For $ 36, its hard to complain, lets just say, they get the job done.
My massage women was very strong, and sometimes it kind of hurt, but that’s what I liked. I work in a chair bending down all day, and she really got all the knots our of my neck and back. The weird part is, they massaged my glutes. I’ve never had this happen during a massage before and was open to it since she already pulled my undies down below my butt and I was too relaxed to care. I actually found it quite funny since my boyfriend was on the table right next to me and was imagining his reaction to this. He didn’t complain haha! We actually thought it was quite funny since we usually get very nice, expensive massages during vacations and this has never never happened. But like I said, they get the job done.
The only thing I really disliked was that the rooms weren’t rooms. more like just curtains covering a part of it, and that meant we could hear everything (the guys next door getting a massage, the masseuses talking just outside our curtains, and just any noise in general.)
Oh! And there was a sign that said no «hanky panky» which we thought was hilarious. I guess that means we’re in good hands? Haha.

Amazing no frills place to get a massage. Easy access via BD at Bowery and the prices can’t be beat! I once got a 1 hour full body massage and fell asleep on the table. The foot massages are also to die for! They’ve made a loyal customer out of me

This place is as good as it gets! — as long as you have the right expectations. And with their prices, it can’t be beat. No seriously, how is it so affordable?
I bought my parents a couple of gift certificates for body work here due to all the high reviews on Unilocal.They are the type to prefer a no-​frills experience over any luxurious high end spa as long as the massage itself is good. So don’t expect anything fancy, but do expect to have all your kinks thoroughly worked on. Asian masseuses will knead the crap out of you but you will walk away feeling like a brand new person.
My parents are not ones to rave about anything, but they both said the massage was amazing. I was so surprised that I had to come leave this review because they are not easily impressed.
My dad in particular has been having bad back problems and said his masseuse did a great job. He even tipped her extra even though the gift certificates already included prepaid tip. A few days later, he booked another appointment with her. We’re now thinking of getting him a couple more massages from here as a Father’s Day gift.
For these rates, you should at least try it once and treat yourself.

After dinner and dessert in the area I thought I would drop by for a late night massage since this place closes at midnight.
I had the 1 hour full body massage + additional 10 minutes free when you check-​in on Unilocal (remember to mention to the receptionist so they can relay the message to the masseuse) = 70 minutes for $ 36.00.

Quick tip: If you absolutely hate noise then do not have a massage on the first floor where the reception is located. You will hear the door opening/​closing and talking between customers, receptionist, and masseuse. There is a 2^nd and 3^rd floor which is quieter.

I like the SPA. new and clean. The massage was ok. A bit too soft. I don’t she disn’t massage my feet and my frint legs as they usualy do during the hour deal. I will go back to try again because of the $ 36 hour deal.

Great spot, very clean and polite. Been to several spots mostly in Flushing but so far this spot has been my favorite. They dont kill my feet like other spots do.

Probably the most legit/​cheapest/​no frills spa place in the city! This place is a hole in the wall however its clean and always packed. Be sure to call in advance to book an appointment! I called in a few hours before I wanted to go in, and was able to snag 2 spots for myself and my bf.
Full body massages are $ 36 excluding tip. You have the option of choosing a female or male masseuse — this is totally in your discretion. It’s an hour long massage and apparently if you check in on Unilocal you get an additional 10 minutes (which I totally missed).
For an easy no frills place and if you don’t mind the trek to Chinatown, this place is definitely a must go to for your achy back and neck pains.

I’ve been coming here for several months now every month or so, and I really like this place.
The most important reason I like this place is because they are able to hit the exact pain points and put a lot of strength/​pressure (although adjustable) into their massage. I can’t find too many places that can do this, even though they cost over twice the amount for the service.
It’s conveniently located, accessible to a lot of trains, and amidst a lot of great eats between Chinatown and Noho. I usually get the 1 hour massage for $ 36 in cash. Very reasonable, and they even have a point system. Your 11^th massage is free. Unlike some other massage places, there’s no mandatory tip amount, although I like to pay more than 20% because the massage is so cheap!
The service is great. It’s no fuss, you feel amazing afterwards, always provide water afterwards, they’re super nice, sometimes offering more time. Plus, I can tell they do care about your pain points and are careful not to do anything, e.g. temporary pain relief, if it will affect you negatively in the long run and providing more time for relief.
This is my go to in NYC!

My boyfriend and I came here for couple massage about two weeks ago. I let them know that we did not want a deep tissue massage but just a light nice one. They were absolutely perfect. you also cannot beat the price for an house full body massage.

I have been getting massages here for the past 3 years. Idk why I have never reviewed them before. If you’re looking for a fancy shnancy spa this is not the place for you. It’s cute, clean and has good service with great price! The masseurs speak little English but host/​cashier speaks fluently. My mom and friends have loved it as much as I do. No funny business here. Very respectful. (Bowery location). It’s also close to Joe’s Shang Hai, Vivi bobba tea, and Chinese ice-​cream factory, so you can make a day of it! (They are like 2 mins walk from each other).
The only reasons I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it’s not a full service spa, and I have had 2 not such great masseurs in the past. But over all good service and recommend for a Chinatown experience! :)

Pretty close to a 5, however, a one hour foot massage used to be $ 16 and now it’s $ 22.
Times, they are a’changin’.
But it is quiet, relaxing, peaceful, and the strength in these men’s hands are NO JOKE.
I ended up adding on a half hour back massage too, and although it almost hurts sometimes, it feels sooooo good at the end. I am always so tense. I needed this.
When people ask me what my hobbies are I am going to start including «cheap chinatown massages» in that list. In fact, go ahead and put that at the TOP of my list.

Came here around 10PM on Friday since a lot of the other foot places were closing early. They were able to accommodate 4 people which was great! The stairway to get into the place is sketchy but the interior is very clean. The massages always depend on who you get but I think everyone in my group was happy with what they got. I’d definitely put them into my rotation of places to go.

I’ve been to this place twice now, and I have to say the host (if that’s what he is? The one who makes the appointments and communicates with the masseurs/​masseuses) is really nice. He booked my appointments with no problem and took us right away even though we were 20 minutes early.
The host was really accommodating about whatever my friends and I wanted to do (there were 3 of us). We all did an hour and he let us choose whatever body parts and for however long with the same price of $ 36! They even let you request a female/​male to massage you,
I had a man massage me and it was pretty good! Kind of rough at times, but I didn’t really tell them to go softer, so that’s my fault. But I felt really relaxed and my back feels great! I did 45 minutes upper body and 15 minutes feet.
My friend did the same and she was right next to me. Rating 4 stars because her massage wasn’t that great and her masseuse was falling asleep on her, kept leaving the room, only to find out later it was to get her coffee.
It sucks when you take your friends somewhere, and they have a bad experience. There should definitely be some consistency if two people are going somewhere together and they’re doing it side-​by-​side.
My third friend got a full body massage in a different room and she said hers was great, so maybe it was just one of the masseuses.
I’ll probably come back again. The prices are great and this spot has the best reviews.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! So reasonably priced and none of that fru fru spa stuff that makes for a very stuck up atmosphere. I went twice last week (one for full body work and the 2^nd time just for a foot rub). The workers there are all very very nice and do excellent work. I had body work done by Tony and will be requesting him in the future, he turned my very tense shoulders into butter. Tony knew exactly where my problem spots were and did an excellent job of taking care of all of them in one hour. I didn’t have to instruct him or anything.
I feel great and a week later still feel great. Massages, I think, are important to be healthy and my job (and chest size) can definitely do some damage to my back and shoulders. I’m glad I found a place where I can get massage, relax, and ease up my very tense shoulder and back pains for CHEAP.
The spa is very, very CLEAN, relaxing, dimly lit for extra comfort, and very quiet. You would never believe you’re in Chinatown and the city is bustling right outside.

The host is very nice and accommodating.
My massage was on the top floor and the stairs look very sketchy. Also don’t use the bathroom up there because there’s no sink! It’s supposed to be a staff bathroom, but then where do they wash their hands?
The price is cheap, but the lack of cleanliness is a recurring theme. The towel used to cover me looked dirty. Same with the towels that they used to wipe me down.
The massage itself was very deep tissue, but it was to the point where the masseuse was not paying attention and really pressed down near my spine too much and to the point that it was painful. Also he didn’t understand when I asked him to go lighter on the area near my spine because we didn’t speak the same language.
Overall, the price is really good, and they can get the knots out, but I don’t think I would come back because I’m not a fan of the lack of cleanliness and care from the masseuse.

After a night of dancing I was in the mood for a massage. I convinced my cousin and his gf to get one too since they never got an asian one! Unilocal’s high rating steered me to this spot and it was close to where we had lunch. I was afraid of calling to schedule an appointment since they might not speak english that well so i walked in. The front desk was man’d by friendly English speaking staff. I asked for 3 massages at the same time so we don’t have to wait for each other. They informed me 3:15pm which was a good time for us.
We came back around 3pm and they were accommodating and started right away. My cousin and his gf got the couples room and i got a single. I actually prefer a man to do these types of massages because my back/​shoulders are full of knots and i know they have the strength to beat the crap outta me. Its hilariously painful but i refuse to speak up because i’m paying to get a deep tissue massage, not some slow sensual crap. My cousin and his gf got 2 females. They enjoyed their massages but we were in pain as well! LOL. My cousin couldn’t relax (constantly tense) so the masseuse would probably massage harder to spite him. He also refused to speak up lol. My cousin’s gf is petite and skinny, so her masseuse also roughed her up because she didn’t have a lot of fat/​muscle to massage. We were hysterically laughing when we left the place.
As everyone has mentioned, this is a no frills place but not grimey at all. I was surprised to see so many Americans as it is the heart of Chinatown.
I was a little hesitant about the price, but $ 36 seems to be on the cheaper side of NYC spots. I’m use to $ 20 – 25 places that do similar massages, but those are in California and Vegas. This place is definitely worth it even after you tip your masseuse. The three of us will try to come back if we’re in chinatown again as i really enjoyed my massage.

I tried this place out for the first time last night and will definitely be back! First of all, they make it very clear «Legitimate Service, No Hanky Panky, For Sanitary Reason Keep Under Pant On» and they have several male masseuses. This makes me feel comfortable with the integrity of the place and that I won’t be laying on a table once covered in male secretions.
Secondly, it I s clean and relaxing with comfortable tables and soothing music. They offer aromatherapy massage with scented oils for an extra $ 5 which was well worth it for me.
The massage I had last night was simply amazing (Tony) with the perfect amount of pressure, and hands that felt my tight areas and gently kneaded them loose. It’s a full body massage face down with hot stones at the end. They are so professional and truly masters at their craft.
Lastly, and this is awesome, you can’t beat $ 36 for a full hour of bliss! This massage was just as good if not better than more expensive ($ 100+) massages I’ve had. Plus, they have a punch card with the 11^th massage free.
Seriously, you should go.

I found Renew Day Spa on Unilocal and have been coming here for the past year-​and-​a-​half. This place is perfect for full body work on a budget — it’s just $ 36 for an hour. Yes, there are cheaper places in Chinatown, but this is low enough for me given the quality and predictably of service. Hour foot massages are $ 25, too.
Renew Day Spa is clean and there are several partitioned private rooms on the third floor. The second floor is mostly composed of large recliner-​like chairs for foot massages.
My only gripe with Renew is that they often play very aggressive, violin lead, classical music. Is Tasmin Little hiding in a closet here? It’s that or this Academy Award winning cinematic movie music, which is also not relaxing. I’d much rather that they consistently played zen garden music that makes me think of lily pads and rain drops. If they made this change I’d completely abandon my other place.

My coworker recommended this spot to me. For the price who could argue or have high expectations?
I was able to get an appointment after work with another coworker. The person on the phone misunderstood and put us in the couples massage room. Needless to say, it gave us a good laugh!
The massage was alright; I could’ve used more pressure but I did feel much better after. The space is like any other body work place. Nothing fancy but it was clean and the staff were more than professional.
I plan to come back!

I booked a couples massage with my girlfriend. She got there earlier than me and texted me while waiting downstairs, saying that it seemed sketchy.
I arrived a few minutes late and we walked up the stairs into a nice little spa. And no, it was not sketchy, they were really professional.
The couples massage room is 2 fights up, we had to wait a little because they were behind schedule. This place is small but clean. The rooms are separated by curtains.
The best part is that there is a sign on the wall saying «no hanky panky» and to not take off your underwear. I read the no hanky panky part but did not read the rest and took off everything by mistake.
The massage was good, if you check in with Unilocal,you get an extra 10min for free. $ 36 for 70 min of massage? Hell yes. They even used hot stones on your back.
If you pay with cash, there is no tax. They do accept credit cards too.
