I have been eating here for about 20 years. The food is delicious. Staff is very friendly. When I call they know my voice automatically! Their club sandwiches are awesome. I wouldn’t change anything about this place.

This place is a clasic coffee shop, I had a pretty good greek omlet, granted I asked for sausgae and they gave it to me on the side, but it’s like 6 bucks, so really for the price you cant go wrong.

I don’t understand how this has a decent rating. I always cut the servers some slack if the service is slow, but this was overboard. We sat there clearly finished with plates in front of us for at least 15 minutes while the servers walked past us without looking at us, the server had a bad attitude, and not in the charming small diner kind of way, I was charged for a coffee I ordered but never received, and the food is bad for cheap diner food, which is my favorite genre of food and I’m not picky about. Next time I’ll go to the poorly reviewed grocery store up up the street from Reme and buy my own eggs, at least it’s self service

Classic Seinfeldian diner on upperUpperUpper west I’m nearly in the river hi Yankees side. Was going to do a walking egg sandwich from the deli, my $ 3.50 staple, but saw the $ 5.35 special in the window, with meat, OJ, the works, and decided to have imaginary coffee with my imaginary horrible horrible friends. No one told me life was gonna be this way. My job’s a joke I’m broke my love life… Well that’s okay. But if this diner was near me, I’d check the resale value on my Russian bride and eat here every morning. Just kidding Olga, I’d still eat healthy even if I had you deported. In fact, maybe healthier.

I use to come to this place a lot until I ordered wheat pancakes trying to eat healthy and it tasted funny but with the syrup I didn’t pay it no mind. I ended up on the toilet bowl all day shitting my brains out I come back with my food asking what’s wrong with your wheat pancakes the cook says«it spoils very fast so we still try to use the spoiled batter» smh and this is why I am a proud foodie at Wahi Dinner down the block thank you…

Perfect little diner for a late hungover breakfast. Got the french toast special which came with two eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, home fries, and toast. All were delicious. Best bacon I’ve had in months, french toast was buttery and fluffy, eggs were perfectly over easy, total was $ 11. My roommates were stoned and we all left in a satisfied daze.

We come here for breakfast/brunch all the time as it’s essentially free(less than $ 4 for coffee + juice, eggs and hashbrowns). What with the state of the economy, I think I actually make money by eating here. I don’t understand investing. ANYWAY. The rest of the menu is also great, including the Greek salad which is insanely large and their pancakes and waffles. You can’t go wrong. The waiters are so friendly and great and the food comes out real zippy-like. A most excellent spot in WaHi, just off the A train.

Great diner food at a great price! Was perfect for a mid morning meal. I had the breakfast burrito, and it was wonderful!

There was a time when going into the city was not going to kill your wallet for a meal. There is a time where you just want some good old fashioned bacon, eggs, and toast and some shitty diner coffee without having to spend $$$ or wait a ridiculous amount of time. Reme makes me remember those times. Order their eggs sunnyside up. You’ll love it. They’re quick, fast, it’s rarely packed and they are really cheap. Simple. Four stars. Edit: GETTHEFIXWRAP. THATISALL.

If you are looking for a super-fast, delicious bite to eat that’s conveniently right next to the exit to A/C/1 trains at 168, this is where you should head. I’ve come here a lot of times when I was in a hurry and always had speedy service. Not only is the service quick, but generally about 5 – 10 minutes after ordering my food it is sitting in front of me. The wait staff is diligent about refilling your coffee, which is a huge plus for the caffeine addict in me. Other positives: –They serve breakfast all day! I love breakfast food so this is an enormous bonus. –Their portions are generous, and their prices are top notch(think less than $ 10 for an enormous plate of food that is near impossible to finish for an average person). –It could seriously not be any closer to the train station without actually being inside the train station. It’s pretty standard diner-fare as far as food and ambiance are considered, but worth it if you are on a budget or in a rush!

3.5 stars. Better than your average diner! Yay I love you Washington Heights! The best friend lives a few blocks away, so after looking for lunch on a Sunday, we stopped by this cute place. She ordered sirloin steak that came with grilled onions, mashed potatoes, soup, and a veggie side. I got the veggie burger deluxe with fries made into a wrap. Food was pretty decent sized for the prices. It wasn’t the best in the world, it’s obviously a diner and the whole point of a diner is large variety of food to pick from when you are hungover. Everything on the steak was canned and reheated except the onions and steak. I wonder if the gravy is packaged. The chicken soup is straight up Campbell’s! My veggie burger wrap was underwhelming, but decent with a side of cole slaw. I like the fries, they are not too greasy. They’re obviously not fresh but it was filling enough when you are hungry and diner food hits the spot. Also great service! Better than your average diner. Our waiter was funny and not overly attached like many that check on you too much. The best part of the meal was a table of 8 hipster Caucasian folks next to us that stayed LONG after they were done eating started loudly comparing TV show actor performances. One guy was so bored he started fixing his watch. I mean, the things you don’t get anywhere else in Manhattan!

This place is really cheap for breakfast specials if you come in before 11am. The food isn’t spectacular, and I would recommend staying away from the pancakes. They have good diner coffee and a lot of options for breakfast. The service isn’t great, but if you’re looking for an economic option in Washington Heights, this is a go-to.

Great place to have a good meal at a good price! I’ve never had a bad meal here. Their daily specials are all under $ 10.00 and breakfast is served all day for only $ 3.95! Nice old fashion diner like you don’t see anymore! Highly recommended!

So this is a great little neighborhood diner. No wonder the Columbia kids flock here. From the outside, you might feel persuaded to just keep moving, but once you get inside, it’s a cute little place with that old dinner charm. The food is solid. It’s not gourmet, but it comes in healthy portions and is tasty. The price is perfect and about as cheap as you’ll find in the city. Cash only!

Definitely an old-school kind of place with great service. We recently had breakfast here after my husband ran the NYRR5K in the neighborhood. Considering that thousands of people were around, we thought we’d be waiting a long time, but they seated us in 10 minutes and had us nourished another 10 minutes after that. The food was good, the service was great. Would definitely recommend breakfast here if you are in the neighborhood. Our server offered us hot sauce and it was AWESOME! Definitely check it out.

Other reviews will go into more detail, but basically this place is a solid no-frills diner with great breakfast specials. Service is good, fast, and cheap. Cash only, but there is an ATM inside.

The lovely middle aged woman who was our waitress was wonderful and made the whole experience worth it! She saw that i didnt like what i had ordered and didnt charge me for it, though i loved her even before she did that! This place is warm and welcoming with a lovely mix of people and great staff. Everything i want a diner to be! (The breakfast burrito with salsa is a little weird… just FYI)

Without rehashing the prior points too much, here goes: Eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, coffee and orange juice– $ 5.50. All that and a total wait time of about five minutes. These guys turn and burn which is appreciated when you’re in a rush and want a decent breakfast. The folks who work here are friendly and efficient and I don’t know how the cooks keep up, but they do. They have a decent lunch menu too, but their corned beef reuben is a little off and my turkey sandwich needed some TLC to shake the blandness. Anything breakfast oriented is spot on though. A cup o’ joe and their pancakes get me going before sunrise. Signed head shot for your wall Reme Foods, I’m a fan.

I’ve only been here once(for breakfast), and I was absolutely astounded by how cheap and filling the food was. Cash only, but hopefully you would have at least that little cash with you! :p The breakfast specials are incredible; complementary toast, giant portions of hash browns and corned beef, and healthy portions of orange juice(not outrageously large, mind you). I really couldn’t finish mine, and I think I’d recommend sharing. The food is not of high quality, and I wouldn’t travel for Reme’s breakfast, but if you’re a hungry student nearby, Reme’s is pretty great if you’re craving diner food. The ambiance is vintage casual, which means that you can feel free to roll out of your bed in sweatpants and hit up Reme’s for breakfast. Yay!
