours, an answering machine picks up. I tried to reschedule an appointment but no one answered the phone, so I left a message. I called back the day of appt and was told that there would be a 50 $ fee because it was less than 24 hours before appt, and they had no other spots. The email confirmation was worded that it would be 30 $ if I changed within 24 hours yet the snot nose on the phone said they would charge 50. I called a few day later for another appointment and no one answered phone. No one ever called me back. Yesterday I called again and no answer. Still no call back. It’s interesting that they have my money for buying lashes in advance yet it is impossible to get anyone to call me. NOT HAPPY At ALL. ps, the technicians are great and they are all smiles when you are there with your credit card paying in advance for services.

I’ve been to Red & White Spa five times now after I purchased a package deal, and I am very grateful to have found Electra! Electra is (pun intended) a goddess, who has done wonders for my skin. I had a really bad breakout due to a reaction to a product, and her facial and advice helped clear it up within three days. She often recommends products to you but they are affordable and last awhile, plus she is never too pushy about them. I’m glad so far that I took her suggestions as they helped me a lot. Thanks Electra!
Ps also saw another staff person for a facial when Electra wasn’t available but I don’t recall her name– apologies! She was good but if you are going for a facial do yourself a favor and visit Electra.

I love coming here! This place is absolutely fantastic. I particularly enjoy their cucumber and strawberry water offerings :) Its a small spa, but well kept and professional. I have been coming her for almost 2 years. I regularly partake in two of their services, waxing and lash extensions.
1. Beverly is absolultey amazing! I typically get natural look extensions but have recently upgraded to glamor look (I think I’m getting used to them). She’s very nice and knows just what length and size are right for my features. This session can be time consuming (1.5 hours) but she works quickly and is usually done in less time. The room is relaxing and peaceful (I tend to fall asleep, sorry!). When I’m all finished, she makes sure to fan my lashes long enough so they are dry and my eyes don’t sting. I highly recommend her for your lash extensions.
2. Dominica is fantastic! I literally won’t let anyone else wax me. She’s quick, thorough and really friendly! I’ve been having Brazilian waxes for more years than I’d like to admit, and she is by and far the best esthetician I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. I highly recommend visiting her the next time you need some grooming! She has many other skills, which I I want to partake in, but just haven’t quite gotten to… yet!

Absolutely love my eyelashes! They look natural and gorgeous!

bad service! i been doing my lashes over 3year, this is my first time try this place from groupon deal here, the place have good review with lashes but it wasn’t right place to go, only one type of lashes and cheap glue here and they don’t know how to style customer different type of shape. 4day over still felt steam my eye a lot when it got wet. It’s not suppose to be steam after few days

I have have been going to red and white spa since last year and every time I go I have a excellent experience and the staff is excellent. Electra is caring and the best. I have recommended this place to several people. My son went and love the place.

I got a Groupon for eyelash extensions and purchased the 110 lash set, full priced at $ 175. The facility is basic, no frills. I asked for curl lashes and for the cat eye look — the longest at 12 and gradually being shorter towards the middle. I emphasized that I wanted the appearance of volume over length.
When finished, my lashes don’t look very full. I normally get a 90 lash set at my usual place and it is plenty for a full, natural look. I highly doubt this was 110 pieces. There are visible gaps between my lashes. The technician also used the 12 length almost all the way across. There’s no cat eye shape. Overall this was an overpriced and underperforming service. I can get the quality and results I expect elsewhere for half the price.

I had a facial with Dominika on Friday. It was great!!! She has wonderful knowledge about the skin and was able to answer a lot of my questions, she’s very gentle and pleasant. Overall a very positive experience and I’ll gladly return soon! Thanks Dominika my skin looks and feels much better.

I saw a great groupon deal for a facial and decided to try it out. From the moment I walked in I was greater very kindly and offered flavored water. Then I had my facial with electra. She is great very kind and gentle (I am very sensitive during extractors). She even massaged my feet and arms while I had the mask on (delightful). She recommended a product when I left but did not push it on me at all. I think I will be back!

Do not book with Courtney. Worse eyelash extension experience I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve had my lashes done at many places. She is extremely rough and will pull out your natural lashes often and her heavy hand weighs down on your head the entire time. Usually, I fall asleep while getting my lashes done, but there was no chance of that happening this time around. She yanked and pulled at my poor lashes the entire time and my eyes burned very badly too. I think she should be fired as I have never had such careless service. This place clearly pays a lot for rent and decided to go cheap on the labor because they have so many inexperienced estheticians. Believe me, if you care about your precious eyes, do not come here!

Got a Groupon Deal for «110» eyelash extension. The technician was sweet and asked if I wanted cat eyes. She recommended 10s or 11s, but I think I opted for 11a or 12s, with 14s on the side
LOVED it, and am newly addicted to lash extensions. Girl at front desk recommended I not get them wait for 48hrs to really set the glue. Those babies were full on glamorous from 10÷18−11÷25. They started looking more «natural» after that, not as glam. Fine by me — my regular lashes are stubby things. They all came out ¹²⁄₄. Ridiculous. I wore make up maybe 3 times the entire time I had them on, and I got multiple compliments and inquiries about my lush lashes for weeks. I just started wearing make up again earlier this week, and I missed my extensions terribly.
Great spot. Definitely recommend.

I came here last night for a massage and was very pleased with my experience overall. They really know the way to a girl’s heart… first they offer you one of three flavored waters, cucumber, lemon, or strawberry. Then they offer you cookies and chocolate. When you think it can’t get any better, they give you wine. Red or White… like the name, which I cleverly figured out.
Anyhow, my massage was with Iwona. It was great and she was wonderful. The experience was different than any massage I have had before and now I know why. I think it has something to do with the fact that she has a background in Yoga that seems to aid her massage approach and technique. It was very relaxing and she did wonders on the built up tension that I had in places I didn’t even know I was holding tension. She’s great at explaining things, and helping you understand your body and to connect better with it during the massage. She even helps guide you with your breathing to make sure you’re getting the full effects of the service. I received deep tissue work and hot stones, which was a first for me, and I highly recommend them.
The spa is clean and the staff is very nice and accommodating. I didn’t feel like the prices were outrageous either. I would definitely come back and recommend this spa to others.

I needed (well, maybe «want» is the more accurate word) my eyelashes done, so I looked up deals nearest my hotel. Conveniently, I found a deal on Groupon for the glam set of lashes, and I’m happy I did.
Pros: Friendly people, love the lashes (I’ve been to half a dozen lash salons in the city, and these are great), timely, wine provided, peaceful atmosphere. Courtney did mine, and I highly recommend her.
Cons: I think a pillow would have made a world of difference. For some reason I was extremely uncomfortable after the first hour. My neck was sore and I was dying to get out of there. It’s odd, but even the slightest pressure on your head for that amount of time can start to feel torturous. Id suggest a pillow to ease that tension.

Changed my appt time and they were very accommodating. I also was 30 min late due to public transport and it was Halloween night 530pm. They were very understanding. Natalie was detail oriented and fast and the final result was amazing. She had another appt scheduled for 630 so I was only going to have time for about 90 lashes however their next client was running late and she took me back into the room to create a fuller look. It came out great! They offered me the refill package for 59 $ a refill which is pretty good but it would need to be purchased up front and I’m not committed fully to keeping this up. I already have long lashes and get them permed which works very well for me, I wanted the dramatic look for my Halloween costume. I’ll submit a pic of the lashes close up in my costume as well. Would definitely recommend this place. Front desk girl was very nice as well.

I had been back a few times after my review and came back yesterday, best massage I had ever had! My body really feels so much better. I’d been under a lot of stress and the massage was very helpful. I can’t wait to come back! Karina was just amazing!
The place is nice and clean always! Staff are very nice and professional.

This review is only for the incompetent cashiers, but unfortunately they are the most important part of the transaction because, they have your credit card information.
I purchased a three facial pack hence paid upfront, and came here three times to see Electra. About a month ago I checked my credit card statement and realized they also charged me three times after all of my visits, IN ADDITION to whatever I already paid. The good thing is the owner was very apologetic and refunded me, but for the last visit, he refunded me the microabrasion session, not the actual facial. SO, I’m still $ 20 short. At this point, I will just let it go. But unfortunately this completely wipes off the good deed Electra has done to my face, I will never be able to trust them with my credit card on file. Don’t think I will be back.

Came here to get eyelashes done — natural type and I’m very happy with them! I’ve had eyelashes done several times before and this is one of the best I’ve had. They feel great– lightweight and like my own lashes. I wanted this service so my own eyelashes would look more full but also natural enough for work.
Rachel did my lashes and she was gentle and quick– completed in one hour. Perfect in her technique. She would also ask questions to make sure the process was comfortable. The salon bed is the only reason I’m not giving five stars. It’s hard and the pillow is flat– laying still for one hour would be easier and more comfortable with a bed that isn’t so hard. The spa music in the background definitely helped me to relax.
Overall this place is wonderful and would recommend Rachel for eyelashes. Good location-​small salon but efficient and stylish

Officially done. Lost a handful of eyelashes the day of the procedure. No consistent employees. New receptionist every 2 weeks and new technicians every month. I’ve had some great treatments here but now it’s become a complete hit or miss at the Red & White Spa.
Worst off no one cares if you kindly speak up and express a concern. Guess being a long time customer means nothing. Don’t waste your time here or be fooled by the wonderful reviews. Customers receive a discounted service for 5 star reviews.
