I am so glad I tried this lunchtime class! Described as a neurologically-based strength training exercise system comprised of precisely sequenced movement that harmonizes muscle and nerve functions. Revolution in Motion is on the cusp of changing all that we know about body movement, from athleticism to peak performance, injury to wellness, and illness to health. What I got was a one on one session with a trainer who listened to my needs/body injuries/deficits, and tailored a class just for me.(Can you feel my smile). The studio itself has a look of a mix between a physical therapy space and a HIIT space, with some stations, lots of props and an overall quiet peacefulness that I loved. Apparently the owner is very into healing auto immune issues, and as I have one, I was so excited to see a cookbook for the AIP diet I bought it on the spot. That gave me a good feeling and it was uphill from there. So I met Rob the trainer and told him some issues, and since I was the only one in «class», he said he’d treat it like a personal session and asked to watch me walk(this is what a lot of doctors or PT’s do, b/c I have ankle and foot issues). We worked with tons of props on balance, ab work and stability, range of motion and strength. I definitely broke a sweat and have been smiling since. I just took another group class that was very similar, small sized with personal attention, and we did some partering which was fun. It was harder than the original class and the people that take this class seem to have a really nice energy, This workout is harder than you think, tackles every body part from your neck to your toes, literally, and you will be sore in a good way the next day. Thankfully all attention is paid to form and movement. Highly recommend for those with injuries, those that want a less intense workout but still want to keep your body moving and the blood flowing. You will not be disappointed. I am already scheduled for another class ;)
